Summary
Most in the Heaven’s were prone to gossip, never cared if they were loud about it. They likely knew Mu Qing wouldn’t pick a fight with them at a party like this so they didn’t conceal their volume all that much.
Mu Qing did his upmost to ignore the whispers that had began to get louder he just needed to find one of his partners. With now slightly shaky hands Mu Qing leaned on the wall nursing his drink while his eyes continued to search for Pei Ming or Feng Xin. Finding Pei Ming was unlikely considering he was usually surrounded by other officials while gatherings were still going on. Feng Xin however was always less interested in socializing and always managed to stay by himself or with one of his partners during banquets.

Mu Qing likes to keep up a front of being unaffected by others opinions, which is not how he actually is. This time when things get to much his partners take notice before things get too far out of control.
