Work Text:

General Lee Outrageous was shocked and horrified by what he just heard, like he had seen a ghost. Technically, he did see a ghost but it was the former self that came from his royal private; Private Party. “You gotta be kidding, man! You gotta be joking, man!” General Lee Outrageous gasped. “I'm sorry, boss. Partying is just not my thing.” Private Party told. “I never really liked to party, but I lied to you about it.” “Why did you lie, Private Party?! Why would you lie to your own boss?” General Lee Outrageous questioned, feeling more upset. “I didn't want to upset or disappoint you, boss. I just wanted you to be happy. But it was the wrong thing to do, and I should've told you sooner.” Private Party confessed. “I guess so! But why must you quit?! We had good times, man!” General Lee Outrageous demanded. “We did had good times, but this career is just... Not for me. I'm no hype-man, I'm just a regular Big City citizen!” “Don't doubt yourself! You're much better than you think!” General Lee Outrageous encouraged. “I'm not doubting myself. I'm just saying who I really am. I maybe good at this job, but it's not what I want to do in life.” Private Party corrected. General Lee Outrageous was about to reply back, but decided to think about what his private was trying to say.

Private Party was one of his friends. He wasn't his best friend, but he was a good friend. He helped him set up parties, he encouraged others to boogie (till' they drop, that is), and was always there when no one else was. However, all good things must come to an end. Private Party never liked this job and didn't want to be the hype-man of a generally outrageous boss, yet he did it just so the boss could be happy and have something to brag about to his cousin. He didn't have to do this; he didn't need to do this; yet he did. He just wanted the best for General Lee Outrageous.

Private Party, you're right... You have done so much for me. Maybe... Just maybe, it's about time for me to return the favor.” General Lee Outrageous sighed. “I'm so sorry for acting the way I did...” “To be honest, I was expecting worse.” Private Party admitted. General Lee Outrageous frowned upon hearing this, “Did I went too far on how I treated you?” “No, boss. I was anxious about what you would say about me quitting after working with you for so long. Don't doubt yourself. You're much better than you think.” Private Party informed. General Lee Outrageous listened to what his hype-man had to say, “A little ironic that you used the same words, that I used to encourage you, to encourage me... What would you do now?” “I don't know, boss. I was thinking about getting a career in golf but considering my... Antagonizing past, I doubt I would be able to convince everyone that was not who I really am. Please don't worry about me, boss. I'll manage to do something.” Private Party told. “I think I can understand, man...” General Lee Outrageous understood. “It was so generous of you for being my hype-man, even if you never enjoyed it. “Don't mention it, boss.” Private Party thanked. “Party, don't call me boss. Call me General Lee.” General Lee Outrageous suggested. “Alright, General Lee.” Private Party smiled.

The two men gave each other a small hug, before they begin to remember all the things that they did and went through together. First meeting each other in the Big City when Private Party initially went there for his surgeries, starting up the Totally Groovy Military Organization, reuniting with their cousins just to make fun of them, and even having an odd night with a certain sheep for a sheep-powered ray-gun. Once the flashbacks were over, the two let go of each other, signaling the end of an era for the organization.

So... I guess this is goodbye, Party.” General Lee Outrageous sighed. “Goodbye for now, that is.” Private Party added. “I might see you again someday.” “Yeah... I wish you good luck with your true self.” General Lee Outrageous told. “I hope it would be just as groovy toovy.” Private Party hoped as he made his way to the organization's obviously large exit. Before he left for what lies beyond, he stopped to say one last thing to his former boss.

General Lee, you will always be an evil party monster, and I will forever remember you for that!”

Notes:

Decided to challenge myself (as well as a means to get rid of my writing block) by giving myself 30 minutes to write a SITBC fan-fic. I was quite happy with the result.

For those who are confused on what I meant by “Private Party initially went there for his surgeries”, here is a quick explanation. I headcanon Private Party to be trans male. He originally went to the Big City just so he could get his transgender surgeries, and had to stay at General Lee Outrageous' apartment as there was no other place that was affordable to him. Once he went through his surgeries, Private Party realized that he liked the Big City and thought General Lee Outrageous was a good friend to hang with, so he decided to stay there. General Lee Outrageous was surprised by this but also believed that Private Party was a good friend and allowed him to live at his apartment. Since then, they grew a bond together and had created the organization, to rival the Secret Military Organization, that started it all.
