Chapter Text

Bakugo was fuming, he was trudging through the forest because his stupid classmates kicked the soccer ball into the forest. they just got their quirk but so did he and you don't see him accidentally causing an explosion, besides those two times, but since they are all cowards he has to do it like a true hero.

He was pulled out of his thought by tripping over a root and falling "THIS FOREST IS DUMB!" He yells while pushing himself up.

"That's not nice," a voice said from behind him.

Bakugo whips his head around to not see any person standing there but before he could say anything there was rustling of a bush and a kid walkout. the kid was bare foot but wore a kimono that was a clean white with a depiction of cherry blossoms which contrasted with his freckled face and bright green hair that hung down to the middle of the kid back.

"Apologies now, the forest will forgive you," the boy said crossing his arms.

"Tsk I don't have time for this I have to find my damn ball," Bakugo said before he kept on walking not hearing the boy follow him.

So Bakugo goes forward marching through the woods looking for the soccer ball, stepping over logs, ducking under branches, and finding nothing. just the same trees, the same flowers, and the old stumps. Everything looks the same to him so he might be going in a circle

Ok, he is going in a circle and he did the only thing he can think of "THIS IS BULLSHIT!" He screams having explosions going off in his palms

There was another rustling this time above but before he could look up the form of the kimono kid appeared with him hanging upside down from a branch with their arms slack, looking at him

"Are you going to apologize yet?" The boy asks

"FUCK OFF!" Bakugo said exploding with small explosions

The boy swings back and forth quickly to get momentum before doing a small flip and landing on the ground "I told you the woods were upset, Just apologize and you can go" He said looking at the boy and crossing his arms again

Bakugo stood there and finally caved in "I'm sorry for calling the forest dumb"

" And?" The boy ask further

" And I won't do it again," He said with gritted teeth

The boy looks at him staring deep into his soul before turning and looking around before turning back with a wide smile "The forest accepts this apology, go that way and the forest will let you go with your ball" The boy said pointing to where Bakugo just came from

"I just came that way" Bakugo stated "It's not going to be there!"

"Yes it will, come I'll show you," the boy said before skipping past bakugo

Bakugo followed waiting to be proven right and rub it in this extra face

"There it is," the boy said pointing straight ahead

Bakugo looked at where the boy was pointing and was shocked, the ball he had been looking for was there out in the open on the trail he took leading from the school "Wh-what the hell?" Bakugo said before running forward past the boy picking up the ball and turning back to the boy to ask him how but the boy was gone.

"Bakugo!" a voice yelled drawing the boy's attention to his teacher who was running up to him and grabbing him, "we told you not to go into the forest, it's dangerous so never go back in there again"

Bakugo trudged through the bushes of the forest, it was the weekend so he didn't have to listen to his teacher. but he was on a mission for that kid again once again he tripped over a root that was sticking out and fell "Where the hell are you extra!" He yells pushing himself up

"Oh you are back," the familiar voice said from above him, and saw the kid wearing the same thing as yesterday sitting on a branch

"How the hell are you able to appear from nowhere?" Bakugo ask

The kid sat there before stating "I just can"

"Tsk, so it's your quirk?" Bakugo ask

"what's that?" The boy asks while hopping down from the branch

"What do you mean!? everyone has a quirk!" Bakugo shot back with small explosions in his hand

"Oh, you mean stuff like that?" The kid asks pointing at the explosions

"YES!" Bakugo shouted

"So many people with explosions that must be a nightmare," The kid said with fear

"Not everyone has explosions! Where the fuck have you been living to not know this shit?" Bakugo ask further

"Oh I live here," The boy said gesturing to the forest

Bakugo was brought to silence by this as he looked at the kid before finally speaking "Who are you?"

The kid opens his mouth to speak but closes it seeming to think it over before stating "Izuku?" He thinks about it more before saying "Midoriya! Izuku Midoriya!"

Bakugo stood there staring at Izuku confused by how he said it "Izuku MIdoriya is your name?"

"Mhmm, It's a good name. Right?" He said with the last part looking for feedback

"It sounds close to Deku, I'm gonna call you that, Deku" Bakugo said with an arrogant smirk

"Ok! What is your name?" Izuku said unphased

Bakugo smirked and faltered at this reaction but kept moving forward "Katsuki Bakugo" he said with pride.

"Hmm, Oh kacchan! That's your nickname!" He said pointing at the boy with a smile.

"Don't call me that! use my real name!" Bakugo shouted at the boy.

"But you gave me a nickname so why can't I give you one and use it?" Izuku said tilting his head.

"Because I'm trying to put you in your place!" Bakugo shouted.

