Summary
From the moment Alastor reappeared, Lucifer recognized that he was suffering from an angelic wound. When he offers help to fix it, though, Alastor refuses. In fact, it seems like’s he’s fully intent on dying mad about it because he’s too stubborn to ask for help.
Alright, that’s fine; see if Lucifer cares. Because he doesn’t. He’s having plenty of fun talking shit with Husk behind Alastor’s back and bonding with Niffty while the Radio Demon is off doing whatever Alastors do when they’re desperately trying to salvage their own mortality.
Things change when Lucifer realizes that Alastor’s declining health has consequences for those he’s tied to. Alastor is insistent that he’s got everything under control even when everything he has, including those he keeps closest to his chest, starts falling apart around him.
Unfortunately, Lucifer might have to be the one to fix this mess, even when it seems like Alastor’s refusal to be healed is more than just prideful stubbornness.
