I'm Mr Loverman, and I miss my lover, man.
James glanced at Regulus, who was sitting at the Slytherin Table in the Great Hall. He looked paler than usual and a tiny bit sad. What was the love of his life so sad about? “He probably got a stupid letter from stupid Walburga,” James thought bitterly. “It’s a great idea! Tell them, James!” Sirius screeched, pulling him back into reality. “Huh? Oh, yea. It’s a great idea! We should do it,” James agreed. The best way to soothe Sirius and to prevent your ears from getting ripped off by his lectures on why it’s always best to listen to him was to just agree with what he had previously said. “Oh, boy,” Remus sighed before taking a bite out of his chicken. Peter chuckled. James cast one more look to Regulus before starting up a conversation with Marlene.
A paper swan flew elegantly towards James, making him smile softly. He slowly unfolded it to read the message. It said:
Meet me at the Astronomy Tower
R.A.B
James frowned. Why was Regulus being so formal? Normally he would just sign off as Reg. James knew something was up. “Is he going to break up with me?” James asked worriedly. If he was, there were certainly no signs of it. Or maybe, James was just an oblivious fool. He got that a lot. He wiped his sweaty palms on his trousers and left the Gryffindor Common Room without a word. James sneaked from corridor to corridor, hoping he didn’t make any form of noise. Of course, that was impossible for our dear Antler-Boy. He accidentally knocked over a suit of armor, causing it to crash into the cold, hard ground. James flinched at the sound of the metal clanging together. It alerted Filch, who came storming in.
“WHO WAS THAT? REVEAL YOURSELF!” he roared. “I SWEAR TO MERLIN, IF IT’S YOU, PEEVES, I WILL MAKE YOU PAY!” Filch threatened. James swerved behind a wall and into a hidden alcove. He held his breath, silently praying that Filch does not find him. Filch scurries past him without a glance. Once James made sure that he was gone, he let out a sigh of relief.
“Fuck! I’m late.” James swore under his breath. He hurried up to the Astronomy Tower. There, he saw a familiar dark-haired boy. James grinned. “Hey, Reggie!” James wrapped his arms around his shoulder. Regulus pushed them off. “Now’s not the time, James,” he said solemnly. James’ smile faltered. “What do you mean?” he queried.
Regulus took a deep breath before lifting his sleeve. A Dark Mark had been branded on his once naked arm. “I’m so sorry, Jamie. I really am.” Regulus teared up. James’ eyes widened. “W-what? When?” James asked quietly. “Summer break,” Regulus replied.
“It- it’s okay, Reg. We can fix this. Just come to my house. I’ll save you. We’ll save you.” James cried out desperately. “Can’t you see James?! This is unfixable! Nothing, absolutely nothing, can be fixed! I’m sorry, James, but I can’t be saved. Not this time,” Regulus screamed. “Yes, it can! It can be fixed! You can be saved!” James pleaded.
“NO! This is just how it is, James! Can’t you see that? I. Have. No. Choice. I’m sure glasses are meant to make you see better!” Regulus gritted out. James’ heart shattered into a million pieces right there. Anger coursed through his veins.
“EVERYONE HAS A CHOICE REGULUS! YOU’RE JUST TOO MUCH OF A COWARD TO PICK THE RIGHT ONE!” James burst out. Regulus let out a sharp breath. “Don’t ever come near me again, Black.” James spat out before leaving.
Regulus sat there, dropping his head into his hands. He knew that this was the end. Regulus Black knew this was the end and he already missed his lover.

Draco sighed. “Are you okay?” Pansy asked, concern laced in her voice. “Yes, yes. I’m fine.” he waved her off. “If you say so,” Pansy bit her lip. “I said I’m fine!” Draco snapped which caused a few people around them to look at him weirdly. He turned red. Harry watched this little interaction all the way from the Gryffindor Table with a small frown. Draco was usually never this snappy or anti-social. He would normally be seen laughing heartily with Parkinson or Zabini. Come to think of it, he looked paler than usual. Was he feeling okay? Harry pondered about what could possibly be wrong with his blonde-haired boyfriend. “Harry! Stop playing with your food! Eat your dinner!” Hermione chastised. “Alright, Hermione. Geez,” Harry grumbled. Ron dragged him into a conversation about Quidditch. All thoughts about Draco went away in a swift second.
