The hybrid silently opened his eyes, rising out of his bed gracefully. He sighed, looking around his room silently. His mind settled in its fluffy feeling , desperately wanting to latch onto someone right now. He immediately stood up from his bed, walking out of his room and looking around the house for someone to cuddle.
When he found no such sign of anyone around, he felt tears silently well up in his eyes. He sat on the floor of their living room with his legs sticking out, tears falling from his eyes as he cried loudly.
He was so caught up in his own crying, he didn’t hear his Yeonjun-hyung walk through the door tiredly. The older immediately softened, setting his bag down before running to comfort the little hybrid.
“Ahhh, did my Beomie come out? It’s okay Beomie~ hyungie’s here now~” Yeonjun comforted his little, hugging him tightly and picking him up. The little quickly settled in his arms, tears drying in his eyes as Yeonjun swiped under his eyes.
“Aigoo…were you scared because no one was here? I’m sorry baby, everyone went to work. Don’t worry… hyungie’s here now. Hyungie will take care of you.” Yeonjun patted the hybrid’s soft hair, soft tone in his voice as he walked over to their kitchen table, lifting the cover off of Beomgyu’s breakfast, silently gauging if he ate. Seeing as all of the dishes had remained untouched, he easily concluded he didn’t eat.
“Here, baby…let’s eat breakfast first before anything.” He set the hybrid down in his chair, before sitting in the chair next to him and smiling at the hybrid. The hybrid stared at him silently with big eyes, indicating he was in a mindset younger than one year. Yeonjun’s smile softened, picking up his plate of fried eggs and cutting them in half, then into quarters. He fed the piece to Beomgyu, instructing him to open his mouth by saying ahhh, the hybrid following his instruction perfectly.
When they finished Beomgyu’s breakfast, Yeonjun carried him to his playroom next to Beomgyu’s studio. Yeonjun conveyed to his other boyfriends that it might be a good idea to make one of their extra storage rooms into a playroom for Beomgyu after seeing Jaemin with one in his house. One week of remodeling later, and it was finally ready to be used.
He set the hybrid down, before pulling out a laser pointer, smiling somewhat mischievously. He pointed the laser pointer around the room, Beomgyu jumping from one spot to the next in the hopes of catching it. Yeonjun pulled out his phone, snickering to himself before opening the camera app and clicking record. He giggled softly as he recorded the video, taking in Beomgyu’s heightened cat-like state as he played around with the laser pointer. Beomgyu pounced toward him, grabbing the laser pointer with his hands as Yeonjun flinched back, yelping in response. He played with the keychain at the end of the laser pointer as Yeonjun finished the video and grabbed the laser pointer from his grasp once more. While Yeonjun loved that Beomgyu was in touch with his more natural hybrid instincts more when he was regressed, he didn’t want to have him choke on it.
After a while of playing together, the hybrid looked like he was going to fall asleep, so Yeonjun carried him up to their master bedroom with a soft smile on his face, laying the boy down in their bed before tucking him in and softly cradling his hair. The hybrid soon fell asleep peacefully, Yeonjun still curling the ends of his bangs with his fingers.
“Good night, Beomie.” He whispered, kissing the hybrid on the forehead before snuggling in next to him.

Beomgyu felt himself slipping again. At this moment, they were all sitting around their kitchen table, eating their dinner together, like the family they were. Beomgyu slowly chewed his bulgogi, before swallowing, and looking down at his bowl thoughtfully. He felt… strange. He had never been this lucid when he had slipped into littlespace before. It weirded him out. He didn’t know what to think of it. He set his chopsticks down, continuing to stare at his bowl silently as the others talked. They all felt far away, despite them being right next to him.
“Beom? You okay?” Yeonjun noticed the hybrid fall silent first, waving his hand over the boy’s vision. Beomgyu just continued to sit there quietly.
The others halted their conversations, looking at each other worriedly before looking at Beomgyu.
The hybrid stood up from his seat, his chair making a harsh sliding sound on their hardwood floors that made the rest of the boys wince. He walked to his studio silently, making the boys silently furrow their eyebrows, wondering if they should follow him or not.
Once in his studio, he sat down in the farthest corner of the room, bringing his legs up to his chest and burying his head silently. He just felt the need to be alone all of a sudden. He sighed out, silent tears springing to his eyes as his body relaxed. He groaned from the back of his throat, the urge to hug his mom suddenly overwhelming the hybrid.
