"I might consider that," Martín responded, humorlessly, not even looking at him, sipping his coffee. Because Andrés had made a coffee, just to keep him here for another fifteen minutes, because he didn't have much else to offer. "If you weren't dead."
Martín had been amusing, once. Funny, even. He had been charming, and his mere presence had made the world a little sharper, more detailed, more interesting.
