Work Text:

COLOUR ME RED
Satoru fluttered his eyes open, rubbing his eyes as he mustered up the strength to get himself out of bed, yawning and stretching like he would die if he didn’t.
Another sleepless night, or half asleep… As he liked to call it, because he WAS asleep but also technically not, a six eyes thing that he hates, never lets him rest properly.

But all that tiredness faded away as he saw the date on his calendar… HOLI!
His excitement had absolutely 0 limits, much like himself, and it showed in his actions(even though no one was watching him…) as he flung himself out of bed to quickly rinse his face and put on his ‘bad’ clothes(They aren’t old nor bad, he just doesn’t like them) so that his new PJ’s wouldn’t get spoiled by all the gulal and water, he didn’t bother to rinse his face since he would take a full bath after Holi, why the extra work?
He brushed his teeth and went straight to his drawers, where he’d stored his colours and since he didn’t buy a water gun this year, he grabbed his old one from last year, he obviously didn’t forget to fill it up(he would rather die.) and didn’t forget the water balloons either… He had already made devious plans to not let ANYONE go colourless this holi, any plans to do so would go down the drain with the colours of their bathrooms.

Satoru marched onto the middle of the campus, where they normally celebrated holi, although more “Stuck-together” cliques celebrated elsewhere, he was glad he wasn’t apart of that minority.
“Bhai!” Suguru called out to him as he saw him, he already had some red gulal on his face but only a smear, most of the students were already there, but none of them were drenched in colours yet, he had plans to change that. Malicious plans, infact.
With an evil smirk, he pulled out his gulal and threw it onto the black-haired boy, coating him in an array of colours which ranged from silver to red, but the colours had only seemed to cover half of the brunette next to him, which was a much more funny sight to see. He laughed at Shoko who had one half completely coated with colours and the perfectly normal.
Satoru could hear them swearing at him as they tried to do the same but he had already turned his infinity on, he smirked. “If you want me to take it off, you’ll have to be drenched in gulal first!” he laughed throwing water balloons on them, making them wetter than the Pacific Ocean.

Once everyone was finally fully covered in colours he submitted to their blackmail and took his infinity off, only to be met with all his seniors and juniors throwing water, gulal and balloons onto him, it didn’t take one second for his snow-white hair to turn into the rainbow, he laughed as he tried to avoid everyone but no avail had to admit defeat as everyone took their revenge on him. “Okay, okay! I’m fully covered from head to toe now, you guys can stop!”
Most people stopped but not his best friends, they obviously wouldn’t stop until they felt satisfied. He guessed he deserved it so he didn’t do much to fight back, it was too fun to stop, after all.
But he wouldn’t let them just use him like that, so he grabbed some gulal and smeared it onto them, making sure to cover their faces completely, especially Suguru’s face, he wanted to do it to Shoko too but her attention had shifted from them when Utahime arrived and besides, everyone was playing with their groups or best friends now so he guessed he should just stick to Suguru. “Revenge for last year.” he smirked.
Suguru rolled his eyes, “Shut up.” he said, throwing some balloons onto him.
But then Satoru did something he didn’t know why he did, he picked up some laal gulal(red) and smiled as he filled Suguru’s Mang, he didn’t know why he did it, he just did. His hands moved on their own as even his own brain seemed shocked at this, nearly as shocked as his best friend was, he took back his hand and didn’t know what to say. (Context: In Desi weddings, the man usually fills the woman's 'Mang' or the middle parting of her hair, and she continues to wear it to say that she is married; using hetero-normative terms because same-sex marriage is not legal in India.)

“Bhai…” His one and only muttered. “Bhai.” He uttered back. And they looked at each other a fire burning in their eyes as the tension increased, so thick you could cut it and spread it on bread to make a sandwich.

Then they made out, got married and adopted Megumi and Tsumiki.

-THE END-
