“Season 3 of Total Drama Island is here folks! I’m Chris McLean, like you didn’t already know that… We have 14 contestants returning yet again competing for another million dollars! Yes, 14. NOT 16 like in the past seasons. Due to a “clause” in their contracts, winners have the right to decline playing in future seasons. Season 1 winner Priya has elected to not join us this time around, and Wayne decided to focus on his hockey career. Quite the shame… NOT! In their places we rummaged up two new suckers I-I mean players to join us for what will be the best season yet! How will Raj deal with an entire season without his hockey bro? How will Millie even survive without Priya to carry her? And how will the two newbies fit in with the seasoned vets? Find out tonight on… Total Drama Island!!! Seriously, are we gonna keep calling it this?”

The season starts on a yacht, carrying the 14 now young adults competing for the third time. The relationships that developed from the past two seasons have stuck minus a few new developments that happened in between seasons:
Bowie and Raj are still strong as ever, with Raj picking up more of Bowie’s likeness and sass, while maintaining the same loveable dumbness he always had.
Julia and MK have been quietly dating the last 5 months. Nobody knows and they both intend to keep it that way as to not draw too much attention, not that there’s daily speculation online anyways…
Chase and Emma are well… Chase and Emma, textbook definition of Make Up and Break Up squared. They are currently in break up mode to the shock of absolutely nobody.
Axel and Ripper are surprisingly engaged. With Ripper proposing to Axel a month before the season with a Ring Pop. While it was disgusting to the fellow campers the way they constantly sucked face on the show, they all support the pair for the sole reason of it working out being so unlikely that it was destined to be with how stable they are. Well… almost everyone, the sight of the two still makes MK and Julia want to vomit.
Then we have the solos. Caleb, Millie, Zee, Nichelle, Lauren, and Damien.
Caleb and Priya are still in a stable relationship, but with the latter opting out of the season, Caleb knows he has to have a good social game that isn’t just Priya to make it far.
Millie STILL hasn’t read Priya’s guide journal. She figured that Priya would be here but for the first time in the game, she will be on her own.
Zee lost his sponsorship with Civil Suits Soda after trashing the Fistful of Bananas flavor in the first episode of season 2. He found a new sponsorship with a dispensary in southern Ontario and is still the loveable goofball as before.
Nichelle Ladonna is out for blood this season. Julia screwed her over tremendously and made her look like an idiot on international TV. Her main focus is having a strong social and mental game to not get tricked again.
Lauren is back to the Scary Girl nobody but the fans love and admire. In between seasons, she found a job at a Haunted House themed restaurant as a server. Because of her nature, she was promoted to shift lead after only 2 weeks.
Lastly, Damien spent the year overcoming the rest of his fears, nothing can stop the once jumpy down to earth guy this time around!

Bowie and Raj are in a group with MK and Julia, with the latter pitching a pre game alliance…
“Hear me out, besides Raj the three of us all have a negative history stemming from the past two seasons. If we all want a legit shot at winning we NEED to stick together.” she explains
“I don’t know…” Bowie responds with doubt. “How can we possibly all trust each other when it's clear at some point we will want to part ways?”
“Because what we all did the last two seasons didn’t work, Bowie. If it did you and I would be a million dollars richer and we wouldn’t even need to be back.” Julia retaliates.
Raj then breaks his silence. “I’m down for whatever as long as we actually make this last. I wanna show Wayner that I can win this too!”
“You realize that he had a horseshoe so far up his ass it was coming out of his mouth right? He probably didn’t even know where he was half the time..” MK quips.
“He outlasted you in BOTH seasons MK…” said Raj sternly, showing that Bowie really is rubbing off on him, surprising the two girls.
“Touche…” MK responds with a nod of respect. “I think we can make this last. Do we have a deal?”
Bowie takes a second to think, looks at Raj who nods in approval. Still apprehensive he gives a slight sigh and reaches out his hand. “Deal…” he says, shaking Julia’s hand. A power alliance has formed before the season begins.

