Chapter Text
Hogwarts- the best and most prestigious secondary school in the UK, bringing together only exceptionally gifted and talented students from around the world, specialising in various area of science. Over its more than 200 years of existence, it has produced some of the smartest, richest and most important people. It is believed that those fortunate enough to attend this remarkable institution either have extraordinary luck or possess magical abilities, judging by the hefty tuition fees.
Severus Snape, a second-year student, attributed his admission to his dream school not to luck or magic, but to his knowledge, which earned him a full scholarship and success in the Preliminary Exhaustive Super Test or P.E.S.T.
Lifting his gaze from his worn-out notebook, he subtly looked around the shelves-cluttered History classroom, where the smell of old paper competed for dominance with expensive perfume. Students at Hogwarts were often referred to as witches and wizards due to their unique and exceptional qualities. Despite this, a boy with shoulder-length raven strands of hair framing his elongated, pale face, hunching over a wooden desk against the back wall, could easily categorize them into typical student groups: nerds, artists, and jocks.
The former were famous for their extensive knowledge, solitude, and gibberish that only the owner understood. The second were sometimes secretive or impetuous, depending on their mood and what the stars were saying at the moment. The third, on the other hand, were merely muscular chancers who took arrogance and self-confidence in with their mother's milk.
At the head of the last group, with his silly, cocky grin and dishevelled mop of hair, over which girls drooled, stood James Potter- the captain of the school football team, at the sight of whom Severus' jaw and fists clenched with hatred.
Regardless of the unpleasant feelings he had for his classmate, Snape was aware of what others saw in him. Indecently handsome facial features adorned his olive, smooth skin, deepening and sharpening the intense gaze of hazel eyes that not even shoddy frames could disgust. A shirt with the top button undone hugged his athletic figure, and instead of a jacket, part of the school uniform, he wore a dark red baseball jacket with gold elements and his name embroidered on the back, matching his carelessly tied tie. Contrary to this, Severus's aversion was not just based on jealousy of Potter. The brunet, despite being perceived as a walking ideal due to his looks and skills, often bullied, humiliated, and ridiculed Severus, not leaving him alone from the very first day their gazes crossed. He always looked down on others, and Snape, by virtue of his impoverished estate and unfavorable appearance, was the perfect target for the spoiled kid.
- Sev, Binns asked you when the Battle of Verdun started. - The elbow belonging to the red-haired girl poked him in the side, pulling him away from Potter's figure and the brown eyes that turned towards him, glittering with mischief. Severus blinked, focusing on Lily Evans, his near neighbour and childhood best friend. At Hogwarts, she was known as one of the most talented and popular students, entrancing others with her singing and dancing. There was also no denying the girl's beauty, with her thick red hair falling in waves over her shapely figure and her emerald eyes framed by long lashes, she could charm anyone. Most didn't understand what they had in common, mistaking their friendship for Lily's pity and kindness, but as long as Severus could see her sending him her encouraging smiles, he didn't care if their relationship bothered anyone, especially Potter.
- 21 February 1916- he replied, glancing at the elderly teacher from under his lashes, who nodded slowly and, without moving even an inch in his large chair, resumed his lecture, unconcerned with the yawning students. The professor frequently reminded Severus of a ghost, and the boy often wondered whether, if the teacher suddenly died during class, anyone, including the deceased himself, would notice.
A picture of the young Binns from one of the Hogwarts books that he and Lily had absorbed while lying on the fluffy pink carpet in her room appeared before Snape's eyes, and he still couldn't believe that the tired, dour old man in front of him was the same smiling, vibrant and award-winning person. This, however, did not stop Severus from admiring the professor and absorbing every word that flowed from his forever blue, chapped lips.
Suddenly, something hit the side of his head, pulling him away from the meticulous notes written in sloping handwriting. The teenager looked at the crumpled piece of paper, and unable to counteract his innate curiosity, unfolded it, reading the contents.
'You'd better wipe your mouth, Snivellous, because you're getting drooly staring at me. Is your little arse that desperate?'
Severus jerked up a face blushing with rage and embarrassment in the direction of his enemy, noticing Potter laughing along with Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew. Only Remus Lupin of all their inseparable, most popular foursome in the whole school was focused on the lesson.
-Don't pay any attention to them, Sev. They're just prats.- Lily whispered in his direction, leaning closer and placing a comforting hand on his own
Snape didn't even have to look at the enemy to see the latter jabbing daggers into their entwined fingers, and a barely visible, satisfied smile blossomed on his pale face. The whole school was aware of Potter's crush on Lily and his numerous attempts to date her, which she kept rejecting.
