Work Text:
Eunho, Noah, and Yejun were in the middle of one of their live shows. Yejun was singing while the other two were listening in. They just finished their second segment - brainstorming for their next song, wanting to give the fans a little bit more behind the curtain on how they work not only for their art, but how they work together.
Noah looked at him. Yejun. They never officially declared anything yet. It didn’t bother him - he didn’t know where they stood either. Over the past month they bonded in more ways than one. Closer not only where they were with their relationship, but physically too.
That dream really did come true.
Noah snapped out of it. He was staring now. Noah looked at the chat box. Comments flowed quickly, but he noticed a couple.
The princess is mystified by the dolphin.
Noah, look at me like you look at Yejun.
Shit , Noah swore in his head. It was too noticeable. He clapped when it was over. Noah sang his song and in turn watched Eunho showcase his rap skills. He looked at the staff - he didn’t hear any angry clearing of the throat so he assumed he didn’t do anything wrong.
The three of them were changing out of their suits.
“So, the song - can we use that on the next album? Maybe develop it into something more. What we came up with at least with the chorus. I think we can work with the hired producer? Some beats?” Eunho asked.
“You’re really excited about this song, huh?” Yejun smiled. “I like it too. We can definitely reinforce it. Make it stronger. Noah?”
“I agree with Yejun. Eunho, you did good,” Noah smiled.
“Thanks, hyungs,” Eunho smiled. Beamed. “What are you doing Thursday?”
They had a date.
“Nothing, right Noah?” Yejun asked.
They no longer had a date.
“What are you thinking?”
“Let’s hop on this quickly before we lose momentum on the song,” Noah mentioned.
“I agree,” Yejun placed his hand monitor into the lockbox. “How about Thursday at 9?”
“It’s scheduled.”
Yejun woke up in tousled sheets being held by Noah. Sharing a bed was very new. This was maybe their second time, and first time after not wanting to sleep on the couch after a long day. They found each other, the first time, in the morning, originally facing front, their breath touching each other’s faces, and sound asleep. It felt like the most normal thing in the world.
Yejun was warm, comfortably warm. Noah’s left arm was under Yejun’s neck and his right draped over his chest. Yejun loved Noah’s body. Not because it was chiseled, no. Okay, Yejun admitted to himself that part of it was because he was so toned. But, the other part was because he carried himself so softly. He turned around, slowly placing Noah’s arm back on his body. Yejun saw Noah’s long hair cover his face, so he took it upon himself to push it behind his ear. Carefully Yejun got out of bed, trying not to move the bed so much. Noah shifted underneath the covers, and Yejun hoped he didn’t disturb him. He grabbed Noah’s pants - a little big, he had to admit, but it was nice sharing clothes. It made him feel close.
He padded to the kitchen and made himself something to drink to wake himself up a bit, and put on the morning news. It was only 7:30 in the morning, and usually Noah didn’t wake up early. The earliest he woke up was around 9, so he had some time to make breakfast. It was only right.
By the time of his second cup, time flew to half past 8. It was nice to spend some time alone in Noah’s place. It made him feel welcomed. He heard the bedroom door open.
“I hear the news,” Noah groggily walked out of the room. “Is there any coffee?”
“Good morning sleepy head. I can make you some,” Yejun got up from the couch. “You know you’re really comfortable to sleep with. Almost like a weighted blanket. Cozy.”
“You’re like a hot water bottle, I didn’t even need mine.”
“I guess we pair up nicely then,” Yejun smiled. “So coffee?” He walked to the kitchen and leaned on the countertop. “Wait. I have absolutely no idea how to work that monster of a thing. Where did you even get that? You see that in cafes.”
“Sometimes I treat myself to fancy coffee,” Noah shrugged.
“You’re so extravagant,” Yejun leaned forward.
“When am I not?” Noah smiled and closed the distance between them. He loved kissing Yejun. There was something about it, he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. It felt like the first time, every time. Exciting, refreshing…new.
“Hyungs?” Eunho said.
Noah and Yejun broke apart abruptly, which caused Yejun to hit the dining table on his back.
“What’s going on here?” Eunho said.
“Nothing, absolutely nothing,” Noah said, not helping the situation.
“Were…were you two making out?” Eunho put his notebooks to the side table.
Yejun looked at Noah, and pinched the bridge of his nose. “How did you get in?”
“I may have texted him my passcode to get in,” Noah admitted. “Look, I trust him, I trust all of you.”
“I saw Yejun’s car in the garage, I assumed you just got here early. Wait, are those Noah’s pants?” Eunho kept asking questions.
“How do you know what my pants look like?”
“You wear them to workout like every day. Those are your workout pants.”
“Do you even wash these? Did I pick up dirty sweats?” Yejun asked.
“How did we end up talking about this? There are pressing matters more than that, you decided to wear my dirty workout pants instead of your own clothes.”
“Starchy khakis are not a good pair to watch the news at seven-thirty in the morning. That is just basic knowledge,” Yejun countered.
“Okay, can we just take a moment. Maybe put some clothes on?” Eunho asked. Noah and Yejun realized they were half naked.
“Yep, yes,” Yejun walked to the bedroom door. “Five minutes.”
“I’ll wait for him to change,” Noah rubbed the back of his neck, and got back to making coffee, trying to have the morning regain some sense of normalcy. “Sit down wherever, I think that we’re going to have to explain a couple of things. In the meantime, do you want a latte?”
The three of them gathered in Noah’s living room. Eunho was across from Noah and Yejun, with his notebook in his lap. “Did you bring your piano?”
“I might have forgotten it,” Yejun admitted. “I thought it was at 9 at night, today’s session.”
“I have my guitar, we can use that. You have your drum pad, Yejun you don’t leave anywhere without your lyric book -” Noah said.
“In my back pocket.”
“..and we have the live to see where we left off! So we’re good, no need to talk about anything else, let’s get started,” Noah clapped.
“What I want to talk about is you two kissing,” Eunho said leaning back in his chair.
“Oh yeah, that funny little thing,” Yejun cleared his throat.
“It’s not what you think it is, it’s really nothing -” Noah started.
“Nothing?” both Eunho and Yejun said at the same time.
“You were making out, quite deeply if I may ask for it to be nothing,” Eunho shifted in his seat. “How long…?”
“A month, month and a half?” Yejun replied.
“Look, Eunho, if you have a problem with this…this relationship -” Noah sighed.
“A problem?” Eunho furrowed his eyebrows. “I don’t have a problem, I’m just surprised. You don’t expect to walk in on your friends making out with each other.”
“Wait, I thought you -” Yejun stopped.
“Yejun, you look at him like he’s your star. It’s not shocking, and Noah. You were so painfully obvious during the live. I’m more worried about what the manager will say.”
“That obvious?”
“Incredibly. At least to me.”
“Does this change anything?” Yejun chewed the bottom of his lip.
“Definitely changes the dynamic,” Eunho put a hand through his two toned hair. “But, in reality, no it doesn’t change anything between us.”
“Worried me for a second. Thought we were going to have a falling out, so quickly.”
“No, never,” Eunho smiled. “I do have a question though, which place at VLAST is the best place to make out?” he laughed.
“Nowhere-” Yejun started.
“The practice room,” Noah finished.
“So, where do we go from here?” Yejun scratched his neck. “Can’t really hide the secret.”
“Everything is safe with me. I promise. No fans, nothing. Even Bamby hyung won’t get it out of me,” Eunho prided himself.
“I’ll hold you to it.”
“Good,” Noah smiled, like a weight was lifted off of his shoulders. “Shall we make music then?”
