Summary
Ichigo knew he was weird. He just didn't know how weird he was until he started talking with other Shinigami (and Arrancar). Others think his relationship with his Zanpakutou is weird and doesn't make sense. To him, it all makes sense. What he had with Ossan and Zan made sense to the three of them even though it confused and weirded out others.

If you think about it, Ichigo is such an oddball example in Shinigami and Arrancar circles. Nothing about him makes sense, but it doesn't have to make sense to anyone who wasn't one of the two ding-dongs in his head.