His gaze rested on the redhead, wondering what would happen if Potter's jealousy was in the slightest bit justified. What if Lily had looked at him differently one day? Would he himself have wanted their friendship to go in a different direction? Despite the words on the page, Severus was not thinking about his feelings for either gender. He was focused on his studies, knowing that a living soul would not be able to fall in love with him anyway. He could appreciate both female and male beauty, but in his opinion there was no point in dwelling on what he found attractive. For the sake of his father's peace of mind, he preferred not to even consider the option of his orientation, deep down dreading the answer.
Life was easier when the only chemistry there was in the glass flasks.
~***~
Both general and extra-curricular activities were over, and the school usually full of chatter and laughter, began to empty. Severus was leaning against the wall next to Lily's locker, browsing through his tattered advanced chemistry textbook, written on every page, while listening to his amused friend's story about Marlene's failed flirtation with a certain fourth-year. He and McKinnon had never gotten along, especially when she had a clear crush on Black, but they shared a thin thread of understanding and affection for Evans, so being in her company and witnessing her strange behaviour was not new to him.
- I'm telling you, Sev! That was awful! - she laughed, shaking her head in disbelief
- Yeah, I'm guessing. You'd better hurry or we'll miss the last bus. - he muttered in reply, turning another page.
- A bit of activity wouldn't kill you. Besides, we need to take advantage of the last warm days.
A meowing sound echoed down the empty corridor, but it did not belong to a fluffy, stray creature but Lily's phone. Shouldering her bag of numerous pins and patches over her left shoulder, the girl checked the message, her naturally blush-covered face turning pale.
- Crap! Sev, Mary sprained her ankle and, the dance teacher has called an urgent meeting regarding our performance. I have to go, be careful!
She closed her locker quickly, hugged her friend goodbye, and turned swiftly towards the gym where dance practice was usually held. In the meantime, the door from one of the classrooms opened, and the girl bumped straight into an exiting student, spilling what the latter was currently holding in his hands on the floor.
- Excuse me, Regulus! Sev, please help him. I've got to go! - she called out contritely over her shoulder, disappearing around the corner at the speed of light. Snape sighed at the redhead's clumsiness, bending down to help the kneeling boy.
- Wow- Severus made a quiet sound of admiration as he looked at one of the drawings. As a scientist, he had never understood art, regarding it as meaningless scribbles, but looking at the chaotic black lines depicting a human face hiding behind a hand, he was able to feel the emotion behind the author of the work.
- Give it back- the stranger growled lowly, snatching his property and pressing it to his chest, a blush appearing on his porcelain doll-like face. This allowed Snape to look at the other, noticing the dark curls falling over stormy eyes highlighted with black eye pencil. Regulus-according to Lily-seemed to be every teacher's heart attack. He was dressed in an oversized grey T-shirt with some band's logo on it, the sight of which his father would have paid a priest to exorcise, and ripped jeans. The whole look was adorned with earrings barely visible behind the strands, necklaces and rings emphasising his black-painted, short fingernails.
- Forgive me, I didn't mean to be nosy- he said quietly, handing over the rest of the collected items, unable to stop himself from glancing at the other works - You know, this is really nice. You have a gift.
Severus didn't know why he said it, it wasn't that he liked to praise others, but something made him speak up. Regulus looked at him with a piercing gaze.
- Also, I'm sorry about Lily. She was in a hurry. - He added, wanting to get rid of the strange feeling in his throat, getting up from the floor
- This isn't the first time she's bumped into me. At least she didn't spill anything on me this time.- Regulus said, also rising from the ground. - You must be all that Sev she talks about non-stop. I'll admit it's not how I imagined you.
Severus did not know whether the last sentence was an insult or a compliment, so he did not comment on it. Although, judging by the opinion the others had of him, it was probably the former.
- How do you know Lily? Apart from the unfortunate incidents, of course. - He asked instead, although his introverted mind was screaming to just turn and walk away
- I met her at the beginning of the year when she was giving tours to the freshers. Later, she tried to undress me in the middle of the cafeteria when she spilled tea on me. I'll admit I've never met such a stubborn girl, she didn't give me a break until she dragged me to the laundry room.
Severus's lips curved upwards gently at the memory of Evans recounting her first failure as vice-president of the student council, groaning into his sleeve.
