Work Text:
It been five years since Sydney and Jedidiah got together; But Jedidiah went to make sure that they spend all their life together. "Let's go watch the sunset before the campers come back from eating dinner," suggested Jedidiah. "That's amazing idea my little Jay bird, let's go." Jedidiah gently takes Sydney's hand as hand as Sydney's squeezed back. As they walked out of the nurses office holding hands, counselor Marisol came up to them with a smile with on her face, "going somewhere lovebirds?" "We going watch the sunset while the campers are their dinner, can you tell the other counselor," Jedidiah asks.
"That's sounds good, enjoy your sunset you two," she smiles brighter at them as she walks away. "We will!" Both Jedidiah and Sydney call at her at the same time. Then, take each other's hand and went out of the camp to enjoy each other company and watch the sunset. On their way to the spot to watch the sunset they walked on some uneven ground talking and point out all the animal they see scattering from them walking close to them. Until they got to an clearing was where the sunset could be seen.
They walked up to a spot in the middle of the clearing and sit on the forest ground as the orange yellow sky as glowed in its beauty. They both stare in awe and then the silence broken by Sydney "Wow, the sunset looks even more beautiful without the camp in the way." Jedidiah could only nodded in response to Sydney's observation. Jedidiah mind was racing, what if he rejected him. What if he didn't love him, he was faking for all theses years? Then he looked at Sydney's smile that's all he needed to wash away all his worries; he knew that Sydney loves him with all his heart. With that look he could tell love to marry him and spend the rest of his days with him.
Jedidiah took a breath and broke the silence. "Sydney love of my life; even since we been kids I always was in awe of you because of your ability to work well with everyone, even the people who don't deserve your kindness. Everytime I see you I know that I want to send my life with you." He gets down on one knee and pulls out a box with a ring in it and opens it as Sydney with his mouth wide open in shock. "Sydney October Sargent will you marry me?" "I can't believe this Jedidiah, yes I will marry you! Yes! Yes!" Sydney flaps his hands and jumps up and down. Jedidiah smiles and pulls out the ring and puts it on Sydney's finger; the ring was sliver with ingrained mushrooms on it and with stars on the ring.
"The ring looks amazing and fits me pretty well" Sydney comments as he smiles down at the ring. "Yeah, I knew that you would want something you like and I thought about how you like mushrooms so mushroom ring" Jedidiah rambled. "It's perfect, I love you Jedidiah" " I love you Sydney and the sunset is beautiful," Jedidiah stares at the sky. " But not as beautiful as you." Sydney smiles as Jedidiah and Sydney put they heads on each other shoulders and watch the beauty of nature.