Soobin fought the urge to run over to Beomgyu’s studio and grab the hybrid. The voice in his subconscious was screaming to go and comfort Beomgyu!! Hurry!!! So, when Beomgyu entered their presence once more of his own volition and latched on to Soobin, the older of the two immediately hugged Beomgyu’s waist. The hybrid sniffled against his head, Soobin immediately comforting the hybrid by patting the back of his head as softly as he could.
“Eomma…” Beomgyu whispered against his head, tears falling from his eyes.
Soobin’s eyes silently widened. He looked at the rest of his boyfriend’s silently, the others adorning wide eyes as well. Beomgyu sniffled against Soobin’s head once more. The older flinched, grip tightening on Beomgyu ever so slightly.
“Eomma…I’m tired…” Beomgyu spoke in a pout, an unusual tone in his voice as he hadn’t talked like this before.
“Ah…I see. Um…do you think you can finish your dinner for me though, Beomie? Then we can take a nap. I promise.” Soobin spoke cautiously, eyes still wide as he rubbed his hand down Beomgyu’s back.
The hybrid sighed out, shoulders slightly relaxing.
“Or…do you want eomma to feed you? Does that sound okay, Beomie?” Soobin questioned next, overly sweet tone in his voice.
The hybrid nodded silently, albeit hesitatingly.
“Okay. Thank you baby. Here, say ‘ahhh.’” Soobin picked up his fork and stabbed the bulgogi with it, the hybrid opening his mouth as he moved away from Soobin’s shoulder.
Once Beomgyu finished his dinner, Soobin nodded to his other boyfriends silently, before picking Beomgyu back up and heading upstairs to tuck the young hybrid into his bed. Once he did so, he smiled softly, kissing him on the forehead as the hybrid began to silently drift off to sleep. Soobin softly sang a lullaby to the hybrid as he curled his fingers through the ends of Beomgyu’s hair, a smile on his face.
“Eomma…” Beomgyu whispered, eyes closed and breathing even.
“Mm? My sweet baby…” The older cooed, rubbing his temple softly.
“Stay…” Beomgyu’s hand grasped Soobin’s, the other instantly intertwining their fingers.
“Of course. Eomma’s not going anywhere…” He rubbed Beomgyu’s thumb softly, the warmest smile on his face. Beomgyu breathed out, soon falling asleep under Soobin’s careful watch.
From that day on, Beomgyu would call Soobin ‘eomma’ whenever he fell into littlespace.

When Taehyun came home from work, he was surprised to see no one greeting him. Even if Beomgyu was busy, he would always make it a point to greet the younger with a kiss on the lips when he came home every day. So, he set his bag down on their kitchen table, walking around the house with a slight pout in his lips.
“Beomgyu-hyung?” He called out to the hybrid, walking around their downstairs somewhat suspiciously.
When he noticed the door to Beomgyu’s playroom was cracked open, he walked forward confusedly, before his eyes silently widened and he connected the dots.
There Beomgyu sat with a pacifier in his mouth, eyes big and innocent expression on his face.
“Ahh…Beomie! Hi baby!” Taehyun instantly lit up, holding his arms out to the little hybrid as he smiled widely. The hybrid smiled from underneath his pacifier, the plastic bit falling out of his mouth as he laughed loudly. Luckily, it was connected to a pacifier clip, so it fell to Beomgyu’s chest silently. Taehyun instantly sat down next to the hybrid, playing with his toys to entertain the hybrid.
After a while of playing, it was becoming obvious to Taehyun that Beomgyu was slipping into an older mindset, older than a toddler, but not quite his normal age either.
“Hyung…I’m hungryyyyy!” Beomgyu latched onto Taehyun’s arm with a cute expression, a slight pout in his lips. Taehyun was silently endeared by it, kissing the hybrid on the temple softly before rubbing his head softly.
“Then we better get something to eat! Come on, let’s see what we have in the kitchen.” Taehyun stood up, helping the hybrid up from the floor. Beomgyu ran to the kitchen with a smile on his face, Taehyun fondly smiling at the hybrid’s eagerness for a simple snack.
“Ah, Beomgyu, no going up on the counters! Come on, sit down. Hyung will get a snack for you.” Taehyun disciplined the little, pointing his finger at him with a serious face as the latter began getting on top of their counter. Beomgyu silently flinched, leaving the counter and looking at Taehyun nervously. Taehyun instantly noticed this, slightly sighing to himself before laying his hand on Beomgyu’s cheek tenderly.
