Work Text:
I know Cartman hates anything easter. Well, less hate, more paranoid. Because of that "Jewbacabra" shit. He's scared he'd get trapped again and the jewbacabra will eat him, so he's always had a buddy for Easter. I've never been his partner, but the others are tired of him so I kind of have to now. This year, Tweek and Kenny are partners, though, they've been claiming it's just because they're close friends. Stan and Butters are going together as well so that leaves me and...
"Hey, jew! Ready to go egg hunting!" The fatass says from behind, making me flinch in surprise.
"Don't sneak up on me, fatass!" I shout, pushing him away as I cross my arms. "But yes, I'm ready. Don't take too long, though." I scold the brunette.
Cartman rolls his eyes, "whatever, I won't get distracted. But I've got something cool to show you!" He says excitedly, the pastel pink and yellow basket in his hands being a bit cuter than I thought, with his stupid little smile. God, I love him.
"Have you shown this to the others? It better not be something dumb." I ask while putting my hands in ky pockets.
Cartman shakes his head, "nope! They wouldn't get it, but you will." He replied. My eyebrow raises in confusion and suspicion, before sighing.
I can't trust that this isn't some elaborate prank, but h hasn't done something dumb in a while so I suppose it's not. Besides, it's Easter. He loves Easter. Sorta.
He motions for me to follow him as he starts walking from the crowd. I follow him reluctantly. I'm in charge of him anyways. I watch as the bright green grass moves with each step of his, before rebounding back.
A few minutes later, and he suddenly stops, turning around to look at me. "The egg hunt is going to start in a few minutes, you better make it there in time." I comment. Cartman's smile widens as he grabs my hand and pulls me to stand next to him, which caught me off guard and made my cheeks turn pink. I hold his hand and I look off into the horizon.
It. Is. Beautiful. There are vibrant flowers everywhere, and large, luscious trees with leaves swaying with the soft wind. The birds were even singing sweet tunes as little, non dangerous, woodland creatures run around. A glistening lake can also be seen in the distance.
"Oh my god." I murmur, rubbing my eyes to get a second glance and pray that this isn't a dream. Cartman giggles, letting go of my hand and runs off into the forest, which snaps me out of my awe. "Hey, don't just run off like that!" I yell as I run to follow him.
Cartman laughs as I chase him, turning around to taunt me but doesn't get the chance to, as he stumbles and trips, landing on his ass. I chuckle and I stop running after catching up to him, holding my hand out to help him up. "That's why you don't just run away from me, dumbass." I tease, earning me a pout from the fat boy, reluctantly accepting my help and he stands up. "That wasn't funny, Kahl. I could've broken my leg!" The brunette complains, his arms crossing over his stomach.
He ventures off to show me the lake, sitting down next to it and pats the ground next to him. "Come here, look at this! You can see the fishes!" Cartman exclaims as I sit next to him, staring down at the fishes in the water. "Can I put my feet inside or will my toes become fish food?" I ask, earning a sweet snicker from Cartman as he shakes his head, "nah, I wish though. Violent fish living in this tranquil place." I chuckle aswell, realizing my question was quite silly.
We spend almost 30 minutes there, chatting and playing. In a way, it's almost romantic. The only thing stopping us from continuing was a text from Stan. 'Hey, the egg hunt is gonna start. Where are you guys?' The text read. I sigh, not wanting this moment to end. "We have to go now, Cartman. You don't want to kiss the egg hunt, do you?" I say, putting my phone in my pocket and I look at Cartman, who is also frowning. "Damn, I guess not. Well, we can come back here anytime, it's basically public." He says, smiling again. How optimistic. I sigh and I nod, smiling as I hold out my hand to him. "Let's get going then?" I ask. Cartman grabs my hand and kisses me on my lips, making me blush even more and my eyes widen. "Yeah, let's." He says with a smirk. He takes satisfaction from my flustered-ness. What a cute little monster. We start walking back, talking about our game plan for the egg hunt, but my mind is flooded with thoughts of and about the kiss.
Now, March is my favorite month.