- Although, as I see, she wasn't lying about you having a cute smile.
Snape snapped his head up, staring surprised at Regulus smiling archly as he took a large step towards him. Before Severus had time to growl at the boy to stop teasing him, ignoring the heat on the tips of his ears, the loud slam of a door opening caught their attention.
Severus wanted to curse his crippled luck at the sight of Potter and Black, completely forgetting that today was Hogwarts football team practice. As if attracted by a magnet, hazel eyes hidden behind glasses rested on the black-haired teenager, instantly removing his smile and smoothing out his unfairly handsome facial features.
- Oh Snivellous! Get the hell away from my brother! - Black shouted loudly
- Brother?-before Snape could finish his shocking thought, Sirius grabbed him by the collar pushing him painfully against the lockers
- Sirius, leave him alone! Sev didn't do anything to me! - Regulus jumped towards his brother, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him, though he didn't budge at all
- Sev? - Snape could hear Potter muttering disbelievingly, which seemed to enrage the older Black even more
- Oh, you hideous ball of grease! Keep your clawed paws off my brother! - Sirius grabbed him again, this time throwing him to the floor to the accompaniment of Regulus' screams. Severus let out a groan of pain as his bottom hit the tiles and the textbook held to his chest fell out of his hands, landing somewhere nearby.
Black towered over him, looking like a large, angry dog about to pounce on its prey in a split second. Severus had been exposed to his enemy's unstable vehemence previously, but never before had it been so extreme. Clearly, the subject of his brother and his association with someone like him was like a red rag to a bull. He needed to get out of there as quickly as possible.
- I'd never even go near him if I knew he had the same vapid blood flowing in him as you, Black! - he growled, catching Regulus' hurt look out of the corner of his eye, but he was completely unconcerned. He had nothing in common with the boy he had met only ten minutes ago.
Without waiting for the others to react, Severus awkwardly reached for his book, sliding his shoes clumsily against the floor as he attempted to lift himself up at the same time. He made a renewed sound of pain as Potter's dirty trainer landed on his hand, crushing it further into the open pages of the textbook, soiling them. Snape managed to pull his fingers out from under his enemy's shoe, at the same time as Potter's strong grip tightened on his hair, pulling him upwards. He brought his face close to his, their noses separated by mere inches, contempt and disgust bursting from his brown irises.
- I hope you heard clearly, Snivellous. Or perhaps I should show you where you truly belong?-the fingers tightened even more on the black strands, eliciting a hiss from their owner. Severus, feeling Potter's breath mingling with his own, tried to jerk backwards, pulling the book with all his might, causing it to tear in half
Startled, Potter let go of him, taking a step backwards, watching with wary eyes as Snape shifted on his knees closer to the book, trembling hands picking up what was left of it.
- No...- he whispered under his breath, for a moment there was only shock on his face, and a second later anger flashed like lightning.
He pulled himself up from the ground, facing his enemies, not even ashamed of his glazed eyes, resembling a black hole at that moment- Drop dead!
Severus didn't believe in such a thing as magic, but he hoped that some higher power would treat his last words as a curse and cast it in his name on the two idiots poisoning his life since the beginning of his first class.
Trying to preserve the remnants of his ragged dignity, he exited with a quick step through the main door, and as it closed behind him he threw himself at a run towards the gilded entrance gate with its carved lion, snake, badger and raven.
Severus stopped running, only when he felt his legs start to burn from the excessive exertion he was not used to. He stopped, leaning against a nearby wall, trying to calm his breathing and heart. He loosened the fingers holding the torn parts of his book, noticing that his knuckles had turned white from the firm grip. The teenager looked at the damage, assessing its level and the possibility of restoring the textbook.
Saying Severus was annoyed was an understatement. The boy, to his own dismay, had grown accustomed to being bullied by Potter and Black, to their constant insults, invading his personal space and even destroying his possessions.
However, when the sound of ripped pages reached his eardrums, Snape felt something inside him snap. The chemistry textbook was the only thing that survived from Eileen's teenage years and her time at Hogwarts that Tobias had not managed to burn. It was through this inconspicuous, tattered book that Severus first had the strength to dream. He absorbed every word of it like a drug, treating his mother's property like a treasure. Sometimes he had the feeling that when he looked at it, when he browsed through its yellowed pages, he could see the strong, independent and successful chemist that Eileen had once been, before she decided to marry Tobias. This image, allowed him to work hard, to hope that one day he himself would become a scientist respected by all.
