In my previous life, I was a rabbit princess.
Where is my destined prince?

Naro Tanaka has had a strange feeling lately. Like there was someone observing him.
He wholeheartedly prayed that it was only his imagination, because he did not need more strange things happening around him.
This was a new stage of his life, so he was trying to have a nice start. He got along with his roommate, even though he was a bit scary at first. He tried to make other friends on that floor and between classes, although it was nerve-wracking. After all, he had been bullied for a long time in highschool, so it was hard to shake off the feeling that the same thing could happen again. However, nobody knew him here, so he had the chance to start anew.
And yet, those eyes staring at him almost everyday reminded him of those times and gave him shivers all over his spine. Just who was looking at him? What was going on?
At first, it only happened sometimes as he walked through the halls. He brushed it off thinking it had to be his imagination, and soon forgot about it. To his surprise, it only got worse over the days, going from an occasional feeling to happening daily. He was sure of it— there was someone observing him.
He didn't think he had made any enemies there, though. Who could it be and for what reason…? A part of him wanted to know, while another silently hoped that it simply stopped without him getting involved in anything.
Unfortunately, it showed no signs of stopping.
''Ahhh…'' He held onto Jiro's jacket tightly, tugging on his arm. ''Do you really not feel anything? Really?''
''I told you I don't… Get off of me already.''
After a lot of insisting and begging from Naro, Jiro had agreed on tagging along with him to see what was happening. If there was actually someone after Naro, of course Jiro would take the matter into hands, but he was skeptical. He knew Naro, and he couldn't help but think that he was simply being paranoid, but he still couldn't say no after seeing him so distressed.
Jiro really couldn't sense anything, though. No eyes on him, no presence. He was sure it was only the two of them in that long hallway, no matter how much Naro said it wasn't like that. It almost pissed him off, and now his interest was picked.
''I'll investigate a bit on my own. I still don't think there's anyone, but… you should be careful around the dorms for a while.''
Naro relaxed a bit with those words, finding Jiro reassuring since he always managed to find a way to fix things. He was rude, but he was a good guy and Naro had seen him solve problems many times, so he decided to trust him with this too.
He went back to their room alone, with Jiro wanting to work alone for a bit, and sat on his bed letting out a sigh. ''I feel so lame…'' Even as a college student, he hadn't really changed. He still couldn't sort out his own problems by himself, and he was as much of a loser as during highschool. If he got bullied again, it would really be over.
All he wanted was to have a peaceful life, make friends and date a cute girl, but life always seemed to have other plans for him. With another loud sigh, he decided to do some gaming to keep his mind busy.

Why wouldn't her prince notice her?
She pouted, head peeking as she hid behind a wall. She had tried so much, everyday she mustered all her courage to go near him in hopes that he'd turn her way! And yet, her prince didn't do as much as look at her… In fact, it seemed like her sole presence bothered him.
Why, oh, why? Would her love forever be unfruitful after all?
''Please, my prince… Look this way!''

For the following week, Jiro tried to help Naro as much as he could. He contacted his friends, telling them not to make a big fuss about it but keeping an eye open and asking people if they knew anything about a stalker in the dorms or anything of the sort. However, there were no results. No one knew anything about any stalkers, and it didn't seem like there was bullying happening exclusively inside the dorms either.
Whatever was going on, it was either extremely well hidden, or it really was Naro's imagination after all. It was frustrating to have zero new information, but he was honest with Naro when they were both in their room, back from their respective classes.
''Are you for real…?'' Naro slumped his head, dejected. He had hoped that maybe Jiro would help him, but it was only him who could feel it after all… And there was no way he'd go back home just over that, it would be humiliating. ''I don't know what to do anymore, it's creepy… Do you think I've been cursed or something?''
''Like curses exist… Get a grip.'' While Naro kept whining, Jiro got ready to go outside again for some shopping. ''Do you need me to get anything?''
''No, thanks…'' His voice was a pitiful mumble, and Jiro couldn't help but feel a bit bad for his friend. He leaned to ruffle his hair and left the room, leaving Naro crouching there. That small gesture made Naro blush a bit, but thankfully, Jiro had already closed the door and was oblivious to that.
He kept thinking about that whole deal while walking, feeling progressively more and more annoyed. There had to be something… There was no way Naro could get mistaken for so long. Was he missing another possibility?
Deep in thought, he almost stepped into something. He quickly moved his foot away and watched the small animal that was running around. ''It's just that rabbit…'' He had seen it a lot lately. At this point, it was somewhat of the dorm's pet, because it refused to leave and always came back to the dorms for some reason.
For some reason, the rabbit got stuck in Jiro's head, and he watched it for a few seconds. It seemed to run in their room's direction. ''Could it be…?''
There was no way Naro was that dumb, right? Jiro simply couldn't rule it out.
''...It's totally possible…''
While Jiro looked at the rabbit with an exhausted expression, Naro was mindlessly playing games on his computer to distract himself. He was losing, which did nothing to improve his mood, and he ended up removing his headphones with an annoyed grunt.
A sudden sound made him nearly jump from his chair with a yelp, before he realized it was just the sound of the door opening. ''N-Nito! You almost gave me a heart attack…'' For some reason, Jiro looked exasperated, and he was holding a white rabbit. Naro tilted his head, confused. ''Where did you get that?''
''It's the dorm's pet. Sorta. This is the responsible.'' Naro still looked confused, which made Jiro be even more certain of his theory. His roommate was really that dumb. ''This was the guy who was following you around. Just now, it wanted to come into the room, too. This was the presence you were feeling.''
''...Huh?''

Her prince was finally looking her way, but what she found in his eyes wasn't love or even affection, just honest confusion. Why? Wasn't she beautiful enough?
There was nothing she could do but watch, and it was so painful.
''My prince… Why?''
But as she watched, she was slowly coming to yet another realization. She was currently being trapped by a mean, mean warlock, and her prince was talking to the warlock, looking at him as if…
''W-W-Whaaaa?!''
Why was her soulmate looking at another guy like that…?!
And so, the Rabbit Princess sobbed, sobbed and sobbed. It seemed like she wouldn't meet her soulmate just yet.