"But I am in my place, I'm in the forest," Izuku said tilting his head confused.

"That not what I meant" Bakugo seath before turning and storming away from the area with a huff.

Izuku stood there before following him "where are you going?" He ask catching up.

"Away from you" He said taking a sudden turn and going in a random direction.

"Why?" Izuku said still following him.

"Because you are getting on my nerves, stop following me!" He yells turning and swinging a hand in izuku general direction while moving in the same direction

"All right but I say you shouldn't go that way," Izuku said stopping in his track

"You, not my mom so don't tell me what to d-" Before he could finish his foot he thought was going to touch the ground but didn't because of the giant hole that he was currently falling into.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Bakugo screamed but it died off when he noticed he wasn't falling with a look behind him he saw a branch from a nearby tree catch him by the back of his clothes.

before he could do anything else the branch moved to lift him from the hole and back to the edge that he had walked off from leaving him on the ground and he felt a pat on his head from the branch before it went back to the canopy which gave him shade.

"Because of the giant hole," The kid said scaring bakugo with him suddenly there "Someone took a nap here and left it, I hope it is a pond when it gets filled, I can finally have more ducks here".

"Did you do that? I thought your quirk let you appear suddenly" Bakugo said regaining his composure.

"No, that was the forests. the trees hated to watch someone die here so they prevented it, they probably would've let you fall if you didn't apologize for what you said last time you were here" Izuku left the rest up in the air.

Bakugo stared intensely at the boy just thinking "Do you want to come to my house?".

Izuku's face lit up brightly at that.

Mitsuki was standing in the kitchen of her house copping up some vegetables for lunch, she heard the front door open followed by the voice of her son.

"I'm home hag!" Bakugo shouted.

"Better not bring any dirt into the house you little shit!" She shouted back as she went back to cooking when she heard two sets of footsteps moving through the house and towards her son's room, She continued with her cooking before stopping and finally processing the fact there was someone else there with her son and they just entered his room.

She quickly dropped her knife sprinted through the house and swung open the door to her son's room saw him sitting on his bed holding a book with another kid sitting right next to him wearing a kimono, had long green hair, and was barefooted had put dirt on the freshly cleaned bed she did not long ago

Both kids look at her in silence with the three people having a stare only to be broken by the unknown kid who smiles brightly at her "Hello Hag"

she respond with a simple statement "WHAT THE FUCK!"

Chapter Text

Mitsuki and Masaru Bakugo, theses two are seasoned parents raising a child who quite literally and metaphorically explodes with the slightest problem that is given to him not only that but their personalities help with that, a mother who will not budge on rules and will enforce them while Masaru is a gentle hand who tells and teaches what is good and wrong and how you should respond to things. sadly his job as a designer takes him away for periods there so Katsuki their son was almost a copy of Mitsuki

But they were sitting at their dinner table sitting next to each other looking across to the kid their son had invited and brought over to their house who was drinking a large glass of water, his 8th glass, and simply put down the cup when he was done and look at them with the same smile he had from the start "May I have another glass?" Masaru grabbed the cup and went over to the sink and began to refill it leaving Mitsuki to talk

"So you met my son when he wandered into the forest looking for a ball," She said going over the story they were given "he insulted the forest and you told him to apologize to it?"

"Yes, He called it stupid and the forest was upset by that," Izuku said

"so he did it let him go with his ball"

"He didn't believe me so I showed him the exit, the trees had the grass, and bushes left the ball on the path"

"And you left him when an adult showed up, the next day he went into the forest and you talked with him and you gave each other nicknames"

"he called me deku, I'm happy he told me"

"and it ended when he almost fell into a pit but was caught by a tree and set back on the ground. That when he invited you to our home"

"yes that is the story," Izuku said with a nod

Masaru returned with the glass and set it in front of Izuku who gave a quick thanks before going back to drinking the water

"So where are your parents?" Masaru said looking at the boy

Izuku set down the cup before speaking "I don't have parents, I was told to wait in the forest till I was ready"

"Ready for what?" Mitsuki asks

Izuku looked at the table before just shrugging "I don't know but when Kacchan invited me I just couldn't say no" The two parents looked at each other with concern as the kid went back to drinking water having a hushed conversation

"Alright!" Mitsuki said slamming a hand onto the table startling the boy "It's getting dark so you will stay here tonight but in the morning we are going to the police and find your parents"

Izuku calmly set his glass down before slamming his hands onto the table "I don't know what the police are but I am ok with that!" he said smiling

Both parents stood there looking at the smiling boy and were confused but in the silence, they heard their son speaking in a failed hush voice "fuck yeah sleepover"

