Work Text:

usually dexterous digits no longer danced along the air, instead rattling frantically in swift jolting motions that were traced intricately by the eldritch fucking monster writhing, almost playfully in nature, in front of her. panic surged through her wires in a way she had never felt before -- a way she relished in while imagining others to feel, but never herself. she was struck with a realization -- she was the prey, not the predator. even so, she was prepared to make do with what she had.

it pried the blade free from where she had stuck it under its jaw, and watched as she summoned butchers knives, fleshy faceplate distending into a hideous grin. they danced above her head like rings of light in a halo, and perhaps for a moment she felt an angel slaying some sort of demonic entity; she would banish this thing to the hellish pits from whence it came. she would not let it leave her sights if it was the last thing she did.

the butchers knives flashed across the room in tandem, and the monster responded accordingly. its flesh-metal hide rang like windchimes as the barrage of blades did nothing to damage its armor while it was flying forward. tendrils as black as oil materialized along the monster's sides, branching out at dangerous speeds and reflecting each blade with ease.

doll hated the way her core pounded as she evaded each returning knife, wincing as she felt herself back directly into the lockers lining the hall. the cool steel did nothing to quell the ever-growing flame at her center. her vents came out rough and panicked, and the monster simply moved too quickly for her to keep up with.

a flash of off-white and a pain so great she hadn't known it could be felt. the deafening whang of the metal warping behind her overtook her senses and she let out a gut-wrenching shriek. the servos in her joints unlocked long enough for her to smash her fist down onto the entity that had its teeth buried in her midsection, but it wasn't enough.

chrk, CRACK

in an instant, the air was bedazzled with black ichor and entrails. oil - her oil - stained her hands, her face, and every inch of the floor that she could see. she heaved, and everything came out -- bolts, chips, oil, blood. the monster's blades refused to come down upon her and land the final blow, it seemed to enjoy the slowness of her agony more. the terrible smile it held before had only grown wider and sharper, now stained with her lifeblood, though still reflecting her horrified visage through the gore.

it lunged out with one of its tendrils and raised her off the ground by the throat, leaving her to grasp desperately at the gaping hole in her sputtering chassis. the monster leaned forward, the tightness of the tendril making it difficult for her to breathe, so much so that she could feel the pressure building up inbetween her joints. the pain was unbearable. she was going to die here. she was going to die, and the planet was fucked. robo-god, how did she ever let it get this bad? if she had just stopped and listened to uzi-

uzi.

fuck.

static crackled around her, vibrant red engulfing the area. she pulsed, then felt the asphyxiating pressure release from her neck. she nearly toppled over, now having to support herself. another pulse, and she was even further away. oil now pooled beneath her boots, threatening to send her crashing to the ground with one misstep. she could hear the horrible caterwauling of the eldritch creature echoing through the air. adrenaline and overheating made the oil in her fuel tank roil with heat. she could make it. she would make it. right now, she had one purpose, and it was to relay one final message.

thunder clapped distantly behind her, and she could feel all her sensory applications disabling one by one. adrenaline having worn off, she could barely lift one foot after the other -- the chips toppling out of her chassis were of no assistance, either. the slick ground worked against her one final time, her head cracking hard against the tile floor. in the corner of her eye, she could see the flash of a purple visor come into view. the eyes hollowed with conflicting emotions, something doll could sympathize with despite her dwindling energy reserves.

seeing that uzi was not going to approach, she raised a digit in her direction and displayed a simple message on the only functioning side of her visor. her reserves trickled from three, to one, to zero, and then like that -- she was gone.

Дай отпор, Узи
fight back, uzi.
