    Gems didn’t change, at all, except when they reformed, but even then it was rare for their bodies and proportions to shift. Humans, on the other hand, were constantly changing. The result of his conflicting natures was a sporadic and sudden growth spurt. Not to mention straight-up unnatural. And that’s how one day he went to sleep with the same body he had since he was eight and woke up almost twice as tall as a proper teenager.
    The next time his body magically changed though, he wasn’t so lucky.