Severus let out a short, mocking giggle, feeling a single, stray tear run down his pale cheek. For someone who shunned anything that included the word magic, he had forgotten that life was not some candy fairy tale where a fairy godmother would wave her wand granting his every wish. Dreams, especially of someone like him-a poor, ugly, miserable teenager-were as fragile as the pages of a textbook crumbling in his hands.
He thought that perhaps James Potter was to be thanked, after all, this one had finally brought him back to the grey reality that was real life.
The sound of a notification drew his gaze away from the filled flasks on the cover. Severus pulled his age-old flip phone, so distinctive from the modern smartphones of his peers, from his pocket, immediately straightening up when he saw the message from Lucius Malfoy.
'Forgive me for interrupting, Severus, as I am guessing you are busy. I just wanted to ask if you have thought through my proposal?'
The black-haired boy's heart, which had managed to calm down after his run, began to beat rapidly again, and his palms were covered in sweat, despite the chill the autumn wind gave off. Lucius' suggestion was a difficult one, and for the first time Snape did not immediately agree to what the blond boy had said, despite the trust and admiration he had for the President of the Student Council.
'I'll understand if you're not sure yet. Take as much time as you need. Please know that I'll always listen to you if you'd like to talk' -came another message, making scarlet appear on Severus's cheekbones again, but far from that caused by anger. Snape groaned as he felt the pleasant warmth spread throughout his body, and he slid down the wall, hugging his knees with his arms and hiding a goofy, wide grin behind them.
'Don't worry, Lucius, you're not disturbing me. I am just returning home. About your question, I have thought about your proposal and I agree.' - he finally tapped out an answer, hesitating for a fraction of a second to send. His doubts, however, quickly fled as he read the text message from Malfoy.
'You don't even know how happy your reply makes me. I promise you won't regret it. As always, I will take care of you.'
Severus tucked the phone back into his pocket, biting his lip until it bled to stop the little girl's squeal. But the pleasant feeling, with Lucius' warm words, evaporated as he looked at the textbook again, reasserting the fact that he had made the right decision.
The boy picked himself up from the ground, heading toward home, and instead of dwelling on the blond's every word, his thoughts, as usual, revolved around Potter's personage. Despite trying to convince himself that the reason why the boy hated him so much didn't matter to him, sometimes he felt like approaching the team captain and asking him directly the case, even though he knew it would end in ridicule and a statement that his mere existence was enough to despise him. He knew that most, especially those from rich families, disliked him because he got into Hogwarts thanks to a full scholarship. They believed that someone who couldn't even afford decent shoes was not worthy of attending such a prestigious school. And it was no secret that of the scholars, Severus came from the poorest family, without even being able to hide it.
Snape considered Potter synonymous with the stereotypical rich and spoiled kid. He was arrogant, mean, looked down on others, wallowing in the knowledge that he was handsome, talented and charismatic. He honestly didn't know why someone like James Potter - a happy child, loved by all the angels since birth - was even wasting his time and energy bothering someone like Severus.
The boy kicked a lone can lying in the road. Does Potter seriously need him to boost his self-esteem? No, that's not possible either, because even Hogwarts isn't as big as ego of Mr. Perfect.
Sometimes he wishes he could read Potter's thoughts....
- Blimey, watch out, kid! - called out a voice behind him, and a large hand grabbed him by the collar pulling him backward, almost lifting him off the ground. Severus widened his eyes as the speeding car passed him by a hair's breadth, and a scream froze in his throat. -Are you alright?
Snape raised his head, turning around when a large hand let go of his shirt. The boy had never seen someone so huge before in his life. The bearded man in front of him resembled a big mountain dressed in a reflective uniform with a big stop sign in his hand, giving him a big smile.
- Oy, you wizards spend too much time with yours head in the clouds. - he laughed, giving him a friendly pat on the shoulder, although Severus had the impression that the crossing patrol officer was trying to run him into the ground.- But be careful next time.
- Sorry, sir. - He bowed his head, embarrassed
- Oy don't worry so much! In the end I saved you! And no sir. I'm Hagrid. Rubeus Hagrid. Lollipop man of the walkway 9 3/4.
- Walkway 9 3/4?- Severus asked surprised.
- Exactly! The main road leading to Hogwarts. As a regular visitor, I confirm that it's as magical as the school itself! - Severus could not hold back a snort at the giant's words. Hagrid sent him a questioning look.
