I saw someone say that Harold also died in the finale. He knew his gunshot wound was fatal but didn't want to fail John's last wish, so he entered the stairwell but leaned against the door and bled to death. I don't think that is my preferred ending, but it provided a visual depiction of my feelings for the finale... and for their love.
看到有网友说结尾时Harold知道自己也受了致命伤，但不想辜负John的遗愿，所以走进了楼梯间，但靠着门流血死了。这或许不是我想的结局，但终于激起了创作灵感。

Although I enjoy reading various fanfiction fix-it stories, including reincarnation, feigned death, and resurrection... I sincerely hope that after death, there won't be any more companionship. Life is short, and each relationship lasts only a few short years. It's better to get a kick out of each and die.)