“I’m sorry. I’m not mad, Gyu. I just got scared for a minute. I didn’t want you to go up there and hurt yourself. Okay? I promise I’m not mad at you, baby. I could never be. Truly.” Taehyun rubbed his thumb against Beomgyu’s cheek as he spoke, a tender and soft expression on his face as he communicated with the boy.
The hybrid hesitatingly nodded, biting his bottom lip as his eyes filled with silent tears. Taehyun wiped them away as they fell from his eyes, a heartbroken expression on his face.
“I’m sorry, baby. I’m so sorry. That must’ve been scary, huh? Hyungie’s sorry. Do you forgive me?” Taehyun kissed the tears falling on Beomgyu’s cheeks away, the hybrid lightly giggling.
“Of course I forgive you, hyungie.” Beomgyu smiled innocently, tears long gone by now. Taehyun silently hugged him, the hybrid hugging him back with a warm smile on his face.

Kai was ready to sleep. He was coming home after a late night session in the studio; he only intended for it to go for two hours or so, but somehow it ended up turning into seven hours, and it was now 2:34 am. He sighed out, slipping off his shoes and walking upstairs. In his haze of exhaustedness, he didn’t notice the light on in Beomgyu’s studio.
The older was still working on one of his many commissions for that week, and was on the brink of falling asleep standing. He dazedly grabbed his painting knife, wanting to add another layer to his painting before finishing for the night. He accidentally fumbled with the painting knife, cutting open his right hand, blood spewing out immediately and falling onto the floor. The hybrid looked at his hand silently, not even registering the pain blooming through it. Tears silently formed in his eyes, panic fully setting in after a minute of comprehension. He shakingly ran upstairs to their bathroom, salty tears mixing with the blood spewing on his hand only serving to make it sting even more. He threw open the door, turning on the light before shakily grabbing their first aid kit from the cabinet.
Kai was about to get into bed and cuddle with Taehyun before he heard their bathroom door slam open, and the light turn on from the end of the hallway. He slightly sighed to himself, deciding to check what was happening before he went to sleep. When he saw Beomgyu shakily trying to apply bandages to his bleeding right hand, he immediately fell on the floor next to the hybrid, eyes wide with worry.
“Beomgyu-hyung, your hand! What happened––” Kai questioned, looking up to Beomgyu before flinching back. The older was looking at him with big eyes, tears adorning them as his mouth slightly trembled.
Oh.
Oh.
“Oh…Beomie. Did you hurt yourself? Here, let hyungie see.” Kai carefully took his hand, worried tone in his voice. Beomgyu silently gave him his bloody hand, still shaking steadily.
“Yeah…you did hurt yourself. It’s okay, though! We can just wash it and patch it up! It’ll be good as new, trust me! Here. Let hyungie help you wash it first.” Kai tried relaxing the hybrid, smiling bravely at the little.
“‘Kay, hyungie.” He spoke in a small voice, a pure and innocent expression on his face.
Kai led him to the sink, before turning it on and washing Beomgyu’s hand under it. The hybrid flinched back, Kai instantly rubbing him on the back as he conveyed you’re doing great, Beomie. One more minute. Once the blood was fully washed away, Kai grabbed the bloody bandages Beomgyu was fumbling with earlier, tearing away the bloody pieces and pulling out new ones. He calmly wrapped the bandage around Beomgyu’s hand, making sure it wasn’t too tight before holding it with athletic tape.
“There! See, good as new! What did I say? Now, let’s go sleep in hyungies’ room.” Kai helped Beomgyu stand as he smiled, lacing his fingers into Beomgyu’s non-injured hand. The hybrid silently nodded, fingers curling around Kai’s warmly as the tears in his eyes dried.
“Aigoo…my brave boy. You tried to wrap it up yourself. My Beomie’s getting so big…soon you won’t even need me to take care of you.” Kai pouted, trying to cheer the hybrid up as he squeezed his hand in affirmation.
“Never! I’ll…I’ll always need you hyungie.” Beomgyu refuted, eyes becoming watery once more. Kai smiled widely, rubbing Beomgyu’s fingers with his thumb.
“That reassures me. Thanks Beomie. Come on, I’ll tuck you in.” Kai softly spoke as they entered Kai’s shared room with Taehyun, the other still sleeping peacefully.
Kai tucked Beomgyu in before laying in their bed himself, kissing Beomgyu’s injured hand softly.
“Goodnight, Beomie.”
“Goodnight, hyungie.”
Kai smiled silently, eyes closing as he silently drifted off to sleep.
