    Summary

There are two reasons why Chuuya tolerates Dazai:

    1.) The god inside Chuuya hates him;
2.) Chuuya definitely hates the god more than the stinking demon mackerel.

Or, alternatively, that one time Dazai and Chuuya swaps abilities, and Arahabaki was never the same.

“Arahabaki says you’re nothing but trouble.”
    “…and do you believe him?”
    “I think he’s right.”
    "..."
“He also said I should stay away from you."
    “…and what did you say?”
“I told him he also got that right, but being right isn't enough to make him my boss.

    Summary

A human being without feelings is a silent echo in the desert of their own existence. They are not a monster with sharp teeth, but an absence, an empty house where there was never laughter or tears. Their skin is a map of scars that don't hurt, their eyes are mirrors that reflect nothing. They are a spectator of their own life, a ghost walking among the living, imitating gestures they never understand.

They do not know the sting of sadness or the light of joy. There is no love to lift them up nor anger to consume them. Only silence. A deep silence that extends from their mind to the end of their days. Their destiny is not glory or hell, but the cold indifference of a stone. Such a being has no story to tell, only an existence to fulfill, like a tool without purpose.

They may be human, or unworthy of being considered human.

"But, time-bound soul, I feel when I speak and you listen, when I smile and your eyes forget the heavens for just a moment, that my own wings forget why they were given, that down to my bones I feel it in the very soul I left here on earth, well why is this?"

"Would you just stay?" Chuuya asks, he feels like he pleads.

"Stay?" The angel asks, a heaviness to his voice. It sounds like heaven should sound, yet he is but one angel.

    Chuuya nods. "Stay."

The night was beautiful. It was a cold one, quiet and still. The skies were clear, starry. Parting is hell, but life goes on. "I do not belong here, this ground is made for the living, and I am very much dead."

AU where Dazai is an angel and spends his days lazing about. Chuuya is a human, who will eventually die though he falls stupidly in love with an immortal angel from the heavens. Eventually, they come to realise their apparent history, there's just one problem— Angels are forbidden to involve themselves with the living.

The ADA learns that Dazai is/was the Demon Prodigy, their reaction wasn't pretty. How will Dazai deal with this situation and is he really made to live in the light, or will he welcome the darkness back into his heart.

    Summary

A pen rests too long on a page, and the ink blotches. It corrupts, and it spreads, infecting the other words. It renders the page unreadable.

This is what happens to Edogawa Ranpo. One moment changes the course of his life. But not just his life. Because actions have consequences, that span out like tree roots. And like ink smudges on a page, everyone is affected. Some are just worse off than others.
