Being in a polyamorous relationship with Varian and Hugo would include:
-You and Varian had been childhood friends. Dated on and off throughout his teen years, but it was always amicable.
-So of course you went with him as moral support when he discovered his mother’s old journals and set out to finish her work.
-And then you met Hugo. At first, you didn’t like him, since he acted arrogant and teased Varian over his insecurities.
-But he grew on you. Grew on both of you.
-You started to really like Hugo. And you felt horrible for that. Varian was your boyfriend. And you were happy with him. So why did you find yourself wishing for Hugo, too?
-Varian was going through the same thing.
-And Hugo was interested in the both of you.
-Eventually, Varian opened up to you about how he felt. He felt guilty for dating you, and thinking about Hugo romantically.
-You were pleasantly surprised, since you were attracted to Hugo as well. You told Varian this, and he was taken aback.
-He wasn’t mad or anything, just surprised. At first he was a little jealous, although he knew he really didn’t have a reason to be. But he came around and accepted the fact that you were both attracted to the annoying thief boy.
-After the quest, you and Varian forgave Hugo for the betrayal, and both told him how you felt.
-He started laughing. Not because he was making fun of you like usual, but because, what are the odds that all three of you felt the same way?
-Hugo was the one to suggest a polyamorous relationship.
-Varian didn’t know what that meant, so you had to explain it to him.
-You all took time to think about it, and agreed that you were willing to give it a try once you made it back to Corona.
-Varian was terrified of coming out as bisexual and telling his dad about the polyamorous relationship, but you and Hugo promised to support him no matter what happened.
-Quirin was surprised, but accepting. Varian was his only son, and he loved him no matter what his choices were.
-Rapunzel, Eugene, Cassandra, Lance, Keira and Catalina were all accepting as well, despite not fully understanding it at first.
-You, Varian and Hugo moved in together.
-Varian was gentle, awkward and romantic, whereas Hugo was more flirtatious and teasing.
-You loved both of them equally, though.
-You especially loved the cuddle sessions.
-Varian was sensitive to kisses on the neck. Do it once and he’s like putty in your hands.
-You and Hugo definitely take advantage of that, in a nice way, of course.
-You’re all switches, but Hugo likes to be more dominant, whereas you and Varian were more the submissive type.
-Hugo felt good when he took care of you and Varian. It didn’t matter if it was being a shoulder to cry on, or bringing you coffee in the morning, he was proud to help you and be your boyfriend.
-Varian tried his best to do the same, but he would get nervous that he was doing something wrong, and he’d freeze up.
-You also took good care of your boys.
-Hugo lets you braid his hair, despite kind of hating it.
-Varian lets you help with his experiments, just as long as you don’t touch anything you’re not supposed to, and wear goggles to protect those pretty eyes of yours.
-All three animal sidekicks bicker and fight all the time.
-You love watching Varian and Hugo being affectionate. It just makes you so happy.
-All three of you have gone through trauma, and you help each other through panic attacks.
-They treat you like royalty when you’re on your period.
-Pain killers, a hot water bottle, supplies, your favorite tea. They go over the top, but you love it.
-You are all very conscious of the fact that jealousy is common in poly-romantic relationships, so you all try really hard to make everything equal.
-Sure, some people judge you, there will always be people that are bigots.
-You three just don’t let it bother you.
-You’re all happy and love each other, what does it matter if it’s not the usual way of doing relationships?
-You all make sure to tell eachother “I love you” every night before bed. It’s kind of adorable.
-Makes sense, since you’re all so cute together.