A paper swan flew towards Harry’s table. He picked it up and carefully unfolded it. It read:
Meet me in the abandoned classroom on the 3rd floor after lesson.
D.L.M
Harry turned around subtly (he has the subtlety of a troll) to look at Draco. He smirked and nodded slightly at him. Draco gave him a small smile in return. Ron nudged Harry to pay attention before they got into trouble with Professor McGonagall.
“Uh, guys? I think I forgot my Potions Book back in the dorm. I’ll go get it before Snape murders me,” Harry fake-searched his bag before looking up at his friends. “Do you want us to come with you, Harry?” Hermione asked. “No, it’s alright. Thanks though,” Harry declined her offer. They nodded at him and proceeded to leave. Harry walked in the opposite direction until he was certain his best friends had completely gone away. Then, he ran up the stairs to the 3rd floor where the abandoned classroom was.
“Draco!” Harry grinned once he spotted the blonde. “Harry,” he smiled. “What’s up?” Harry questioned. “Why do I need a reason to see my boyfriend? What if I just miss him, huh?” Draco raised his eyebrow. Harry blushed. “N-no of course not,” he stuttered. “C’mere, you,” Draco gestured towards a table. Harry joined another table so that they both could sit. Once they were comfortable, Draco said, “Now, talk.” “Talk about what?” Harry asked. “Anything. Everything. Just talk,” Draco shrugged. Harry nodded and began rambling about how his lessons went, Quidditch (obviously), his friends and his plans for the winter break. Even though Draco was not really listening and just staring into Harry’s emerald eyes, he nodded every now and then. “Merlin, I’m so lucky to have him,” Draco thought to himself. His heart grew blue knowing that it would only last for so long. Draco and Harry, they were not meant forever. And Draco knew that.
After dinner, Draco signaled to Harry to go to the Astronomy Tower just like they had planned. When Harry had told his friends that he was heading to bed early, Ron groaned. “C’mon mate! We barely got to hang out today!” he complained. Harry simply chuckled and left Ron there to listen to Hermione lecture him about how it was important to complete your homework. Ron sat there, crossing his arms and huffing.
Harry scurried up the stairs all the way to the top. He saw no one there, so he sat on the edge to gaze up at the stars. Draco had taught him all about constellations. He tried to see if Orion could be found around this time of the year. He knew that Sirius was the brightest star in that constellation. It reminded him of his god father. Harry smiled sadly at the thought of Sirius. He missed him a lot these days. He heard someone clearing their throat and turned around to see who it was. Harry grinned broadly at his boyfriend.
“Potter,” Draco said solemnly. Harry furrowed his eyebrows. “What’s wrong? You never call me Potter. At least, not anymore,” he queried with a confused look.” “Don’t be silly. I always have and will call you Potter. Nothing has changed.” Draco laughed cruelly. Harry’s jaw dropped. What was he going on about? Just a few hours ago, he was being so sweet and now, suddenly, he was acting as if the past 5 months had never happened. “Huh?” Harry said dumbly. “I always knew you were daft, Potter. But I never thought you were that stupid. You can’t even comprehend words.” he sneered. “Why are you doing this? Did I do something wrong?” Harry stepped forward to reach out for the blonde’s hand. Draco shuddered and snarled, “Don’t ever touch me, you vile half-blood.”
Something dawned upon Harry. (That’s a surprise) “Draco, show me your arm,” Harry demanded. “Why should I? I have nothing on it,” Draco retorted. “If you have nothing to hide, you will show me your arm.” Harry said firmly. “BUT I HAVE NOTHING ON MY ARM! WHAT PART OF IT—” Harry cut him off by yanking his sleeve up. The Dark Mark laid on his pale skin. Harry’s heart felt like it was being ripped apart and thrown into a gutter. Tears welled up in the raven-haired boy’s eyes. “How could you? HOW COULD YOU?!” Harry screamed with tears rolling down his cheeks. “I guess they were all right. You were a death eater in training. I should’ve known. You’re nothing but a liar.” he laughed bitterly before wiping his snot. “Goodbye, Malfoy,” Harry spat out. He stormed out. Once Draco could not hear anymore footsteps, he slouched down in defeat and burst into tears. This was it. This was the end. No more kisses, cuddles and most importantly, no more love. The love he and Harry had could never be replaced or imitated. And now, it was gone. Forever. Maybe in another universe, they were together for eternity. But just not in this one.
