“It’s not,” Lyney finally says with an exasperated sigh, “this isn’t a trick.” A tail – his tail curls up around his own leg as his hands reach over his head, squeezing the soft-looking ears down with a frown. Wriothesley also notices how the magician’s hair is slightly messily done, unlikely for someone like Lyney who always wants to look his best.
A distressed cat, nothing else seems to be as accurate as that one to describe Lyney in Wriothesley’s eyes right now, except that it isn’t simply a metaphor right now.
