"White Lily Cookie? Are you in there?" Pure Vanilla knocked on White Lily's closed door.
There was a slight pause, before a soft and quiet voice answered from inside the room, "Come in."
Pure Vanilla opened the door to see a very distressed White Lily Cookie pacing around. Lily petals are stuck in her shuffled hair, papers and books scattered all over the floor. White Lily stopped pacing and turned to look at Pure Vanilla.
"Am I really the right one to guard the Silver Tree's Seal?" she asked, clenching onto her lily staff.
Pure Vanilla tried to think for a truthful answer. He replied, "No, but if Elder Faerie really passed his guardian duty to you, then you must be the right one."
Pure Vanilla carefully closed the door behind his back and walked towards White Lily Cookie, careful not to step on any of the papers nor books.
"What's wrong?" he asked White Lily.
White Lily seemed to not hear his question, as she began to look around for something. Her grip on the lily staff still not loosening. Pure Vanilla tries to understand why she was so stressed out.
"Are you... worried about Dark Enchantress Cookie?" he asked, offering to carry a small stack of books White Lily was picking up from the ground.
White Lily slowly nodded, "And... my new job."
Pure Vanilla understood. Being a guardian for a tree that contains a Beast Cookie in it is no small matter, neither is knowing that you are only half a cookie so far... Knowing that the evil force can take over you at any second can be very discomforting.
White Lily Cookie sighed. "I miss Elder Faerie Cookie, I hope he's doing well... where ever he is."
Pure Vanilla didn't know how to respond, except for a small "mhm". He wants to support White Lily Cookie as much as he could, but he can't find anything that he can help with. He can't relate to anything that White Lily is feeling. He could try giving her a small conversation, but that's it. He took a deep breath.
"Listen... I know it's hard to acknowledge the situation you're in, but you have to keep on persevering. Your friends, I, and the Faeries all count on you. We all will aid you with any trouble that you need to solve. Just, please, don't doubt yourself. If you really try, you'll succeed."
White Lily paused and stood up to look at Pure Vanilla. A tear droplet was forming in her eye as she nodded gracefully. Her grip on the lily staff softened and a smile slowly formed on her face. Pure Vanilla smiled, looking at White Lily Cookie with content. His small talk really did help White Lily reassure herself.
White Lily quickly hugged Pure Vanilla as a way to say thanks. Pure Vanilla turned a slight shade of red and turned away for a second to calm down. White Lily quietly giggled as Pure Vanilla started rubbing his face to prevent blushing. A knock then sounded at the door, followed by a peaceful voice and ringing silver bells. Silverbell Cookie.
White Lily walked over to open the door. Silverbell bowed with respect and said, "Your majesty, the Faeries have discovered a new type of yeast spore just east of here. They brought a sample and we would like you to examine it with us."
White Lily Cookie looked back at Pure Vanilla, who was giving her a thumbs up.
White Lily looked back at Silverbell, who looked really eager to study the yeast spore sample too.
"You two can go first. I'll catch up later." Pure Vanilla said.
White Lily looked back with a smile and walked away with Silverbell.
Pure Vanilla Cookie looked around White Lily Cookie's room. He suddenly remembered something and reached inside his pocket. He pulled out a fortune cookie note and beamed.
"This fortune cookie turned out to be correct..." he chuckled.
He then left the room with the fortune cookie note drifting onto the ground.
The small font read: "You shall make your love remember who they are."
