With his trembling hands, the mentalist gently caresses his friend, hoping Taiju is alive, hoping he'll be back, hoping he'll be okay, but at his state there's no way he'll get up, Taiju is a precious friend of Senku and Yuzuriha's important person. Gen flinched as he heard another gunshot, this time it went to Ryusui who was smiling even when he was shot. Gen cried out loud when he saw another of his friend died in front of his eyes.
Immediately, he took out a white cloth to make a white flag and begun waving it at them, it was all in vain when they fired again and completely destroying his flag. he noticed the enemy doesn't have a plan to back down or let them be. Heck, they planned on massacaring all of them until they win.
"In which case... "
"Yup! It's do or die. So— "
Almost both forehead is touching each other, Senku and Gen grinned and look each other with anxiety and fear but also the excitement with in their eyes, Senku trusted his friends, thanks to them, he reached at this point. Gen and the others has faith with Senku's plan.
Senku explained their plan to their other comrades and it was successful, the Medusa was triggered thanks to the sacrifice of the other members of the KoS left in North America. The Medusa was slowly reaching their location, the price were sacrificing their comrades at the opposite side.
"No way! Launching the petri-beam from the North America!?" Chrome said to Senku as he watched the light is coming closer to them.
"Yep, we're ending humanity all over again. In order to win and to save everyone." Senku replied.
Gen looked amazed, in this way they would be able to revive everyone who sacrifice their lives, they would be able to revive themselves if the petri-beam reached at them and turned into stone, they would be good as new after after the revival fluid would be pour at them.
"Oh I know! This might take a baaad amount of time but we can rig a scientific mechanism that would splash some revival fluid on—"
"S-Senku-chan!? "
Chrome's sentences was cut off when a loud shot of gun came and shot Senku. It happened so fast as the man fell on the ground as the revival fluid that senku was holding was also destroyed. Gen, Kaseki and Chrome immediately went to Senku but another gunshot came and the bullet went to Gen. It went straight to his chest as he fell on his stomach. Gasping for breath. Both of him and Senku were no longer at the conditions to move, Chrome had to think quickly on what to do next.
Kaseki saw Suika who was running desperately towards them to carry on the bottles of revival fluids but Stanley was able to stopped her as she tripped when the man shot her in her legs, Suika cried in pain but the child manage to threw one bottle of the fluid in the direction of Kaseki, Chrome immediately climbed up the tower as the old man threw the remaining bottle at him as Chrome carefully placed it on the top.
Senku cannot move but he knows what was happening, he can still speak but the pain is too strong for him to move even a millimeter this is actually the second time he got shot but of course he is a human after all, he would not be able to get used to this. Beside the scientist, there's also the mentalist who was also shot. Senku was aware that Gen is still alive but he don't know how long but he knows they would make it all alive as soon as the Medusa reached to them, even at the brink of is death, Senku's brain is still working well. He look at another side, Suika is also close to them.
Suika can't move nor she can't stand up, with her blurry eyes, tears coming out as both of her legs are bleeding, Senku could see the child is in no conditions to move at all no matter how hard she tried, The scientists knew he had to think who would be going to the tower and would revive all lof them again?
He let out a harsh cough that blood came out, "The one who can move is Kaseki and Chrome, "it's either one of the move to the tower but Stanley would just shot the two at no time... Kukuku..is this going to be tied? Do I have to count another thousands of years?"
Not until a dry chuckle came out from the mentalist.
"S-Senku-chan... Even... in this situation, even in our near death, you would... always like to.. Overworked this poor m-mentalist..." Gen said but his voice were shaking. Senku eyes widened when he saw Gen slowly stood up, but of course the mentalist wasn't able to stand up properly a lot of blood stained on his purple kimono, Senku was surpised that he still managed to stand up despite being shot on his heart—
"It's do.. Or die right? " Gen continued,
Then a sudden realization came to Senku.
"Kukuku....T-That's right... As expected of you mentalist..." *He grinned, excitement came to him, and once again, Gen managed to make him amazed. he felt like an idiot on forgetting one important thing about Gen. The scientist's hope went back again, and the mentalist grinned back at him.
"Gen. Make our scientific revival fluid... Rain down on us. We're.. Counting on you. " Senku stated on a hoarse voice, he knew he didn't have much time. He look at the mentalist one last time as Gen understood what he said.
"Make me a bunch of cola after this Senku-chan~" He said then he begun running towards the tower immediately. Despite being shot on his rib. He ignored the pain. Thankfully his feet is still working. It's painful, so painful but he has to do it, beside he also experience this when he wsd stabbed by Magma and had to run all the way back to Tsukasa just so that he can report lie for Senku. He almost tripped but immediately regained his balance, his other hand holding his chest from where he was shot to stop the blood coming out.
Senku chuckled, as he saw the mentalist reaching the tower "See you soon, Mentalist. "
When Stanley was able to run and about to grab the bottle to stop their plan. Kaseki and Chrome tackled him on the ground, they saw Gen who was able to get in the tower before Stanley shot the two of them so that they can unhand him.
"H-How? " His eyes widened, He made sure his aim is perfectly and only in one shot he can kill a person but he saw Gen was still able to move that he still managed to run.
"....Stanley-chan... Of course... Magicians never revealed their secrets. "
Gen smiled at the man like be usually did whenever he tricked someone before it all went pitch black.
