Watching them fail sparked some kind of cruel amusement in him that his Sire had spent years trying to teach him to feel."He's so smug," Grian groaned dramatically, butting his head into Mumbo's shoulder as he let his glamour fall and reveal his wolf ears, pressed low to his head with his own disappointment.
"Do better then," Mumbo shrugged, barely holding back a laugh. "Then I'll have nothing to be smug about."

Fortunately he managed to keep Boatem safe.
