Gopal and boboiboy had been friends for 5 years. They've shared sadnesses, fear and joy together, the duo had stuck by eachother's side through the years, adventuring and fighting evildoers with their friends.
Well, as if he had a choice did he? Ever since he met the boy, he really couldn't avoid getting tagged along with the battle fights and death threats, no matter how much he pleaded them to let him stay, fearing to lose his own life, the gang will always and always drag him with them.
Because this is a die together ride.
To much to his suprise, he didn't expect that befriending the boy would change his life forever.
can you imagine that? You're just on your way to your usual hang out area, out to order your favourite drink, when a new kid arrives, stating that he's the grandson of the barista that makes your favourite beverage. Then suddenly you became a team of superheroes. How crazy is that?
His social status is not the only thing that changed in his life after associating with the boy. But also the depth in their friendship that improved him as an individual.
Before Boboiboy arrived at rintis island, Gopal barely made good friends aside from ying and yaya, who also often hangs out at the kokotiam.
They were pretty close but he really couldn't say that they're his best friends, more of just close friends, since the duo already referred themselves as eachother's best friends.
Gopal is known as an extroverted kid, he's not shy, and will talk to you even if you don't know who the hell he is, he's known to be frank and will tell you his opinions bluntly, which often leads him into troubles.
No matter how he tried to be friendly, or talk to the kids at school, they never seem to have interest in hanging out with him, this made him feel lonely despite the company ying and yaya give him.
But after Boboiboy arrived, he finally got someone to call as his friend, someone he could hang out with, to tease, and get into troubles with, someone he can finally call as his best friend.
"Why would you do that? You promised..you promised~" he voiced shaky and breathy, tears started to drop on the surface of the box he was holding, causing it to absorb the liquid leaving water marks on the surface.
"How are we supposed to play the game together...if you're not here~"
The scenes transitioned from him in their shared room, to the planet where they earlier fought.
Armies of robots and foreign aliens attacked the villages, shooting lasers, and metal spears at the people. Causing mayhem on the exoplanet.
The warfare, was too difficult to the point that not even captain kaizo and admiral mechamato's presence was enough.
They had to call for extra back up to support their fight.
‘I was currently shooting the metal bots with my powers, transforming them into whatever food that comes up in my head.’
‘I tried to keep my cool and stay collected while fighting the enemies. But my constant panicked screaming and cowering, betrayed my true nervousness.’
‘I turned to look at my friend boboiboy, who's panting in exhaustion. Despite the weary expression he has on his face, the gleaming determination on his eyes remained vibrant.’
‘Suddenly he spoke, catching everyone's attention "I've got it! I know how to stop him" the Dino capped boy said his tone sounding so sure.’
Then my other friend Fang responded "go ahead boboiboy, we'll hold them up for you" "are you sure?" "Yes, Go on, we can handle them better now, our back up just arrived" captain kaizo continued. On cue an enormous spaceship landed behind them.
A masked man in a metal suit appeared as the hatch opened.
"Pian! Took you long enough" I turned seeing the man in the red suit, greet the other playfully as if they know each other very well.
"Sorry if we're late" the mask man spoke "something important came up" he trailed tone a tad playful.
‘Suddenly more bots appeared in the distance "just where do this things keep coming from?? " I complained’
"We'll take care of these, you two go ahead" maskmana stated, mechamato and boboiboy nodding.
‘I watched my friend merge himself, turning back into his usual outfit, then soon changing his appearance from an orange based attire to a red and black one.’
I suddenly called out to him "boboiboy!"
‘They all turned to me "Dey! Don't forget your promise" I said partly serious and joking, pointing at him, he turned to smile and nodded as a response, before fleeting away with his father. Leaving a trail of dust and tiny red charges in the air.’
‘I don't know what came into me, but there's this urge in inside me, that's telling me that I should remind him of his earlier promise. Which I find very odd. It's not like he's dying is he?’
‘If you're wondering what the promise was, I should tell you nothing's too special about it, it's just a video game he swore he'd play with me, to make up for the last time he couldn't.’
‘I didn't think much of it, and focused on zapping the robots with my transformation powers.’

‘Soon enough we managed to destroy them all, everyone had mild injuries, aside from maskmana and his allies.’
‘They sure were a big help, but to be fair they came late, so it's still us who had done more damages.’
‘We all headed to captain kaizo's ship, which I wondered why, and not at the metal masked guy. His ship is way cooler than captain kaizo's even boboiboy would agree if was here.’
They were all treated in the infirmary and headed straight to the control room where captain kaizo was at, he was currently speaking with the commander.
"Alright, I've reported to the admiral and the commander that our mission to defend the village is a success" captain kaizo stated casually.
"Now all that's left is an update with the admiral mechamato and boboiboy" yaya spoked
On cue the large screen in the room, played a video of a red sphere. The bot was in panicked but also seemed relieved to finally see us.
‘I quickly asked "where's boboiboy?" Then the others following up, flooding him with questions.’
He explained their situation, telling us to get there asap. He also asked us to prepare the infirmary, which wasn't a problem since it seemed always ready.
‘I'm so relieved that it's finally over. Boboiboy had done it again.’
But as soon as he was about to show us the two, he stopped, and gaze at the unavailed scene.
‘That got me curious and concerned. What did he see? Another enemy?’
Maskmana called him out, snapping him from his trance. He looked at the screen and said "I'll just send you the coordinates, come here..fast"
‘Oh no, I know that look. I've seen that many times, I hope we don't get into another boss fight
how serious was their injuries? That mechabot wanted to prepare the infirmary, it's probably nothing too serious and not different from what we received.’ questions filled my mind and hoped for the best.
I was wrong.
‘We arrived at their area, that's when I saw my best friend, Bathing in his own pool of blood. There he was cradled by his father staining his clothes with crimson red. His hat discarded on the sandy floor.’
He stopped at his tracks, his world crumbling around around him.
‘he was perfectly fine earlier, sure he was tired..but he was fine. What happened?’
What..happened?
He clenched his teeth tears streaming down his cheeks, as he both held the unboxed video game and a picture of him and his friends.
He looked at the image, seeing the boy's warm eyes that stared back at him, the assuring smile he used to give.
‘You're such a promise breaker, boboiboy, just like always.’
What's going to happen to him? Who will he call his best friend now, who will he hang out with, tease, and get into troubles with?
Not even qually could replace him.
He might've called him his bff but he's so different from him, and he could never call qually the same way he called boboiboy as his besfriend, because there's only one and true friend he had ever had, his only one true best friend, and brother.
Now he's alone again.