It was only the start of the end and Draco Malfoy missed his lover.

Albus chewed on his fingernails. Was he okay? Were they okay? Thoughts swirled in the boy’s mind. “Al, stop biting your nails. I’m sure you’ll be fine. He loves you a lot you know.” Lily chastised. “Yeah, your little lover adores you. It’s like you’re the only thing in the room when you’re around him,” James chimed in. Albus rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah,” Albus mumbled. “Get some sleep, Albus. You woke up quite early today. And I knew you didn’t sleep at night. Do not lie to me,” Lily narrowed her eyes when Albus opened his mouth to deny her claim. He sighed, fully knowing that it was useless to argue with his little sister. She was always right anyway. Albus slowly drifted off to sleep, his last thought about Scorpius.
The Potter siblings departed from the Hogwarts Express. Albus craned his neck, trying to find the sixteen-year-old blonde. He could not be found anymore. Albus gave up and went with his siblings to Hogwarts. Albus waved goodbye to them once they entered the Great Hall. He sat at the Slytherin Table with a tired look. He hoped that Scorpius wasn’t so mad that he would not sit with him. A few moments later, someone sat next to him and nudged him. “Go away,” he grumbled. “Oh, so you want me to go?” a familiar voice said. Albus whipped his head around. “Scorpius! You’re here!” Albus shrieked in delight. “Where else would I be?” Scorpius questioned.
“I-I just thought you—”
“We’ll talk about it later, okay? The Sorting is about to start.” Scorpius whispered. Albus nodded and they turned towards Headmistress McGonagall, who was about to give a speech.
Throughout dinner, the couple made small talk. “So, what did you do during summer break?” Al asked through a mouthful of potatoes. Scorpius’ eyes shone as he explained how he helped his father fix their garden, how he played Quidditch with the Zabini twins and their other pureblood friends and how he and his father went out to Muggle London to explore. Albus listened attentively, nodding every now and then. He was happy that Scorpius was feeling comfortable with him. “Did you know that Cleo Parkinson is dating Matt Nott? That was so unexpected!” Scorpius gossiped. “Yeah. But then again, they were getting more closer since February, so I guess it was meant to happen.” Albus reasoned. “Wait till they break up after 3 weeks,” Scorpius snorted. Albus laughed. It felt nice to talk to him like this. To be with him like this. “Let’s go. Dinner is over,” Scorpius drags Albus out of the Great Hall.
Out of his peripheral vision, Albus spots James and Teddy giving him a thumbs up. He rolled his eyes. James must have told his boyfriend. “That little shit,” Albus thought in his head. “Where do you want to go, Scorp?” he asked. “Astronomy Tower?” Scorpius suggested. Albus nodded in agreement and they both make their way to the tower.
“Soo, what’s up?” Albus questioned once they were comfortably seated on the edge. “Nothing much,” Scorpius hummed, looking up at the stars. They sat in silence for a while. Albus could not handle it anymore. The silence made his skin crawl. “Ok, so, Scorp, I’m really, really, sor—” Scorpius cuts him off by pressing his lips to Albus’. It shocks Albus at first, but soon, he melts into it. They break apart, smiling at each other slightly.
“I know, Al. I thought it through during summer break after reading your letter. It wasn’t your fault. Adrien is just a dick.” Scorpius said. Albus exhales in relief. “Thank god,” he whispers. He was frightened when Scorpius did not write back when he owled him his apology letter. Stupid Adrien just had to kiss him in front of Scorpius even though he knew they were dating. That prick. He remembered the look on Scorpius’ face when he saw them. It shattered his heart. Scorpius had looked so fragile and hurt. It was like throwing rocks at a calm ocean. Making tons of ripples. Albus threw himself at his boyfriend. (Now that he was sure they were still together.) “I missed you so much,” Albus burrowed his head into Scorpius’ blonde hair. Scorpius wrapped his arms around the raven’s torso. “I missed you too,” he replied gently. They shared another kiss.
The moon watched their exchange. She saw them laughing, talking, cuddling and being totally in love with each other. Like they were the only ones in this world. Maybe to them, they were.
I'm Mr Loverman. Oh, and my lover's right here.
