Gary trotted home, carrying luggage in his hands as the moon rose and shined over the tall, auburn-brown haired man, he let out an exhausted hum, glancing at the moon, he smiled and adored the way the full moon shined, a stark reminder of he and his beloveds younger days and the journey they went through, he sighed and continued his path home, a familiar and comfy horizon becoming visible.
Gary smiled, knowing his ravenette lover, Ash was most likely snoozing in the comforts of their shared home, he sped up his walking pace, swiftly moving to their front door, excited to greet and perhaps surprise his lover with his sudden appearance.
Arriving at the front door, he grabbed and fumbled with his keys, excited to see the lover he oh so greatly missed, and he knew that Ash missed him too, he peaked inside, and to no surprise, the lights were out and dim, Gary held back a laugh, entering the humble abode and glancing around the dark scenery, he closed and locked the door before running a hand through his own soft, yet spiky auburn-brown hair.
He looked around with a sly grin, an idea popping up in his head, he glanced around before making his way towards his and Ash's shared bedroom, he peaked inside, seeing the ravenette curled up and wrapped around in blanket, Gary raised an eyebrow, before letting out a quiet chuckle.
Making his way closer and onto the bed, he brushed a strand of hair away from Ash's face, seeing the peaceful but also discomforted look on the younger boy, Gary took a while to examine his soft features, concerned etching in when he saw how flustered Ash looked in his sleep, with an uncertain and hefty sigh, he leaned in and kissed the younger boy's cheek before taking a hold of his shoulder and shaking him awake. "Ashhhyyy~~!!" Gary sung, a sly grin on his face forming, but when Ash only elicited a soft whine, Gary furrowed his eyebrows.
Slowly he shook Ash even more, hovering over him with his tall figure, his dark-viridian eyes staring down curiously at the sleeping boy, suddenly Ash flickered his eyes open, he whined and rubbed his eyes, still drowsy and even a bit dizzy. He was confused to why the bed felt so heavy.
As he adjusted, his eyes widened, seeing the handsome man hovering over him, Gary smiled before calmly greeting Ash, "Goodmorning." with that, Ash squealed, Gary moving away so Ash could sit up, once Ash did so, the ravenette opened his arms and embraced his lover, nuzzling him, although something felt off to Gary, he sighed and put a hand on Ash's soft raven hair.
"Garryyyyyy-!!! your here!" Ash exclaimed and cried, missing his lover greatly, Gary laughed at his neediness, but understood the reason behind it, cause honestly, he missed Ash too, he planted a feather-light kiss on the man's hair before pulling back, examining Ash's soft and oddly vulnerable feature.
"Back and home." Gary said pridefully, running a hand through his spiky hair, trying to ignore his growing uncertainty, Ash let out a soft cough and giggled, rubbing his eye. "So, tell me everything! how was the trip? how was th-" Ash suddenly started coughing intensely.
Gary was taken aback, leaning in to support Ash. "Hey hey hey, what's wrong?" Gary mumbled worriedly, he extended an arm, gently putting his palm against Ash's forehead, he gasped at the warm heat. "Oh jeez, Ash your burning up!" he exclaimed, Ash shook his head. "Nuh uh!"
Gary let out a grumbled, concern and slight annoyance apparent on his face, he sighed before guiding Ash to lay down on the comfy bed, with Ash reluctantly complying. "C'mon, let's get you fixed up alright.?" Gary reasoned, with Ash huffing and crossing his arms, before softly giggling.
Gary laughed too, standing up and placing a light kiss on Ash's forehead before walking off to grab what he needed, outside. He heated up some soup and prepared a cold compress, grabbing a tray and setting all the required items on, he picked it up and made his way back to the bedroom, being greeted with Ash whining and squirming around on the bed, Gary let out a soft worried sigh, setting the tray down on the bed.
"Eat up now, you big baby" Gary teased, grabbing the spoon and bowl, Ash glanced at the soup, before pouting and turning away, a small and yet sly grin grew on his face. "Feed me" Ash laughed, with Gary rolling his eyes.
Gary grabbed the spoon and got a spoonful of soup, he led it towards Ash. "here comes the airrplane~~!!" Gary sung, making Ash huff playfully and laugh. "I'm no baby." He grumbled, but opened his mouth anyway, taking in the spoon and drinking the soup, Gary smiled. "you're kind of being one right now, so."
Ash rolled his eyes before sighing in defeat, grabbing the spoon and bowl. "point made." Ash laughed before drinking the soup happily, Gary smiled at the sight, running a hand through his lover's raven hair, he took the bowl and spoon away once Ash finished, setting it aside and grabbing the cold compress.
"This might feel weird for a bit, but it'll help aight?" Gary mumbled before pressing it against Ash's heated forehead, eliciting a gasp from the younger boy, he whimpered and whined. making Gary chuckle, he raised the cold compress before dabbing it on Ash's forehead repeatedly, wanting his lover to get used to the sudden shift of temperature. "There, better right?"
Gary mumbled, leaving the cold compress on Ash's head, Ash whined and shivered, closing his eyes as the burning headache slowly eased. "A bit.." he grumbled, whimpering softly. "Still feels weird though.." Ash stated, making Gary chuckle, the auburn haired man relaxed and got comfortable on the bed.
"Of course it's weird, its not normal to have something cold constantly against your forehead no?" Gary raised an eyebrow before teasing Gary. "But then again, you got your hat frozen by a snorunt at least one or twice." Gary teased, winking playfully and sticking a tongue out, Ash opened one of his eyes to glare at Gary, but his expression quickly shifted to a loving gaze.
"very funny." Ash mumbled, rolling his eyes playfully, the two stared at each other before loudly laughing, their shared laughter and love filling the room. Gary laid down next to Ash. "Tell me when you need anything alright..?" Gary reminded, raising an eyebrow before closing his eyes, relaxing.
"I know something I need." Ash started and trailed off, blushing as he crept closer to Gary, wrapping his warm hands around his lover. "I need you." Ash mumbled softly, closing his eyes and nuzzling his beloved, The taller man blushed, turning red at the flirt, he hummed and covered his flustered face with a hand, unsure on how to react.
"I need you too Ash." Gary mumbled, with Ash cooing happily, he squeezed Gary. "I love you." Ash mumbled, Gary smiled at the confession, wrapping a hand around him. "I love you too."
