Notes:

This lil idea popped into my head, bro. By the way sorry bout the tags, I cant tag for shit, bro.

Work Text:

"Who are you?" Wednesday glared at the strikingly similar-looking girl standing in front of her. She was pale, sported a black dress and also had pigtails except there was no fringe; unlike hers. She stood with her arms folded, staring at Wednesday. She wasn't glaring but, her gaze wasn't polite either, it seemed to radiate smugness, one of her brows raised by a small margin.

"Who are you is the better inquiry," the girl replied, her voice monotone... just like hers.

"I asked first."

"And now I'm asking."

Wednesday's glare hardened, the other girl's stare didn't waver and they stepped closer to each other.

"Wednesday!" Someone shouted, a pair of rapid footsteps came soon after. "Wednesday, where'd you run off to?" Xavier came around, frowning at the girl Wednesday was staring at before meeting her gaze. He held up a plastic bag. "I got the stuff." He turned back, at the girl, noting her less-than-colorful attire and pigtails. He made a connection. He looked back at Wednesday, throwing a thumb over his shoulder. "She a relative?"

"You called her Wednesday?" The girl said, drawing his attention. Wednesday kept her glare locked on the girl ahead on the sidewalk. The girl's eyes fell to the concrete for a quick second, a slight frown. "Odd, that's my name."

Wednesday's eyes widened momentarily but, reverted to glaring.

Xavier's brows raised. "What are you talking about?"

"Wednesday is my name too." The girl named  Wednesday  turned to Wednesday, the slight hint of curiousness was gone, replaced by the smug exterior once more. "Hm, so, I have a stalker."

"Excuse me?"

"A stalker, I'm referring to you."

Wednesday stepped forward, fist clenched when an arm shot out in front of her. "Whoa, hey, wait, wait a second. Let's just relax a bit." She shoved away Xavier's arm. He turned to the girl named  Wednesday.  "Alright, uh, so, you're Wednesday?" Other Wednesday nodded and he turned to his Wednesday. "And you're Wednesday?" The girl in question directed her hard glare at him but, he was unphased, he had seen it plenty of times. "What the hell is going on?"

"I don't know," Wednesday responded.

"W-Wait, hang on!" Xavier turned to the other Wednesday. "How do we know you're telling the truth? You could just be lying."

"It doesn't matter," other Wednesday replied, turning to Wednesday. "What I want to know is why you're pretending to be me."

"You? I was born with the name Wednesday, born on Friday the 13th. As far as I'm concerned, you're just a deranged lunatic who saw my name in the newspaper." Wednesday frowned before looking at Xavier. "Is this your idea of a joke?"

Xavier met her gaze, awkwardly glancing back at the other Wednesday. "W-What?" He gazed between the two Wednesdays for a moment before landing on his Wednesday. "W-Wait, you think I'm playing a joke? Y-You think I'm orchestrating some type of prank?"

Wednesday's jaw clenched. "Are you?"

"Uh, no! One Wednesday is enough!"

"I agree." They turned toward the other Wednesday. "One Wednesday is enough." She targeted Wednesday with her eyes.

"And what is that supposed to mean?" Wednesday faced her body toward the other Wednesday.

"What do you think it means?"

"I'm asking you." Wednesday's reply was low, a sinister tone lacing her voice.

"You can't figure it out on your own?"

"I want to hear you say it."

"Okay, uh, before this becomes a deathmatch..." Xavier grabbed Wednesday by her shoulders, turning her to him. "Wednesday, why don't we go and drop off Enid's things then we can come back to this later, yeah?"

Wednesday's eyes lingered on him for a moment before they flew to the other Wednesday who was still staring smugly at them. She worked her jaw, sighing through her nose. "Fine."

They left the sidewalk, crossed the road and began heading back to the academy. Wednesday snuck a glance over her shoulder to see the fake imposter with the same smug expression on her face, she'll come back to it later. She will make quick work of this girl once she is done helping out Enid. How dare she call her a stalker, label her as some type of copycat, Wednesday believed there was a word for it... if she can recall.

Crossplayer? Cosplayer? Enid informed her about it one time to which she had no interest at all. This girl, this cosplayer was pretending to be her and she had the gall to insult her and claim that she was the imposter? No, she was going to kill her. If this fake imposter wanted to play this game then Wednesday would be more than happy to indulge her.

