Summary
“Just one, Harry.”
Dumbledore says solemnly.
“You can only save one.”
Harry stares quietly at the portrait of the old professor. Not long after, Dumbledore avoids his gaze.
“Yet another burden for you.”
His voice is sad. So Harry swallows the question rising in his chest. Why then? Why does he have to do this? Why does he need to be the one to choose who stays dead and who comes back? Harry swallows it not because he knows the answer, but because he knows what Dumbledore must have sacrificed to give him this chance.
“The choice is entirely yours.”
“I’ve made my choice.”
