Work Text:
And so you spat your words.
Your tongue alit with anger -
Red hot, you pulled my cords
As if you were a random stranger.
Bask in your superiority!
Your hurtful words have reached my heart.
So what's the next authority
You plan to summon in your art?
I will hood my eyes in warning
A heavy weight between my brows
A short reply is quickly forming
Words uglier than our frowns.
Tears pool while i am thinking:
"Be happy or be right"
Salt plows my skin in sinking,
Lips curved at painful sight.
I yield to my heart's choices -
"The pain will go in time."
Or so I say to all the voices,
Rage pushing back in all it's prime.
So much for moment's weakness,
Us two crushed under it's weight.
What will you choose over your bleakness:
To be happy or be right?