Enid was on her phone texting when her dorm room door opened, Wednesday and Xavier entered the dorm room.

Enid tossed her phone on the bed and approached them. She shook her head. "Where have you guys been!? You know, I was honestly about to start spamming your phone when you didn't show up but, then I thought; maybe I should wait a little longer. Maybe they're off somewhere making out or whatever but then, twenty minutes pass by and you're nowhere to be found!"

"We ran into a... problem," Xavier replied.

Enid's brows raised, looking toward Wednesday who seemed in ire. Her eyes widened as the gears started working in her head. "Oh... did... you guys get into an argument?"

Xavier scoffed, grinning for a moment. "No, well um, not with me. She came across someone, it was uh... it was very weird. Imposter syndrome, the usual things."

Enid's eyes flicked between the two. "Whats that mean? Did they do anything?" Anger flashed across the girl's mind at the thought of someone hurting her friends.

"Uh, no, she didn't do anything. Yet, that is."

Enid frowned. "She? So, it's a she? What'd you guys argue about?" On command, someone came into the room, a girl who looked remarkably similar to Wednesday, black hair and style, black dress. Her eyes widened. "Uh..."

Wednesday and Xavier turned around, seeing the other Wednesday in the room, she appeared to be looking it over, her eyes wandering.

"Who's that?" Enid asked, stunned.

"Enid, this is Wednesday." Xavier introduced, gesturing between both of them. "Wednesday, Enid. Enid, Wednesday."

Enid stared at the girl called  Wednesday...  "What the actual fuck?"

"What are you doing here?" Their Wednesday stepped forward.

"I was intrigued," the other Wednesday replied.

"Leave."

Xavier felt his shoulder get punched and he jerked. He began to rub it, looking at Enid. "What the hell was that?"

"What is going on?" Enid whispered.

Xavier shook his head. "I have no idea."

"What did you guys do while you were out? Did you summon another Wednesday!?"

"I actually did not do anything, buddy. Why are you accusing me?"

"You were with her!" Enid whispered loudly. "You should know!"

"Um, actually, I was getting something from the store like you asked, by the way." Xavier held up the bag. "Right here, see? But, when I left, she was gone."

Enid nodded. "Right, okay, so, it is your fault then."

"I'm sorry how? How is it my fault?"

"You let her out of your sight! And now suddenly another Wednesday is here!" Enid turned away, looking toward the two Wednesdays who were now bickering.

"Walk away now and I promise you, your death will be swift," Wednesday warned.

"Why not now? Settle it here? Are you afraid?" The other Wednesday replied.

Wednesday took an achingly slow step forward. "I fear no one."

"We're all gonna die." Enid cupped her hands, placing them over her head, hunching up.

Xavier placed the shopping bag on Enid's desk before tapping her on the shoulder. "Enid, do something," he muttered, worriedly glancing at the arguing Wednesday's.

Enid scoffed, turning toward the boy. "Me!? You do something!"

"You're her friend, you should be the one."

"You're her boyfriend, you should be the one!"

Xavier turned to the mutually anxious girl. "Look, Enid, if we don't do anything, this whole room is going up in flames."

"Forget the room, this whole school is screwed!"

Xavier nodded vehemently. "Exactly! Which is why we need to do something now, quick! Before they fricken blow a gasket!"

Enid stole a glance at the two Wednesdays who seemed to be growing agitated, more spontaneous as they threatened each other. She turned back to Xavier. "Well, what the hell are we supposed to do? Hold Wednesday back? What about the other one?"

Xavier shrugged. "I-I don't know, let's just focus on our Wednesday, forget the other one."

"Forget the-what!? What if she stabs us while our backs are turned or something!? The other Wednesday seems more... more cocky o-or smug or whatever while our Wednesday is more cold and calculating."

"Yeah, exactly, she seems more cocky and arrogant, she's not gonna do anything."

"And how are you so sure of that?"

"I'm actually not." Enid threw a look at him. "Okay, whatever but, we need to do something now. They're gonna kill each other. Here's the plan, I'll try and calm Wednesday down, you deal with the other one."

