Surviving Critter AU
DogDay!
AU HEADCANONS??
1. His sun pendant can light up both in the show and in his bigger body form, but only barely. CatNap's can too, (Not actually) but only if DogDay's pendant lights up first - CatNap's pendant reflects the light from DogDay's (like the moonlight is actually from the sun!)
2. All smiling critters have a 'show variant' voicebox in their body that's connected to the 'speaker'(I think?) in their mouths, and can be activated by pressing a hidden button on their pendant! (Catnap not included.)
3. He has various 'accessories' that match the colours of the rest of the Smiling Critters.
4. When being saved by the player, his right forearm gets ripped off and (probably) eaten by the Plush Smiling Critters, but only the stuffing inside.
5. He has 2 nicknames for the player, 'Angel' and 'Daystar'.

'DogDay says... fetch!'
The cartoon DogDay's voice screeched out from the small speaker behind the button.
...
"Uh huh.."
DogDay shook his head in disappointment as he neared the sign and pointed a finger at it.
"This is what they tried to make me sound like." His head turned towards you for a second, then back to the sign, and raised his one arm in disbelief.
"Can you believe it.!?"
...
"It's crazy when you think about it, Angel."
You pondered in thought for a moment about how that would even work, then nodded in agreement.
Compared to most of the things that happened to the children and Bigger Body Toys in playcare, that was the most tame of all.
DogDay continued to stare at the sign for a few seconds, seemingly thinking about something.
He suddenly whipped around to face you again, slamming the back of his paw into the button on the sign.
'DogDay says... fetch!'

DogDay glared at the sign behind him, and raised a scruffy ear to listen to 'his own' voice better.
"Hm. Let me see if I can replicate that in some way...."
"DOGDAY SAYS: IF YOU SEE SOMEONE WITHOUT A SMILE, GIVE THEM ONE OF YOURS."
...
"Oh. That sounded... weird." His head lowered in shame, not noticing the thumbs up your grab-pack had given him with his large ears covering the majority of his face, and turned back around.
Chapter 3: Off-route.
Summary:
DogDay sees CatNap's sign.
Very short but theres a 50/50 chance i will add a little more

Funfact about DogDay in this au,
He has the soul of one of Theodore's friends- Charles "Charlie" Fernsby.yes i made him up just for sadness, he saw theo as a younger brother.

DogDay stopped in his tracks (that led to nowhere) when he noticed the other sign behind him.'CATNAP'He stared in silence, contemplating, and his ragged tail (that had seemed to be permanently wagging) stilled in an instant.
Whilst DogDay was lost in thought, you took a few steps closer towards the sign. There was some sort of drawing attached, right above the image of CatNap.
...
DogDay hesitantly took a step forward and pressed his paw against the button on the sign.
Bzzz...
Light static came from its speaker.
"Oh.. What happened to him, Angel..."
