Summary
“Daddy, why do they only give us one piece of candy?” she asked the short man, who happened to be her dad.
The man looked at him as if asking the same question himself. Gunwook just looked back at him with a look of apathy, clearly not wanting to deal with the child’s queries or the inevitable disappointment that she would feel when he told her the real reason.
“Well… jellybeans are really precious candies and they’re really hard to make, so the factory can only hand each child with one jellybean each,” the father bullshits his way into answering that question.
“Of course, you’d know that you Oompa Loompa-looking ass,” Gunwook says under his breath.
In which Gunwook is a broke university student who applied to the Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience to have enough money to pay for his rent, and Matthew is a single father who's just trying to have a nice day off work with his daughter.