"I told you to stay in your room!" Mitsuki shouted getting up and going around the corner where a screaming match began between mother and son

Masaru calmly stood up and spoke "I apologize but you will probably have to stay in Katsuki's room for the night"

"Why is that bad?" Izuku ask

"Oh you'll see," He said walking to the room and going past Mitsuki who was pulling at Katsuki's cheeks but despite this, he kept on yelling at her

The two enter the room and Izuku looks at it with amazement, yes he was already in the room but it was still amazing to him, all the posters of heroes who were in dramatic
form away from explosions or the shelves that had comic books and pop up books that are also about hero's fighting bad guys but they are all about a guy with a giant grin and golden hair. If only Izuku learned to read after all this time being here

"I'll get the Futon for you, and break up the arguing. you can take a bath if you want" Masaru said pointing to an open door before leaving the room and down the hall to the two who quickly began to quiet down at his presence

Izuku being a curious soul enters the room for baths, seeing a sink and a large tub on the far side of the room, he enters and not being able to see the sink goes to the tub on the far end climbs inside, and stands there for a bit. "Is this what a bath is?" Izuku thought before looking around and seeing a handle on the wall and pulling on it causing water to come out. Izuku saw it was going into a hole and quickly looked and found a small object that filled the hole perfectly causing the water to build up and fill the tub

Izuku sat there as the water went up and up getting the clothes he wore soaked, he knew that he needed water to keep himself healthy and the water helped but since he hadn't touched the grass to get nourishment for a while he began to feel but this much water was perfect. he laid down in the tub as water rose till he was submerged in it. his skin soaked in water with his hair floating up like the sea plants that he had interacted with every once in a while so he let out a small chuckle at the similarities and enjoyed it losing track of time

He saw a figure appear above him and grab him pulling him out of the water, It was Mitsuki who looked terrified "Izuku are you ok?!"

"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" Izuku said with the same smile as before

Mitsuki was confused by this but her husband pulled her back to reality when he went past her to turn off the water and unplugged the tub, "YOU ALMOST DROWNED!" she said shaking him

"Honey, honey stop," Masaru said grabbing her arms to stop her shaking the boy "Izuku are you ok?"

"Yes, I was enjoying the water," Izuku said wobbly after being shaken

Both parents stared at the boy who seemed to be perfectly fine after being underwater for 5 minutes before setting him down in the remaining puddle that covered the bathroom leading to the outside of the said room

"I'll start cleaning up, you get him dry and a set of Katsuki clothes," Mitsuki said walking out of the room

Masaru watched his wife leave before looking at the kid who was staring up at him with the same smile as always and he let out a deep sigh

It was time for everyone to go to bed, Izuku was in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt that had a skull on it both belonged to Katsuki but were given to him. Katsuki was in his bed letting out a loud snore that would've been impossible with his smaller size but Izuku lay on the futon not asleep, He never needed to sleep, but acting like it. after the incident where he made katsuki's parents panic and get upset, he would do as they said and not leave the room but his curiosity was getting the better of him again, so he sat up and looked around the room seeing the books and pictures and oh so craved to understand what was written on them so he would go to the source of the collection, Katsuki

He got up and walked over to the snoring boy and shook him "Kacchan, wake up" but the boy didn't wake up "Kacchan please wake up" He tried again but no result. Let it be known he try it this way

So he slipped out of the body he was in leaving it on the ground, He knew people panicked at seeing the real him so he used the body he found to try to not freak people out with Katsuki being the first one to not scream at the sight of him. he wanted to savor the freedom he felt of being not so cramped in but he has a mission to complete.

Katsuki was in a forest, he doesn't remember why he was there or even why but he just wandered around. he saw thousands of trees that were all lined up in a perfect row with the branches letting only slivers of light through to barely illuminate the area. he saw things around the trees, like animals but they weren't right. deers with eyes within eyes across their antlers, birds whose wings kept on changing in shape and number who let out sounds that made his ears ring, but the scariest of all was the bear thing; it was giant with it reaching up to the canopy and moving the branches with it own trees that grew on it back that had other creatures hiding within it puppeteer it. worst of all is that they look at him, they look directly at him showing him images that cause his body to freeze up with different emotions. fear of the dark of the trees, the joy of running in the fields of gold plants, the sadness of destroyed forests

"Kacchan," A voice said to him

he turned and the repeating forest was gone instead there was a single tree, so wide that it would take days to get around and so high he couldn't even see the top of it vanish into the infinite sky above with the fruits that were growing on it glowing like stars and suns but sitting at its base was Izuku wearing the Komono as before with a smile but behind him was a massive figure that was obscured by shadows with the light above not shining on it showing antlers that were draped with vines stretching out for miles, a mane of leaves that had barriers of eyes, a wooden skull that shifts in appearance of different animals as Katsuki approach Izuku

