Chapter Text
"I swore that he smiled and I felt my heart drop. Heard the doors open, came to my stop."
Rui and Tsukasa met for the first time on a train, each one on the way home, their paths crossed by mere chance; they didn't even exchange a word, but both wanted to see each other again, just one more time.
Tsukasa hummed the song that was playing in his headphones while looking out the window, he was in his own world without thinking about anything in specific; waiting for something interesting to happen. Until at a certain moment the presence of a purple-haired young man caught his attention. He was on the opposite side of the train, drawing in a notebook.
For a moment he worried that he had made him lose his concentration, but luckily he realized that person was wearing headphones. A sigh of relief escaped his lips when he thought he didn't hear him. However, that was not the case. Rui had actually been listening the entire time, he only had one side of the headset on, so that he was able to hear what was happening around him and could be alert when he arrived at his station.
When a small song hummed in a soft and sweet way reached hisq ears, he couldn't help but look and listen to that stranger who looked so peaceful. He even stopped making sketches of his next inventions to make a small drawing of that blonde boy with amber eyes sitting on the other side of the wagon. It was such a cute and angelic sight that he wasn't able to help himself.
On the other hand, Tsukasa looked at him out of the corner of his eye, while he felt his heart begin to beat rapidly, it was as if it were going to explode. He felt hypnotized by the beautiful individual sitting on the other side of the cart, he was simply beautiful. He wanted to talk to him, but he didn't dare to do so, the thought of whether or not to do it tormented him inside of his mind. And that's how he stayed like that for a few minutes, just like Rui. He also didn't dare to disturb how peaceful that individual looked.
When Tsukasa arrived at his station, the only thing he was able to do was give a small smile to that purple-haired man with golden eyes, and then disappear between the train doors. Rui noticed this and couldn't help but feel the butterflies invading his stomach when he saw a smile from that stranger out of the corner of his eye.
Not a word was spoken, only stolen glances and a faint smile, that left him wondering why he felt the need to see him again, when he was just a simple stranger he had encountered on the train.