- Forgive me, but there is nothing magical about this school.
The lollipop man gasped disbelievingly, as if Severus had just told his five-year-old version that Santa Claus doesn't exist. The giant abruptly stopped in the middle of the road, placing his large hands on the teenager's shoulders to his horror firmly holding him in place. Was he crazy, wanting to talk to him in the middle of the road!?
- Eeeh Hagrid, I don't think....
- How can you say something like that!? Severus, you are a wizard.
Something in Hagrid's gaze made Snape speechless, looking at his own reflection in the man's dark brown irises, full of certaint, and not even the sound of the wind and the chirp of birds pierced the echo of the words resonating in his head. It wasn't the first time someone had called him that, Hagird himself had referred to him by that word for the second time, but it was the first time Severus felt as if it didn't just involve him being a Hogwarts student
- What am I? - the boy breathed out, feeling his head begin to spin
- A wizard, of course- Hagrid replied, as if it was the most obvious thing under the sun, then pulled a lollipop out of his big pocket, unwound the paper in a practiced motion and shoved it straight into Severus' mouth before he could stop him- But don't worry, everyone sometimes needs a reminder of who they are.
He winked at him, beaming again, then pushed him towards the pavement.
- Have a safe journey! See you soon! - the lollipop man began to wave him away, and Severus could feel his gaze on him even as he managed to move away
Suddenly, the boy stopped in mid-step as the whole conversation with the strange man began to process in his mind. Severus had not once told him his name.
The teenager turned around sweepingly, running back to walkway 9 3/4, but found no sign of the giant.
- I guess I'm starting to freak out... - he shook his head, resuming his path to the place he called home, turning the plastic stick between his fingers.
~***~
Severus did not immediately realise that something was wrong. He got up in the morning, completely sleep-deprived, sacrificing several hours of sleep to glue together his tattered textbook, struggling to keep the pages from flying out of their places as he leafed through. He ate breakfast prepared by Eileen, thankful for a peaceful morning without Tobias' presence, kissing goodbay her hollow cheek.
"Poor boy"
The teenager did not comment on his mother's words, knowing that she often said some strange, cool words towards him. He grabbed his bag and headed out the door, simultaneously wrestling with the striped tie in the colours of his school club- Slytherin, and self-consciously stroking the Hogwarts crest on the left side of his black jacket with his fingers.
- Sev! - Lily called out to at the crossroads under the great willow tree where they always met on their way to the bus stop. The girl lived on the other side of the river, in a more expensive neighbourhood, not far from his. It was easy to spot the playground from here, where the two friends had first met. Snape still remembered little Lily, accompanied by her older sister Petunia, swinging high, looking like a beautiful phoenix from mythical legends.
The redhead beamed at him as she did every day, hugging him tightly.
"Crap, he looks tired. I'll kill Potter with my bare hands."
Severus laughed softly at her words, briefly returning the hug and stepping back.
- Word travels fast, as usual. Relax Lils, I'm fine. Besides, you know that arsehole, even dead will find a way to get everyone talking about him anyway. - the girl gave him a puzzled look, shaking her head
- You know, Sev, I don't think you're the only one who's tired. I don't even know what I'm saying out loud and what I'm not. - She giggled as they walked, bouncing and humming a tune under her breath.
- I hope Hooch didn't tire you too much because of Mary.
- We had to change the choreography a bit, luckily Mary wasn't the main dancer. I'm sorry about what happened with Potter and Black. Regulus told me what they did and asked me to convince you to talk to him so he could apologise to you. He also want to pay for the textbook they destroyed for you.
- That will not be necessary. - Severus bowed his head, burying it in his arms, and tightened his grip on the strap of his bag. - I don't want his apology either, after all it wasn't his fault.
Lily smiled sadly, putting one arm around her friend.
"You're too good for this world, Sev."
- Huh? What did you say? - the redhead blinked her big green eyes at him, casually letting him go
- I didn't say anything.
- Sorry. I guess I really didn't get enough sleep. - he looked away from his friend's caring gaze
- Remember to go to bed early tonight.
Severus felt like he was getting worse with every passing quarter of an hour. In class, he had trouble concentrating and felt like he was having some strange hallucinations. During class, he thought he could hear Lily humming a song, even though her gaze was intensely focused on the textbook, while its owner didn't even pay attention to the fact that she was poking Severus with her elbow the whole time. Later, he seemed to hear Slughorn-the chemistry professor-complaining about the egg salad he'd eaten first thing in the morning while he was grading his experiment.