"Can you teach me to read?" Izuku asked as he tilted his head and the towering creature above them did the same

"De-Izuku. where are we?" Katsuki ask

"We are in the Verdant Sea," Izuku said "I was born here, you let me into your home so I thought I would return the favor"

Katsuki stood there mouth feeling parch "What are you?" He finally asks

"I'm your friend. Should there be any more than that?" Izuku ask

Bakugo was silent before finally speaking "Yeah, deku, I'll teach you to read"

Izuku smiled and the forest shook in joy at the sight of the animals crying out in excitement

It was morning and Masaru was the first one as usual, he got out of bed careful to not disturb his wife's sleep. He slips off his sound-canceling headphones to hear her snoring just like their son, he sets the headphones down and exits the room walking down the hall and looking at the floor, it was dry, they were able to clean up before there was any massive damage from the water but they left out fans to help it dry faster. He looked into his son's room and froze.

The kids were gone

with a surge of emotions, he quickly went down the hall to end up at the intersection of their living room and kitchen, he saw that the back door was open ran to it, and looked outside

"No deku! That's a three, not an E" Bakugo shouted pointing at a piece of paper

"But I copy it exactly," Izuku said sadly

"It's backward idiot!" Backugo shouted back

Masaru let out a sigh at seeing they were outside in their backyard with the sun shining on them and the small mess of papers and books around them sitting in grass. they noticed him and bakugo quickly yelled at his dad

"Deku doesn't know how to read so I'm teaching him!" he said holding up one of his school books

"Ok, are you two hungry?" He asks in a normal

"I am!" Izuku said raising his hand

"I want bacon!" Bakugo said getting up and running past his dad

Izuku followed giving a quick "Pardon me"

Masaru sighed as he closed the door and went to begin to make breakfast for the people of the house

Chapter Text

The Bakugos and Izuku sat in the police station, it was quiet with the lack of Katsuki with him being at school, they patiently waited till the detective that had been called and started to look through files to figure out who or what happened to the kid's parents.

The Bakugos watched Izuku as he sat and softly played with the dirt in a planter that had a bonsai tree in it and talked to it "Kacchan wanted to be here but he had school to go to, I want to go to school with Kacchan" he then turns to the parents and asks "Can I go to school when we get done? I miss Kacchan".

"Let's focus on this then we will plan that out," Masaru said avoiding the topic.

"Ok!" he said with a smile before going back to playing with the dirt.

the parents look at each other having a wordless conversation but it is cut short when they notice the detective walking up holding a small folder under his arm, Tsukauchi is his name, with his partner who has a cat head

"Hello again Mr. and Miss. I found information about Izuku" He said with a calm tone

"Did you find his parents?" Mitsuki asks standing up with Masaru following her action

"I think it's best if this was private. Sansa care to watch the kid?" Tsukauchi asked the cat head man who just nodded before moving over to the kid "Follow me" he said before walking to a nearby room with the parents following

Once inside the room, Tsuchaki closed the door but Mitsuki was first to speak "Why the hell are you being so secretive about this, you can tell the kid about his family and reunite them"

Tsuchaki sighed before pulling the folder open and began to read off what was on it "Name, Akatani Mikumo, Age 5. He and his family were driving down a road on the side of a mountain. a landslide knock the car off the edge into the nearby forest, we could never find his body"

Mitsuki was shocked by this but Masaru spoke up "Does he have any relatives?"

"A few but that's not the problem" Tsuchaki states causing the parents to be confused "It took a while before we found it because it is not a new file. the search for the body was the last thing that was done before we closed the case, 10 years ago"

"Ten years ago? how is that possible?" Mitsuki asks

"It may be a quirk effect put on him. His file says he is quirkless" He explained before handing over the file

Mitsuki looked at it and saw the information that was stated as well as a photo of the kid from a class photo, he looked exactly like Izuku besides the messy black hair and the tire look on his face that screamed that he didn't want to be there for the time the photo was taken let alone the school day.

"What could've caused this?" Mitsuki asked as her husband looked at the file next

"Not sure, there a few quirks that could have the effect but with the change of appearance and the time difference between when he disappears and when he reappears make it a needle in a haystack" He explained

"What's going to happen to him?" Masaru asks the detective

"We will put him into foster care, keep an eye on him in case there are any sudden changes to him as well as contact relatives to see if they can take him in" He explained

"Well take him" Mitsuki stated suddenly getting a shocked look from Masaru

"Mitsuki are you sure?" He asks

"Yes, I can deal with one more snot-nose brat. Plus it may help Katsuki not blow up," she said

Masaru looked at his wife and saw the look in her eyes and knew it would be impossible to argue so he defeatedly sighed "alright"

"Well, I guess I have to get the paperwork for adoption," Tsukatchi said as he opened the door to let them out.

