    Sanji had said it first.

    At the time, Zoro had thought, 'Yeah, good riddance.'

    He’d watched Sanji walk away, shoulders heaving from the most heated shouting match they’d ever had, and he hadn’t regretted anything. Even as the days melted into weeks leading up to their arrival on Sabaody, he hadn’t regretted saying what he said. It’d taken him a long time to even think up the possibility that he could’ve said anything else, that he could’ve caught Sanji by the wrist and said, ‘Sorry, I didn’t mean that. Don’t go.’

    And once he’d realized that, he knew there would’ve been a 99.9% chance that Sanji would’ve turned around and said ‘Sorry’ too. It would’ve been so simple. Hindsight truly was 20/20.
