Summary
He didn’t ask for this, he never wanted this. To be stuck with an un-beating heart and a cold body, to remain unchanged while everything crumbles around him.
But most importantly he didn’t ask to fall in love with them. Not while they had had more time, not while he was only there because he was an unfortunate accident. Something they felt responsible for because the true perpetrator up and left thinking Jake was only a meal.
It’s not like they asked him to stay either, explaining on the first day they they were only there to show him the ropes or the places to stay far away from. He was just a charity case.
