Summary:

Kyoko Sakura and Sayaka Miki ditch school to go on a mall date:3

Notes:

hiiii I decided to write my very first oneshot on my comfort ship. this whole style of writing is new to me so mb if it's cliche, but its ok since I gave the lesbians happiness. this takes places in the mid 2000s, and I hope you like sonic references and gen alpha brainrot words. also some things in here aren't from the 2000s but uh (insert explanation of time loop shenanigans)

shoutout to GayCheerios for subconsciously planting the idea of oneshots in my gay brain so take it as a sorta gift of spreading my W rizz on ur page. so glad I met u<3(we also may or may not have a collab in the works)

also if ur following me thru lesbianronpa the next chapter will be out be end of april(hopefully)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“Another boring afternoon in class”, Sayaka thought to herself. The teacher, Ms. Saotome was trailing off on a weekly yap session while Sayaka, Kyoko, and Madoka all had to listen.

“And THAT’s why you never trust a man who refuses to go bowling! It’s an AMAZING date! Could he have thought of anything better? What did he want, the bar AGAIN?” Ms. Saotome rambled to the void, to Kyoko’s amusement.

Kyoko nudged her girlfriend, and whispered “What is she yapping about?” Into Sayaka’s ear. Sayaka giggled, and whispered back: “Has she maybe tried women?” Kyoko wheezed, and her head hit the desk.

“Young lady! Why are you laughing at your OWN KIND?” Ms. Saotome screeched, and pointed at the redhead.

“My own kind? You know I am a lesbian.”

“BURNED!” Shouted Madoka.

“That is so disrespectful! I could write you up write now-”

RING!

“Saved by the bell.” Kyoko grinned slyly, and got out of her seat.

“Be grateful for the bell gods.”

“I pray to them everyday-”

“That’s enough, Kyoko. Can’t let you dig your own grave further.”

Sayaka held Kyoko’s hand, and started to walk out the classroom.

“Fine, Mom.” Kyoko retorted, and squeezed her girl’s hand.

“I’m literally younger than you.” Sayaka sighed, and walked out of the classroom as Madoka waited outside in the halls. “Would it be so hard for you to just shut it, for once?” Sayaka pondered.

“Nuh uh, this whole predicament is on YOU straight shaming our teacher, you monster!” Kyoko pouted, and started swinging her hand with Sayaka’s.

“Okay then.” Sayaka snickered, and started to swing her arm faster and faster. Madoka glanced at the girls. “I don't think this is a good idea…” she stated.

The girl's arms kept swinging faster, and faster, and faster… BOP!

“Ouch!”

“Oh no…” Madoka held her hands over mouth, in embarrassment.

Kyosuke’s head was bruised, and he stared at the couple who stopped swinging.

“Oh shit…” Kyoko muttered, releasing Sayaka’s hand.

The trio leaned against the wall, while Kyosuke pointed directly at Sayaka. He stood in the hallway, a few feet away.

“How dare you injure me! I’ll have you know, I’m the best violinist in this city, no country!”

Sayaka side-eyed the stupid male, and stared into him. She then raised one finger up, and said: “How dare you injure me! I’ll have you know, I’m the best violinist in this city, no country!” In a high pitched voice.

“How dare you make fun of me!” Kyosuke pouted, and crossed his arms.

“L rizz.” Sayaka denounced.

“How could you even say that, I’m a sigma!” Kyosuke pouted.

“Nuh uh! You can’t even rizz up Hitomi’s gyatt.”

Kyosuke cries and runs away, while Kyoko default dances.

“That was too skibidi Ohio, Sayaka. Madoka frowned. “I understand why, but you fanum taxed too hard.” Sayaka’s post rizz clarity hit in, as her shoulders dropped.

“I’m still really hurt, Madoka. I didn’t even get a thank you.”

Madoka gave Sayaka a soft hug, and brushed her hair with her hand.

“And your grieving process is valid.”

“Thanks, Madoka.”

“Anyway, I have a lunch date with Homo-ra now.” Madoka released her hug. “You gonna be okay today?” She asked.

“Yeah.”

“Toodles!” Madoka grinned at the gays, and skipped away.

“She’s really good.” Kyoko finally commented.

“I-it’s not like you aren’t! Madoka just-”

Kyoko placed a reassuring hand on Sayaka’s shoulder. “I understand.” Sayaka sighed in relief.

“Sooo, whaddya wanna do now?” Kyoko asked Sayaka. “I dunno….” Sayaka trailed off. “You look like you need some fun, to take your mind off him.”

“I don’t think I can right now. I don’t feel for him like that anymore, but I still feel shitty.”

“You wished to help him, do you still regret it?”

“No.”

“Why?”

“Cause I met you, silly!:

Kyoko blushed. “Why thanks. Sucks it was this circumstance though.”

Sayaka crossed her arms. “Yeah… we can’t change that.”

“Don’t get all brooding on me! We can change the present, now!”

“Really? How?”

“Let’s ditch this damn school. I can’t stand all its prestige.”

Sayaka’s eyes gaped. “We can’t just skip! My family pays so much for this! Plus, we’d get in so much trouble.”

Kyoko put her hands up in defense. “I’m not saying we drop out. I’m saying we ditch today’s class, and do something we actually wanna do. Plus, it’s not like your parents are really… present.”

“Hey!”
“So, back to the brainstorming. Got any ideas?”

“No! What could you think is more important than our academic future!”

