"Joel...are you alright?"
Grian asked, Joel was sitting on the couch and he looked...miserable, to say the least
"Grian...do you ever feel like you'll never find anyone to love? Metaphorically of course, you have Scar"
"Yes, I have Scar, but do you feel that way?" Grian asked, he was getting worried for Joel. Grian had been Joel's roommate for about 2 years, and he's never seen him like this.
It was clear enough.
Joel needed a boyfriend.
"Well, yeah! Maybe I do, I've just been so lonely, it's getting pathetic Grian!"
Joel exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air and onto his face
"Have you ever tried a dating app? A lot of people find their soulmate that way" Grian said, crossing his arms
"Uh, no? How do I do it?" Joel asked, taking his phone out and going onto Tinder
Grian walked over to Joel and sat down next to him and grabbing his phone
"Alright well first...name? Joel...interests?
What do you like Joel?" Grian asked, tilting his head
"Well what am I supposed to say?! Long walk on the beach?! Absolutely not" Joel exclaimed
"Okay then...has a temper...there!" Grian said handing the phone to Joel
"I do not have a temper!" Joel said reading what Grian wrote, while the smaller brunette giggled
"Ugh okay now what" Joel asked, staring at his phone like it was a new discovery
"Well now you swipe left if you don't like the person, and swipe right if you do like them" Grian said as if it were obvious
Joel muttered something along the lines of 'stupid app with stupid stuff and stupid people'
Joel was swiping left at almost everyone

It was now 12 and Joel was still swiping left
And then he saw someone
Someone so cool, so...cute!
"HE'S PERFECT!" Joel yelled, waking Grian up
"Who's perfect? And shut up I'm trying to sleep" Grian said waving his hand in the air and fluttering his wings a bit
"This guy here! Eefo!" Joel said, swiping right
"ITS A MATCHH!!!!" Joel yelled
"JOEL." Grian yelled back
"SORRY GRIAN!" Joel yelled, with the biggest grin on his face
Joel decided to message this 'Etho' person to introduce himself and maybe get to know this guy a little better
Joel.beans: Hello!
Ethoslab: hello Joel looks like we're a match lol
Joel.beans: yes we are! I wanted to get to know you better or something haha I don't know how to use this app...
Ethoslab: oh no worries, I noticed we live pretty close, maybe we can go on a little blind date?
Joel.beans: YES!
Joel.beans: I mean yeah sure whatever you seem cool I'm not freaking out right now
Ethoslab: LMAO! I can't wait! Maybe we can meet this Saturday? At that one pizza place?
Joel.beans: I know exactly where you're talking about! I'll be there
After that, Joel fell asleep, very happy.

It was Saturday! The big day when Joel finally meets Etho, the guy of his dreams
Grian was helping Joel get ready and comforting him, telling him everything is gonna be fine

Joel was at the pizza place, Grian told him to be himself so he didn't dress all fancy
And then he saw him
Etho
Joel started to blush a little, Etho looked so much better than Joel initially thought.
"Um hey, Joel right?" Etho asked
Joel was just in awe, looking at the taller man
"Um yes! Yes I'm Joel, you must be Etho please, sit down" Joel said with a giant smile

After they ordered food, they really hit it off
"So your roommate told you to get Tinder?" Etho said laughing
"Yeah! It was clearly a good idea because now I'm on a date with you" Joel said taking a sip of his soda and winking at him
"HA! Funny thing us, my roommate told me to get it as well!" Etho said laughing
Wow his laugh was incredible.
"Really?! Your roommate doesn't happen to be Scar right now THAT would be a coincidence" Joel said as a joke
Etho stopped laughing
"Scar?? He is my roommate...wait a minute...why? How did you know that?" Etho asked looking Joel dead in the eyes
"Uh...oh my god...Scar and Grian set us up! Oh you're kidding?!" Joel said, absolutely flabbergasted
"They sure did, sick geniuses" Etho said crossing his arms
Joel had to admit it.
Best. Prank. Ever.
"Well you have to admit, you like me right?" Joel asked nervously
"Of course I do, quite the matchmakers those two are I guess" Etho said putting his mask back on
"What about I walk you home Eefo?" Joel asked politely
"I'd be honored" Etho said

Joel and Etho were walking along the sidewalk to Ethos house, Joel didn't want to be too forward, even though he really liked Etho, and he knew Etho liked him back, he wanted to be respectful
That's when Etho brushed his hand against Joel's and grabbed it, Joel blushed, with the most goofy grin anyone could muster
Joel looked up at Etho
"So are we...?" Joel asked
"If you want to" Etho said smiling down at the small brunette
"Well of course I do Eefo!" Joel said
Etho laughed, repeating Joel's words
"Eefo"
"Ah! I can't say it Eefo!" Joel said getting flustered
They both arrived at Ethos house
"This is where I drop you off I guess" Joel said
"I guess so, I was kinda hoping for more can't lie" Etho said giggling
"More?" Joel said taking a step closer to Etho
"Maybe" Etho said looking down at the small brunette
Joel grabbed Ethos collar and pulled his mask down so that he could kiss him
It was amazing
Etho thought so
After a couple seconds Joel pulled away
"Good enough for you?" Joel asked, smirking
"Perfect, you wanna come in?" Etho said
"I thought you'd never ask" Joel said as they both stepped inside
They both sat on the couch, cuddled up in a soft blanket, Etho sitting at the edge while Joel's head was leaned up against Ethos shoulder, as they watched a movie.
"I love you Joel"
"I love you too Etho"
"You two need to get a room" Scar said, both Joel and Etho didn't know that scar was in the living room with their cat, Jellie, Scar was laying on the other couch, Joel guessed that they woke him up.
"Oh hey Scar" Joel said as Etho kissed Joel on the forehead
"It's fine, I was gonna go back to sleep anyways" Scar said yawning
Not awkward at all.
