   Summary

   Greg would have lied if he said he wasn’t drawn to Alex in a strange way, the way one feels towards a happily-married straight guy or towards a box of Christmas candy bought way too early and hidden away till the festive season. You know you can’t have it, so you turn not wanting it into a sport and praise yourself for how well you’re doing. It’s all fine till you start suspecting that the bloody candy might be the only thing you truly desire. It never quite reached the ‘binge-eating at four AM’ stage with the two of them, but Greg almost wished it did so he had something to grieve now, rather than his dusty tin of Quality street, way past its expiry date, fully intact.
