Summary
Looking out in the crowd, I can't help but feel a sense of pride watching them all worked up into a frenzy, dancing wildly to my beat. Arms strewn in the air, strobe lights going wild, smoke filling the room creating such an amazing ambience. Nothing feels better than this, the entire room is caught up in the moment, completely at my mercy
I watch closely as I change the track, anticipating the reaction from the crowd. Everything slows down but there's a kind of euphoric feeling, nearly the entire floor has their hands in the air, waiting, just waiting for the beat to kick in and when it does, the dance floor literally erupts into a mass of jumping bodies.
It's then it happens, the defining moment. Among all the jumping bodies I see him, he's just standing there seemingly completely unaware of the chaos going on around him. He's just standing there looking at me, his gaze intense and I don't know why but I just can't look away.
I feel lost, like everything else, everyone else just fades away, lost to background noise.