Damien and Millie are in a group with Caleb. The two guys are hyped for another chance while Millie has a slight look of despair on her face.
“Guys I don’t know how I'm gonna be able to do this without Priya…” she notes
Damien and Caleb are quick to console her.
“If I know how Priya works, she picked you up in season 1 because she saw the potential in you Millie, I know damn well she will be cheering you on from home.” Damien tells her.
“If you ever feel alone, don’t be shy to talk to me or Damien. We both will help in any way we can.”
Millie raises an eyebrow. “So like an alliance?”
Caleb and Damien look at eachother with a smile. “Yeah…” they both say in unison, “for Priya..”
Make that two pre-game alliances now formed.

The next group is full of wild cards, Chase, Zee, Lauren, Axel, and Ripper. The only difference is that there isn’t any game talk whatsoever. Chase, Zee, and Ripper are having normal “bro talk” while Axel watches Lauren giggle to herself.
“And then Emma is all like “WE ARE DONE CHASE!” and I'm like “I’m sure, see you next week babe!” and here we are now! She isn’t talking to me still but i’m sure that’ll change soon”
“I wish you and her were like Axel and I…” Ripper notes, “that being said. You both are invited to our wedding after the season, and Chase. I want you to be my best man.”
Chase gasps “No way bro! I’m down for sure!” He pauses for a second. “What does the best man do?”
“Like, be the best man at the wedding yo… you wouldn’t want to be the Worst Man. ” Zee responds inaccurately. This as expected fuels Chase’s ego.
“I’M GONNA BE THE BEST MAN THERE! RIPPER, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED DUDE!”
The dumb trio cheer in unison while Axel rolls her eyes with a smile. Suddenly, Lauren appears behind her out of seemingless nowhere. “They are all so dumb…” she notes
“Yeah but they are all harmless. Dumb, harmless, little idiots.” Axel responds with a chuckle.

The yacht comes to a stop and awaiting the 14 players are Chris, Chef, and two interns, one being a female around Julia’s height, who is of Asian descent holding a green flag, and the other being a European male who is built like Damien holding a yellow flag. When they all step on the dock, the season has officially started.
“Welcome back everyone for a third season! You all know how this works so I'll save the explanation and put you all into teams…” says Chris
“Team one we have Bowie, MK, Emma, Zee, Caleb, Axel, and Scary Girl. step to the left of the dock.”
“Team two leaves Raj, Julia, Chase, Damien, Nichelle, Ripper, and Millie. Please step to the right of the dock.”
Once the teams are on their respective sides Chris continues. “As we all know, Wayne and Priya opted out of the season which is a total tragedy…” he quips sarcastically. “But this works out because I decided to spice up the game by bringing in 2 new players to battle alongside you all! The two holding your flags are not interns, but your new teammate!” He faces the girl. Team one, your new teammate will be Quinn!”

Quinn’s audition tape takes place in her room. KPop posters are plastered on the walls along with multiple squishmellows scattered on her bed.
“Konnichiwa! I’m Quinn, I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, but my family moved to Vancouver when I was 6. I feel I would be a great addition to Total Drama because while my physique might seem a little lackluster at first sight…”
B-roll footage shows her hitting home runs in softball
“I’m super strong for my size, I captain my school’s softball team with D1 offers in the United States. Along with that I have consistent A’s in all my classes and I hardly crack under pressure. With my charm and likability I'm sure I'll be downplayed on the Island, and that’s exactly what I want! I want to prove ALL of them wrong…”

Quinn stands next to MK and smiles at her before rolling out her flag.
“Quinn’s team will be known as The Brute Beetles!”
Chris then faces the boy. “Team two, your new teammate will be Elias!”

