They had started this arrangement because Satoru’s past track record of hookups ended terriblyーand by that, he means he caught feelings for the only other man besides Naoya he’s been with, who vehemently didn’t feel the same, and consequently stopped returning Satoru’s texts directly after his unintentional confession. He much preferred to never have that happen ever again, and for that reason, he finally accepted Naoya’s obsessive requests for sex.
The man wasn’t terrible in bed, but he certainly wasn’t devoting his time to making Satoru feel good. The best part about him, though, is that his personality is so terrible that Satoru would never dream about falling in love with him, so their dynamic would stay the way it is, and he would be happy.