"What!? Why me!? Why do I have to deal with the other one!?" Enid exclaimed in a hushed voice.

"Because you made friends with our Wednesday, I'm sure you can make friends with the other Wednesday."

Enid whimpered, gulping. She suddenly threw a finger in the boy's face. "You know, I was supposed to be planning Ajax's surprise today! Not making friends with other Wednesdays!"

"Jax will understand, believe me, he'll understand."

Xavier looked to the two Wednesdays just in time to watch them pull out a dagger. He promptly stepped in, holding out his hands. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait! Girls, calm down."

"Stay out of this," the other Wednesday snapped.

"You shut your mouth." Wednesday spat out before turning to the boy. "Stay out of it."

"Wednesday, just chillax a little bit. J-Just relax, yeah? Uh, Enid, help me out?" The girl in question looked at him and he jutted his head toward the other Wednesday.

Enid gulped before making her way over to her, gulping once more as the girl turned toward her. She mustered up enough strength to plaster a fake smile on her lips. "H-Hi! I'm Enid, what's your name?"

"You already know," came the other Wednesday's monotone reply.

Enid whimpered.

"Look, you gotta relax, Wednesday," Xavier said.

"And why do I? I have an imposter here trying to be me, she's labeled me as such. She deserves to die."

"I think that's a bit over the top, darling."

"She's in my dorm where she has no business being."

"Okay, yeah, I get that but, I don't think she deserves to die."

"No, you're right. She deserves to be tortured and mutilated."

"She doesn't deserve that either."

"I suppose you didn't hear the threats she was spouting to me then?" Wednesday's eyes narrowed. "Are you trying to throw me off-guard?"

Xavier tilted his head, brows raised. "What?"

"You heard me, now answer the question."

"Uh, no, I'm not trying to throw you off-guard. I'm trying to get you to calm down so, you don't murder anybody unjustifiably."

"This is not unjustified, she deserves it." Wednesday turned back to the other Wednesday who was being talked down by Enid. "Don't get too close to her, Enid."

They turned to her, Enid with a startled expression and the other Wednesday with a neutral expression. "My quarrel is with you, not her," the other Wednesday said.

"Then do something about it, coward."

"Whoa, hang on. W-Why are you guys fighting? Shouldn't you guys be like... getting along or something? You're both dark, you both wear black, you're both gothic and monotoned as hell! Like why are you even fighting!?" Enid interjected.

"I don't get along with people, in general." Wednesday turned back to other Wednesday. "Even less with those who pretend to be me."

"It's quite the opposite, you are pretending to be me. I was born this way."

"As was I."

"Really?" The other Wednesday's brow raised arrogantly. "By the time I was eleven, I strapped my brother to an electric chair and shocked him."

"What?" Xavier whispered, glancing at Enid who shrugged in fear.

"I threw piranhas in a pool and one of the boys had their testicles chewed off." Wednesday one-upped.

"I led a rebellion in a summer camp."

"I took on a resurrected corpse and came out on top."

"You resurrected a corpse?" It seemed as though the other Wednesday was impressed, the raising of her brow appeared more inquisitive than smug.

Wednesday took a moment to answer. "No, someone else did."

The curiosity was gone and the arrogant expression slipped back on once more. "Oh, well, I suspected that."

There was a pair of footsteps stomping on the wooden flooring within the dorm and there was a whiff, someone passing by their room. This individual came back, poking his head in the doorframe, he was a boy, probably the same age as her who sported reading glasses and had short wavy and brown hair. "Get out," Wednesday glared as the boy stepped into the room.

"W-Wednesday?" The boy looked confused, he appeared to be analyzing her, staring intently almost as if he were trying to process what he was seeing.

The other Wednesday's eyes widened for a split-second and she turned around, facing the boy. "Joel?"

"Um, who are you and why are you in our dorm?" Xavier interjected.

"I-I was looking for Wednesday but... then I saw her come here so, I followed," Joel answered, looking at everyone in confusion.

"And you are?" Enid frowned.

"Oh, I-I'm Joel, Wednesday's boyfriend."

"Boyfriend!?" Xavier and Enid shouted in unison, Wednesday's eyes merely widened.

