Work Text:
Skateboard and Slingshot are roommates. Just roommates, right?
That's what Skate and Sling think, the others already know. Boombox was the first one to speak up, joking about the whole "and they were roommates" thing. Next, Sword, he said that they look like a cute couple (of course, he didn't know that they were actually not a couple, and he apologized after Sling awkwardly explained). And the list goes on.
Although they tried to deny it, they did have feelings for eachother, they just didn't know if they truly did or not.
Sling was the first one to have feelings. Falling inlove instantly. Every random cuddle means the world to him, even if it was just them cuddling in the couch because they were too sleepy to go to their bedroom.
Skate, however, tried to be in denial about his feelings for Sling. But having Sling as their roommate probably made it much more harder to be in denial about the whole "I have feelings for him" situation.
Both Sling and Skate share the same apartment, the same room, and the same bed. The apartment they were in was not designed for two people to live in, but they made it work eventually.
Now, the two of them are sleeping in bed. Skate keeps cuddling Sling in their sleep, no matter how many times Sling keeps pushing him away, Skate will always cuddle again and again.
You could confidently say these two are very much different from eachother. One has physical touch as their love language, and the other hates physical touch. But Sling doesn't mind it, he just gets annoyed sometimes.
Skate," Sling said, sleepily. "Stop cuddling me."
"Mmnnnoo." Skate replied.
"How about I kiss you, will you stop?"
"Then I cuddle you more."
"You're already doing that, how can you cuddle me more?"
"Hmmm, I d'know"
A few minutes go by and both of them are sleeping peacefully. Sling is trying to get away from Skate, while Skate keeps hugging and cuddling him.
Sling woke up after a few hours, looking at the clock near their bedside table. 4:06PM, it says in big bold red fonts.
Slingshot immediately tried to get out of Skate's cuddles, but the skater keeps cuddling tighter everytime he does. So, he just gave up, and goes to sleep too, slightly cuddling with Skate.
Skate wakes up after a few minutes, still tired. He looks at Sling, that is peacefully sleeping. He tries to wake him up, but Slingshot just scooted over and kept cuddling. He loved these sweet little moments when Sling was the one who cuddles him. Skate knew Sling hated physical touch, whether it came from him or other people, so every little moments like these he treasured the most.
Sling opened their eyes to see Skate looking at him. Confused, he spoke up.
"What are you doing?.." Sling asked.
"Nothin'." Skate says.
"Alright, uh, what time is it anyway?"
"I think it's uhh 4:30-ish?..I d'know."
"Okay, cool, uh."
"Quick question."
"What is it?"
"Is it weird to kiss your bestfriend?"
Sling was taken aback by the question, he had the most confused face anyone would ever have in this situation.
"Excuse m- what?" Slingshot asks.
"Just a question." Skateboard replies.
"I mean, I think so..?"
"Oh, right."
"What, were you going to kiss me?" Sling says, sarcastically.
"Hmm, maybe, if you wanted me to."
"Wait wh-"
"Just saying."
"Alright then, kiss me, I dare you!"
It was supposed to be a joke, all a sarcastic comment to what Skate had said, but Skateboard thought it wasn't. Skate immediately kissed Slingshot on the lips.
Slingshot didn't know what to say or what to do, so he just kissed back, caressing the other's face. They stayed like this until they were out of breathe.
"What just..what??" Sling said, confused.
"Did we just.."
"Yeah, weird."
They stayed silent, until one of them spoke up.
"Does this mean-" Skate was about to ask, until they got interrupted by Sling.
"We keep this a secret." Sling says, making a zipping motion near their mouth.
"Why? You don't want anyone to know we're dating?- Wait, are we?"
"We are, I think. Besides, they'll know sooner or later."
"Yeah, maybe."
Skate cuddled Sling again, and Sling cuddled back.
The two of them are still just "roommates", right?
