   Summary

   He still has nightmares of the sound of too-high heels on the causeway of the Victors village, even if no-one ever wore heels there, not after Dancer, because Annie's image was one of an innocent cute girl, not one of an it-girl.

   Maybe that's why he fell In love with Annie, first slowly and then all together.

   Maybe that's why he fell in love with Annie, because even coming from the same district, even with the both of them being  Careers, even with the both of them being survivors, she never became like Dancer (Dancer who was a trooper, who protected anyone slightly pathetic who come her way, who covered her pain behind her make-up and her morphling-induced smiles and who couldn't be more different from mental-unstable Annie, whose problems and pains were in the open for everyone to see) and looking at her didn't break his heart.

   Maybe he fell In love with Annie because she never even met Dancer and she could never tell how much of him was actually just the mirror image of who his sister was for him.
