Summary
Anya is an orphan, having lost both parents in a horrific car accident. Her only living relative is her father's twenty year old cousin Brandon, who lives in the US. He takes her in, saving her from the care system and giving her a home.
Brandon's best friend is a tall blond called Thranduil, who helps the scared little girl find her feet and her confidence. Feeling a natural trust and pull towards him, Anya goes to him in times of need. Years pass, and the bond between them only strengthens.
Anya leaves the US for a few years as a teenager to study and sort some of her demons, but returns as a beautiful, radiant woman. Thranduil realises his instant attraction to her, and struggles to hide it. She discovers new emotions and feelings emerging and the battle to work through them, particularly as her guardian controls every aspect of her life. Fate steps in and opens the gates to a heartfelt love between the couple, but other factors are at work and go all out to destroy the fairy tale.
