Summary
The rain is pouring down, each individual drop feeling like its own storm. The wind is picking up slowly dragging up fallen twigs and leaves fallen from previous attacks.
Aether barely stands sword in hand, he shivers from the rain beating down, he checks his pocket searching for anything to eat but there isn't even fried egg, his friends will have to wait, all he needs to do is win.
The enemy standing before him is as close to death as he is, its once powerful stature crumbled to a shell of its former glory, the next to strike would surely win.
It was a stand still between aether and the opposing force, neither daring to move, the wind carrying the rain faster, with the distant sound of thunder clouded behind trees blowing. With a lightning strike they both went in for the kill. Aether pulled back his sword readying it as he shrieked windblade.

"Easy," a low voice says above him, tone calmer and gentler than any of his other captors so far. He feels light fingers graze against the injury on his neck, and fear flashes through his unfocused mind. He trashes and bares his teeth in a growl, the iron taste in his mouth clogging his senses as his injuries throb at the sudden movement.
The person retracts their hand for a second, before settling it against his bruised hand, "It's okay," his voice sounds strange, choked almost, "it's… it's alright. I'm here now."

Summary
The trauma of transformation leaves scars much deeper than a drone's plastic shell -- deeper even than mangled insides twined with flesh. Though N was made to forget, V wasn't. The frame-by-frame image of her hollowing, her kenosis, is burned into her drives; not just her body torn into something else, but being forced to watch N go through the same.