Elias’ audition tape takes place inside a school, he has a semi thick Swedish accent.
“Hello Total Drama! I am Elias from Trollhatan, Sweden. I used to captain my school’s hockey team before uh… nevermind. Anyways, watching the first season and seeing Wayne and Raj perform got me wondering. If they can do it, why can’t I? They play hockey all the time and are very funny. Inspiration is always my fuel and I strive to be like them…”

Elias steps next to Raj and gives him a quick fist bump before rolling out his flag.
“Elias’ team will be known as The Atomic Ants! Before you all head to your cabins, any questions?”
Bowie and Millie raise their hands
“Nope? Perfect!” Chris declares. “Head down to your cabins everyone, your first challenge will take place tonight! You have about 3 hours to unpack, and welcome your new teammates to the game! I’ll announce when you are all needed. Now get going!”

Elias wastes no time striking a conversation with Raj. Being a fan of his from seasons prior has him a little starstruck.
“Raj! It's great to meet you! I loved watching you and being here is an actual dream!”
“Oh! Uh.. thank you Elias! Love your accent haha”
“Thank you! I’m from Sweden, I played hockey for 10 years growing up. Explains why I loved you from the start.”
“Played? Why did you stop?”
Elias froze. “Uhhhhh I don’t want to really talk about it… sorry.”
“Oh! That’s fine haha. If you need anything, don't be afraid to come to me!”
“Thank you Raj!”

Bowie and MK are walking together, falling back from the pack to talk and strategize.
“God these teams suckkkkk… I think Chris split up everyone intentionally.” MK wonders.
“I think you are more than capable without Julia, MK… you and her have the same mindset, plus you have me. We need to make sure our alliance remains full at the merge. I'm sure Julia is trying to strike a deal with someone to boost her chances of making it to merge. We should do the same. 3 is a lot better than two,” Bowie strategizes as they see Quinn in the distance. “Bingo…” he says.
Bowie and MK catch up to Quinn and start walking at her pace. MK starts the conversation
“Heya Quinn! Glad to have you on board.”
“Thanks MK! Loved watching you and Julia last season. You two would make a really cute couple!” Quinn answers back with a smile on her face.
“Oh well, I've never really been interested in the whole “dating” thing.” MK says, lying to keep her and Julia’s relationship a secret. “Her and I are still great friends though, as much as she lovessss pissing me off with her influencer life… and how I love pissing her off by stealing her stuff!” She continues pulling out a necklace from her pocket, presumably Julia’s.
“Aw well as long as you guys remain stable! I would love to work with you guys down the road!” Quinn proposes.
“That’s actually why we wanted to talk real quick.” Bowie says, breaking his silence.” MK and I aren’t exactly the biggest fans of the team, and we both know to stick together mainly because our past reputations isn’t exactly the-“
“Strongest?” Quinn finishes. “Yeah I get it, but they shouldn’t fault you for playing a villain game, it's a million bucks! Anything should be on the table.”
“Damn…” Bowie says looking impressed. “You sure know your game Quinn!”
“Yep! But yeah I'd be more than happy working with the two of you down the road.”
“Perfect!”

As everyone settles into their cabins and unpacks, Chris and Chef are watching the interns set up the first challenge. An obstacle course race through the woods.
“I feel like this will be the best season yet, Chef! I can already imagine the ratings!”
“I agree, but remember to keep yourself at bay. The last time you were overly glazing the ratings we went off air for 8 years.”
“That’s not gonna happen! This cast is too good to cancel the show!” Chris says in confidence.
Chef scoffs in doubt. “Whatever you say..”

Julia is browsing through Tik Tok on her bed while waiting for Chris on the loudspeaker. There’s a lot of disaster relief posts from the Massachusetts area, apparently a massive Category 5 hurricane struck the east coast, flooding Boston and surrounding cities, killing thousands of people. Julia scrolls past each one without a care in the world.
“Hey campers! Hope you are all settled in! It’s challenge time!” Chris says on the loudspeaker. “Meet me in the woods in 10 minutes!”
Julia leaves her phone on her bed and walks out the cabin along with everyone else as they all head for the woods. Shortly after an emergency alert pops up on her phone…
