Summary
The blazing lights Riya had manufactured start to sparkle and spit onto the old floorboards below, but none of the jubilant performers seem to pay the hazard much attention. The bass pounds in Hunter’s chest, complementing the attentive thumping of his heart as he watches Yul launch into his solo.
“Yeah, I believe I’ve cracked the code–” Yul bellows, his hips so narrow as he swings them across the stage, “enjoying every second, and it never gets old – oh, oh, oh-oh-oh!” And he tosses his head back, displaying the long, flushed line of his neck, glimmering with sweat and a smattering of amber paint. He points to the sable sky, and the lights lurch wildly above.
