Work Text:
Aeor sat atop the Hero Agency building, gently kicking his feet to the tune of the evening birds who flew by. The city was bright, alive, even with it almost being six o’clock on a weeknight, but there was a party in town and everyone was invited, so work and school had been canceled throughout Hermitpires. The wind was blowing and almost took his mask with it plenty of times, to the point he draped his hood over his upper face just in case.
He could hear the sounds of soft jazz on the street below him, and he let his eyes fall shut as he leaned back against the roof of the building.
“Ye ain’t gonna sit ‘ere all night by yaself, are ya handsome?” Aeor suddenly heard the sound of flickering flames and wing beats.
Ah lovely, Tek and Curse.
Tek was the hero's loyal healer, always patching them up. Curse was a hero who had the ability to place curses on people, but whatever he did would hit him twice as hard.
Aeor sat up to glare at the two just as Curse landed on the roof. “I was planning to.” He hummed.
“Oh come on!” Curse smiled, tucking his wings behind him. “There’s a party! Besides, Mum wanted us to pull you down from here, and if we have to, we will.”
‘Mum’ was the hero Mother Zombie. She got her name off of Mother Nature, since she could do everything she did, just with the undead and unnatural. She also single handedly parented almost all of the heroes with extreme mommy issues after Thread, a hero with camouflage abilities, left to become a villain.
Aeor just glared at the two for a few long moments before finally standing up and taking his time to move to the edge of the roof. One of his deer ears flickered in the wind before he grabbed onto the underside to the roof and flipped himself, now hanging off. He tossed himself over to a pole and slid down, waiting for the other two who simply rolled their eyes at Aeor’s dramatic antics. Curse just flew down and Tek leaped off, a flurry of fire surrounding him when he landed.
“To the party!” Curse started his way down the street.
“I didn’t agree to that.” Aeor smirked, tilting his head to the small coffee shop on the corner of the block. “Let’s grab a nice cup of tea first.”
“But Mum-”
“Doesn’t need to know.” Aeor continued, looking at Tek who looked between the two before ultimately deciding to take a step towards Curse. “Worth a shot..” He grumbled before following the other two into the party.
Mother Zombie and Morph were in the corner talking.
Morph was a vigilante who had slime-like skin that could change color and morph into any shape he wanted.
Other heroes and civilians were everywhere to be seen, dancing to the music or talking to their friends. Not Aeor though, he was in another corner drinking fruit punch that was probably spiked, and watching his two boyfriends dance(very chaotically) to whatever song was playing at that moment. He eventually got so lost in thought that he hadn’t noticed when Tek appeared in front of him with his hand outstretched.
“Care to join me on the dance floor, partner?” He added with a small smile before tilting his head to the side, gesturing that Curse had started talking to HoTGuY.
Aeor took his hand with a courteous bow then they made their way to the dance floor. Tek placed his hand on the other's waist, Aeor placing his on his shoulder. They danced to the slow music that played overhead, staring into each other’s eyes before Aeor leaned his head onto Tek’s shoulder. The music eventually came to a stop, and Aeor gave Tek a quick peck on the cheek before going to talk to Mothspirit, also known as Moth, who was a hero that could shrink to the size of a moth, but the side effect was he was incredulously drawn to every light source. That was why HoTGuY usually kept a lighter or something on him at all times.
As the night came to an end, Aeor, Curse, and Tek all made their way to their rooms in the Hero Agency. They said their goodnights and Aeor heard Tek and HoTGuY begin talking out in the hallway.

Scar raced to the first floor of the Hero Agency. First person there got the first serve on pancakes! Tango was right behind him, Jimmy in tow, then finally Scott, Mumbo, and Cleo last, walking calmly. Tango and Scar were fighting over the spatula, earning a smack from Cub to both of them.
Tango went whining to Scott while Scar just huffed and took the spatula since he assumed his competitor forfeited. Scott simply gave the man a kiss before he dragged him and Jimmy both into the kitchen.
He ended up giving Tango half his pancakes.