"Y-Yeah?" Joel frowned in confusion.

Enid short-circuited, erratically glancing at everyone before approaching the boy. "Joel, that is Wednesday, right?" She pointed toward the other Wednesday.

"Y-Yeah?"

"You're not lying?"

Joel shook his head. "No."

Enid nodded, looking toward the others at Xavier and Wednesday.

Joel turned to the other Wednesday. "Uh, Wednesday, your parents are looking for you. Should we go now?"

"Not until we resolve this issue," other Wednesday replied.

"What is that?"

"The stalker right in front of us."

"Wednesday is not a stalker!" Enid yelled. "She's been like this for like... as long as I've known her! If anybody's the stalker, it's you!"

"She's also been like this too, y-you should see her family." Joel offered much to other Wednesday's dismay.

Wednesday frowned, eyes widening slightly. "What do you mean?"

Joel was momentarily stunned at the inquiry put out by Wednesday. "I-I... her family is also like this. Not uh, as dark as she is but, they're all... eccentric."

At this, Enid turned to Wednesday with a frown.

"Okay, uh..." Xavier trailed off, rubbing his mouth. "So, maybe it's not a  stalker issue  or whatever. I-I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say that we crossed dimensions or something."

"That is just ludicrous."

"That's a big word, Enid," Xavier commented.

"Yeah, well, I have Wednesday to thank but, whatever, our worlds what? Combined!?"

"I-I think, that's what I'm guessing, at least." Xavier gestured toward the two Addams. "I mean if they're both called Wednesday and act the same, have the same family and all that other crap... what other explanation is there. I mean, look at her, that is Wednesday, right there."

"No, it is not." Wednesday glared at him.

"Yeah, right, you both wear black, you both have pigtails, you're pale. Yeah, no, that's not Wednesday." Xavier rolled his eyes, looking away.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait!" Enid exclaimed. "H-How would that even have happened!? When did it happen!? I'm sure we  all  would've noticed a dimension crossing over to ours!"

Wednesday frowned and a sigh escaped her. "Crackstone," she muttered breathlessly.

Enid looked at her. "Huh? What?"

"Crackstone," Wednesday repeated louder. Joel and the other Wednesday shared a confused look, more so Joel. "When Thornhill summoned him, she must've opened a portal of some sort. That's a theory though, it would explain their... presence."

Xavier sighed, eyes shutting. "Wow... that's awesome, so wonderful. Thornhill opened a portal..." a half-assed smile made its way onto his lips. "That's amazing."

No one said anything for a while. "We were..." Joel started, drawing everyone's attention, he glanced at the other Wednesday. "We were on our way to visit Wednesday's cousins then a bright light... we saw a bright light but, we thought nothing of it."

"There were no helicopters?" Enid asked.

"It was daytime."

Xavier nodded. "Yeah, okay, that definitely confirms it then. You guys crossed over to our world."

Enid facepalmed, sagging to the floor. "One Wednesday is bad enough, now we have two Wednesdays," she mumbled through her hands cupped over her mouth.

"I don't think it's a bad thing." Joel threw a smile their way.

Xavier shrugged. "Eh... she sorta has a point." Everyone turned to him. "Has she framed you for murder?" He asked, looking to Joel, ignoring Wednesday's death stare.

Joel frowned, turning to other Wednesday who looked contemplative. "Um, no."

"Oh, well, lucky you then."

Other Wednesday turned to Wednesday. "You framed him for murder?"

Wednesday met other Wednesday's gaze. "Not intentionally."

Other Wednesday nodded. "Fair play."

"Okay!" Enid shouted, clapping her hands. "Now, that we've got this all sorted out and none of us here is stalking anybody! Can we please get back to planning Ajax's surprise!?"

"Yeah, sorry for uh... inconveniencing you." Joel tapped the other Wednesday on the shoulder. "Wednesday your parents? We need to catch up with them."

She turned toward Wednesday who in turn, held her gaze. "We'll be off." Other Wednesday turned and left the room without another word. Joel nodded, offering a smile to the rest although his eyes lingered longer on Wednesday who glared in response; he turned followed after the other Wednesday.

A moment passed before Enid turned toward Xavier and Wednesday. "Two Wednesdays!?"