Mitsuki walks out first with Masaru following behind but they both stop as they look at the sight in front of them

The waiting area that they left Izuku at was overgrown with leaves, branches, and roots that all originate from the bonsai tree that had burst from the planter and is now pushing up to the roof of the building. all the workers stood there looking at the sight with amazement and shock but the three people that just walked in instantly looked and saw nearby were Izuku and Sansa who were off to the side with Sansa holding izuku who seemed to be beaming with pride

"Sansa what happened?" Tsukachi asks jogging up to the man

"I was talking to Izuku and he did this" he explained

Tsuchaki looked to the boy who spoke first "It wanted to be big and strong so I helped it, like the hero Kacchan talked about" he said with the same bright smile

The Bakugos looked at the sight in front of them and knew they were gonna have their hands full

Katsuki stomped around the playground, it was recess and his class was let out to play, he didn't play heroes and villains with anyone because he was forced to be there instead of going with Izuku to the police station to see the grizzled detective that they were going to be talking to. The man was a hero but after a serious fight had to retire the call of being a hero kept calling to him so he became a detective to help find bad guys and fight them alongside pro-heroes, Katsuki thought to himself making a story for the man that is completely original and isn't a mix of all the movies he watched.

"No, the ball!" A voice shouted causing Katsuki to turn just in time to see a soccer ball flying into the woods, again

"It's in the woods," A kid said

"You kick the ball so go get it back," the first kid said again

"No the monster will eat me"

"Don't be a coward and go, monsters aren't real"

"then you get it"

"No, you get it cause you cause it to happen"

"Why? Because you're scared?"

"Shut up I'm not scared!"

The two kids continue to argue but Katsuki shouts "I'll get it" before running to the forest without hesitation. excited to go into the forest to see if he could find another person like Izuku

He ran forward with the path clear for him, and all the obstacles that he once ran into, and tripped over, were gone thanks to Izuku's doing despite not even being there. he slowed to a stop looked around and had not found the ball before so he sighed and asked aloud "Can you show me the ball?!" before looking around and not seeing anything before adding one word to his statement.

"Please"

As soon as he said that he heard an intense rustling noise as the forest began to move the ball to him with it softly rolling past a tree in front of Katsuki who went and pick up the ball and went back to the school

It was the afternoon when school was letting out its students with many of them running out toward their parents who were standing with Katsuki walking ahead to the road because his parents picked him up with their car and as expected they were there with Masaru in the driver seat, Mitsuki had her license revoked for certain events, and he waved to his kid who picks up the pace to get to the rear doors of the car and open them expecting to just climb in but he had a different event happened

"Kacchan!" Izuku who was on the other seat yelled with joy

"Deku? What are you doing here?!" Katsuki said quickly climbing in and hugging the boy "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you and we are siblings!" Izuku said hugging Katsuki

Katsuki pulls back from the hug "HUUUH?! but we are not related?"

"Not by blood but the law can say someone is a family member with the right paperwork" Masaru explained as he was closing the door Katsuki left open

Katsuki processes that fact before shouting "I have a younger brother!"

" But Kacchan I'm older than you," Izuku said being somewhat right with the age of the body he is inhabiting

"Nuh uh, You were added to the family later so that means you are younger" Katsuki explained

"Hmmm, I guess you are right," Izuku said as he put a hand to his chin thinking

"we already called the daycare you go Katsuki and we are trying to see if Izuku can join you in your class" Masaru added

Katsuki looks at his dad with wide eyes before turning to Izuku and shouting "When you get into my class we will explore the forest to find more people like you"

Masaru coughed intensely at that statement but before Katsuki could respond Izuku spoke "But there is only me that lived in the woods, But I like to walk in the forest so we can do that"

"We can look, how cool would that be" Katsuki thought about it before suddenly getting another question in mind "How was the detective? was he a grizzled ex-hero?"

"No, he was just average"

"huuuh?! what do you mean by average? no cigarette, no eye car, a trench coat that holds his revolver?"

"He had a partner that was a cat"

"Like a lion?"

"like a house cat"

"What?! That's so boring!"

Masaru sighed seeing that the two kids getting along with them already acting like siblings, they would probably thick as thieves and that cause him to dread what to come in the future
