Haneoka Meimi knew she had to be careful. No one knew she was on the church’s grounds as she wanted to practice stage magic. She didn’t care that her dad had forbidden her to do so until she was older; Meimi wanted to prove to herself that she could do it. Not paying attention to her surroundings, the orange-haired girl made a balloon appear in her hands after she said a few words.
Once she realized the balloon was in her hands, Meimi smiled at herself. Alright! She thought, smiling widely to herself. “Wow,” Meimi nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard another girl’s voice. When she turned around, she hadn’t been expecting to see a young nun-in-training with a little boy at her side. Both of them were staring at Meimi, and the orange-haired girl knew they had watched her do the trick.
However, when Meimi turned her attention to the nun-in-training, she found herself lost in the other girl’s eyes. She didn’t care that she couldn’t see what color her hair was. The only thing Meimi could think about was how cute she was. I don’t even care that I’m not able to see her really well. All I know is that she’s adorable. Meimi knew she shouldn’t be thinking such things about a girl she had just seen but she wanted to get to know her. However, Meimi knew she needed to leave before she caused an even bigger commotion. It was bad enough that two people had already seen her, even though Meimi didn’t mind one of them seeing her.
“I hope she goes to my school,” Meimi couldn’t help but say such a thing to herself, wanting to keep to know the other girl. I bet she looks extremely adorable outside of the convent. She thought.
Meimi didn’t realize how right she had been until she met Mimori Seira the next morning. “That trick was last night was very cool,” Seira told her. The nun-in-training didn’t even care that she didn’t know Meimi’s name yet; she just wanted the other girl to know that she found her stage magic cool. Yep, she’s totally cute. Meimi couldn’t help but think as she continued to stare at Seira.
