Chapter Text
Miss Circle collapsed into her bed, sobbing. "Demi..." She whimpered softly into her pillow. She could barely think, barely teach... Her heart snapped apart more and more each time she looked at him. If they had to cross in the hall, or if she had to pick up her students from his music class... Every part of her body ached to hold him in her arms again. She missed her fiancée... Or, ex-fiancée.
She laid on her bed for what was probably hours, recounting memories and sobbing. All until she heard the doorbell ring. "H-Huh..?" She got up slowly, slinking down the stairs and down to the living room. She took a deep breath and opened the door.
"Circle?"
"Bloomie... Hey..." She said, her volume low. She hadn't really tried to hide the fact that she had been crying, not that Bloomie would care. Circle was one of her very best friends. "I... Have some questions. If you don't mind." Bloomie began. "Can I come in?"
Circle gave a nod and stepped to the side. "Do you want something to drink? Tea, water, juice?" She asked as they walked to the kitchen table. Bloomie contemplated for a moment. "What kind of tea do you have?"
"I have matcha or e-earl gray. Pick your poison." Her voice choked on earl gray, thinking back to how that was Demi's favorite. Bloomie winced. "Um... Matcha." She said. She figured it'd be easier on Miss Circle's heart. She nodded.
She sat a mug down in front of Miss Bloomie, and one in front of herself. "So... You had questions?" She wrapped her claws around her mug and stared at Bloomie, who nodded. "Right, yes. Um... Demi, he mentioned something about you saying you're possessed..?"
She winced lightly, remembering the absolute breakdown she had the day prior. "Yes. I... Something controls me. It's like I knockout until it's too late... Or until I'm calmed down."
"Huh... That explains that... B-But... You said that me and Thavel are possessed too?"
"Are you not?!"
"No..! The principal gave us protocol, to give discipline to misbehaving students. Physical discipline."
"I... Don't remember being told that."
"Well you should, the three of us were all hired on the same day. Remember?" Bloomie's tone grew worried. Miss Circle shook her head, her expression growing grave. "Oh, Blooms! What do I do??" Her hands started to shake. "I-I can't just leave Demi! He's... We're..."
"...He's pregnant, isn't he?"
She nodded. "Did he tell you?"
"No. But he's terrible at hiding his symptoms. He spent his lunch break laying in the nurse's office."
"That sounds like Demi..." She chuckled. But her laughter quickly broke in sobs, tears started to slip down her cheeks. Bloomie took her hand and held it as she cried. "Demi..." She wept over and over. Bloomie just held her hand until she calmed down, she knew how badly her heart was aching.
Eventually she calmed down. "I need to find a way to fix this, damnit." She said, her lips snarling and revealing her sharp "I... Need to kill this fucking demon!"
"Breathe, Circle. Breathe."
Circle nodded and took a long, deep breath to steady herself. "Okay, okay... I'm okay." She said confidently. "I'll... Figure this out. Somehow. I'll fix this."
Bloomie nodded. "And you know I'll help you. Thavel, too. I know the others might be scared of you... But I'm not. I promise."
Miss Circle gave a weak smile and nodded. "Thank you, Blooms..."
"Of course."