During his lunch break, he found himself at his locker instead of in the canteen, resting his forehead against the cold metal. His migraine was getting worse likewise his exhaustion. The days were getting colder, so he guessed that the malaise might have been the result of a cold. As he contemplated using a warm scarf, a deep male voice rang out from his right.
- Severus. - A shiver ran down his spine as he turned and met Lucius' grey eyes and his gentle, mystical smile. He stood upright, wearing a neatly ironed uniform with his long, shiny blonde hair tied into a low ponytail. Snape had the feeling that some illuminating aura always surrounded him, drawing everyone's eyes to him.
- Lucius. It's good to see you. - He nodded, trying to hide his disapproving look behind his hair, feeling uglier than usual around the older boy.
- I can say the same. I just wanted to confirm our conversation yesterday in person, although I can see you don't look well. Are you all right?
- Oh yes! I must have caught a cold of some kind. Thank you for your concern. - he whispered the last sentence in a low voice. God, why does he always have to be so abashed around him!?
- Maybe you should go to the nurse? If you want I can take you there. - Lucius put a hand on his shoulder, leaning slightly towards him
"His whole face is red. And what is that? Is that a trickle of sweat on his neck? Perhaps he has a fever?"
Severus listened to Lucius' words in disbelief, though blond's lips were tightened. With a characteristic clap, he pressed his hand to the skin under his jaw, dismayed to feel the dampness on it.
- I-I need to use the toilet! - He jumped away from Lucius as if scalded, and before the other student had time to stop him, Snape had disappeared behind the men's toilet door.
Letting out a loud sigh, he walked over to the large mirror, resting his hands on the basin. He looked at his own poor reflection, horrified to find that Lucius description was adequate with reality.
Severus tightened his eyelids, trying to process what had just happened. He knew what Lucius was thinking, even though the other student had not spoken. He could hear Lily humming a song instead of concentrating on the lesson, and what she hadn't said on their way to school. He was even aware of what the egg salad had done to his professor's digestive system! And all because he had touched every single one of them in those moments.
- Impossible- he whispered under his breath, looking at his own hands, pale with long fingers, in places with visible veins, completely lacking the appearance of having power in them.
Magic.
Severus, you are a wizard.
Snape jumped at the sudden creak of the door opening, grimacing at the sight of Potter. Avoiding his disdainful gaze, he tried to get past his foe, but the latter blocked the only way out with an upright arm.
- Aren't you going to say hello, Snivellous? - a mocking smile curved his full lips
- Piss off, Potter. And move over, I want to pass. - Despite the fact that Severus was a few centimetres taller than his classmate, his hunched posture and Potter's broad figure made his enemy seem perpetually towering over him.
The brunet pouted, moving closer towards him until Snape's back came into contact with the cool tiles.
- Are you in such a hurry to get back to Malfoy? I reckon that gelled peacock won't notice the disappearance of one of his whores. - An open hand slammed into the wall just beside Severus' head, hazel eyes tracking with intensity the fire in black irises and the path of trickling droplets of sweat appearing on Snape's already heated face.
Despite Potter being dangerously close, practically mixing his minty breath with Severus', this one still hadn't touched him, and thus, he couldn't read his thoughts, if the bastard had any.
- Or do you want to be, one of his favourites? Say, Snivellous. Do you dream of Malfoy fucking you like a rag doll, in every broom closet?
- Fuck off, Potter! - the captain of the school team, grabbed him painfully by the back of his neck, bringing their body close to each other in such a way that the latter could feel the delicate outline of his muscles.
"Answer"
- Or maybe you dream of him pulling your hair? Or perhaps you fantasise about him fucking you while you moan his name?
"Come on, answer me"
- What if it's true, Potter?-he hissed, fuelled by the brunet's thoughts- I didn't know you worrying so much about my dreams.
The flurry of emotions pouring out of Potter, overwhelmed Severus.
- You are disgusting.
"What do I even see in someone like you?" - Potter's thoughts raged through the minds of both teenagers, mixing them with the words coming out from between his lips
- I loathe you.
"Why does my stupid heart still beat so fast after all of that?"
- You should do everyone a favour and disappear
"Would I then stop being in love with you?"
Severus felt his heart stop beating, his stomach twist into a knot, and something resembling a stifled screech came out of his throat.
- HUH?!!!
