He had spent all day preparing this. All he had to do is get a chance to sneak James away from his brother and then they were set. He just misses his boyfriend and with the stress of N.E.W.T.S, Quidditch and Sirius they haven’t been able to meet very often. In a couple hours time however, he was hoping they would be sitting down sharing a nice dinner made for them by the elves. (courtesy of Regulus being so nice to them) Whilst he was lost in his head he noticed James brush his shoulder. ‘So now is the time to put this plan into action’ he thinks to himself as he slips a small note into James’ Pocket and scrambles away.

Meet me in the astronomy tower tonight at 7.

Now Regulus wasn’t one to think of himself as a romantic but he figured James would appreciate the small gesture of the xoxo. So he quickly hurries off to make sure everything is ready.
Of course around 6:30 Regulus is pacing around the astronomy tower stressing himself out.
“what if he doesn’t show up. what if he doesn’t like it. what if-“
He stresses before getting cut off. He didn’t even notice James come in but apparently he did.
“Love, it’s amazing. I love it, I love you.”
He attempts to calm Regulus down whilst kissing his forehead and pulling him to sit down on the rug. He looks out across all the food in shock.
“Do you-“
“I love it.”
James cuts him off again before reaching across and giving him a hug. He picks up a sandwich and smiles at Regulus before taking a bite.
”I figured we could go stargazing since we have been so stressed lately I thought it would help us.”
Regulus manages to get out in one breath, and since he doesn’t trust himself to look at James in case of a bad reaction he continues to look down at the ground. All of a sudden he feels a hand on his jaw pulling his face up slightly.
”You want to tell me what stars you can see? I mean I’m looking at my favourite one right now but I’m sure that you would like that.”
