Leia feels like she's had a million homes since the loss of Alderaan. But every time she found a new one, she'd lost it again. Her parents are dead — Bail and Breha, Anakin and Padmé — Luke and Han are gone, even her son left her. How much more can a Princess without a Kingdom lose? Sacrifice is all she's ever known. And sacrifice is all every Rebel has ever known.
She looks at Poe and sees herself in him. She looks at every rebellion kid she's ever met and sees herself in them, she sees sacrifice in them. Poe, Rey, Finn, Rose, Kaydel — Leia looks at them and smiles because she knows even though she's lost it all, she isn't alone. She misses her family, she misses home, but when she's around her rebellion kids she feels everything is gonna be alright 'cause they're here, they'll always be here for her. Leia looks at Poe and sees herself, she gets motivated to keep fighting.
