"There's a boardwalk down by Venice with a midway and all sorts of arcade games," Alex explained. "Ryan and I hang there sometimes, I think you'd love it."
Dallon swallowed. He wanted to say yes, but then again, how could he?
"I wouldn't want to intrude on..."
He glanced between the two of them, realizing at that moment that he wasn't entirely sure what was between them. Boyfriends seemed trivial. Partners, too extreme. Lovers was too poetic.
"No, I promise, you're not," Alex cooed, wrapping one arm around his waist. It was almost imperceptible how he angled his body toward Dallon's, tilting his chin up, till they were only a breath apart.
Dallon blinked, unable to form any coherent thoughts that could lend themselves to words.