“The mall, duh. There’s an arcade, food court, clothes shop, ”

Sayaka paused, considering the situation.“Well, it is the morning IF we slip out, it won’t be too hard… but what about the cameras!”

Kyoko made a sheepish grin, while pointing her fingers together. “Let’s just say I have that handled.”

“What. Did. You. Do.”

“Just a simple camera loop is harmless.”

“Kyoko!”

“You know you love me.”

“Yeah! I do! But the things you do…Ugh!”

“So are you in or not? It’d be a shame to go all alone without my stunning girlfriend…”

“Fine! I’ll go!”

Kyoko grinned, and started walking back towards the classroom.

“Why there?! Are you trying to get us caught?!”

“Relax, babe. There’s an emergency exit for janitors.”

Sayaka started following, keeping her distance. “I’m not even gonna question how you know about that. But I’m more worried about how suspicious we look, there’s no one in the hallway except us.”

“Relax again. I’ve got this.”

As if on queue, Ms. Saotome popped out of her door like a jack in the box. Sayaka jumped out of her skin a little, while Kyoko remained motionless. “WHAT ARE YOU TWO GIRLS DOING? YOU SHOULD BE AT LUNCH RIGHT NOW!” “

Easy, teach. We’re just picking up some photocopies for Mr. West.” Saotome scoffed. “But why bring Sayaka as well?”

“She keeps me in check, duh!” Sayaka had caught up to the group by now, and Kyoko enthusiastically put an arm around her shoulder and grinned.

“Is this true, Sayaka? Is she not getting you into trouble?”

“No, no! Nothing bad, only picking up copies. And there’s a lot of them! Y’know him, always needing all the sheet music printed out.”

Saotome raised a single eyebrow. “Checks out. But you two should have a hall pass!”

“We’re good, we’re good!” Sayaka said quickly.

Saotome slammed the door, behind her as the girls sighed in relief. “You’re lucky she didn’t pick up on how suspicious you sounded.” Kyoko interjected.

“Same for you.” Sayaka mumbled.

“Aaaanyway, what matters most is we’re scott free. Let’s bounce!” Kyoko threw her fist in the air in triumph, and she kept speed walking down the hallway.

“So how close are we?” Sayaka responded, following closely behind.

“We’re right about… here!” Kyoko stopped in front of a yellow door with CUSTODIANS ONLY painted in big black paint.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?”

“Positive.”

Kyoko swung the door open, only to hear:

“HOOONK, mimimimimimimi.” The custodian was sleeping on a chair, holding a toilet plushie that had a head coming out.

“Great job, Kyoko.”

Kyoko frantically grabbed the door before it slammed against the wall. “We should be okay now.”

Kyoko tiptoed across the room, and pulled on the door inside. She jolted back in surprise. “This is…” she whispered.

“Locked?” Sayaka retorted, also in her inside voice.

“Thanks, queen obvious.”

“So now what’s your plan?” Sayaka asked.

“So the door’s locked… Aha!”

“Every time you get that excitement in your voice, it’s never anything good. Or legal.”

Kyoko snorted. “Morally questionable, legally reprehensible. Just the way I roll.”

Sayaka whispered even deeper. “You know that isn’t it.”

“Why are you even still out there?”

“I was waiting for you to finish it.”

Suddenly, loud footsteps boomed down the hallway.

“Get in!” Kyoko urged.

“It’s not like I have a choice.” Sayaka went in and hid behind a trash can. Kyoko followed suit, and hid under a broom rack.

The footsteps grew louder.

“Any idea who it is, Sai?”

“I can’t see yet…”

They grew even louder, and a familiar face appeared again. Saotome. She walked right up to the open door, and groaned.

“Janitor, when you take your naps at least PRETEND to be professional like the rest of us!”

Saotome slammed the door shut, causing everyone inside to jump a little.

“Franlin?!”

The janitor jumped awake, wide eyed and alert. The girls tried to hide their gasps as best they could.

“Oh, it was just Sao-tome breaking in on my fun, again. Stupid lady.”

HONK, mimimimimimimi. HONK, mimimimimimi.

“He sounds like a cartoon.” Kyoko groaned. Sayaka sighed. “I really don’t wanna be stuck here the whole day.”

“We won’t! Sayaka, just open the door.”

Sayaka got up slowly, and walked to the door. “Here we go.” Sayaka groaned as quietly as she could, and started turning the knob.

She stopped dead in her tracks.

“What’s wrong?”

“It won’t budge.”

“Just force it, easy.”

Sayaka then leaned her whole body against the door, and then into the knob. “I think I got this!”

The knob twisted and turned, and Sayaka pushed with all her might.

“Shit!”

Sayaka lost her balance, and started falling but caught herself from the fall. She quickly scurried back behind the can.

Kyoko gasped in shock.

“Now who’s there?”

The janitor opened his eyes again, and noticed the knob on the floor. “Now that’s freaky like friday. What if I just sleep some more, and maybe the problem will go away.” Without fail, the janitor went back to sleeping, and snoring loudly.

“Great, now we’re trapped. Any bright ideas, girlboss?” Sayaka asked sarcastically.

“Ever heard of payday 2?”

“Huh? You’re confusing me, Kyoko.”

“I played it a couple times at a place where I crashed it. Long story short, stealth heists.”

“What are you yapping about…”

“See the keys on the janitor?”

“Please don’t tell me we’re stealing this.”

“Nuh uh! We’re just borrowing.”

“Sure, Kyoko.”

“Just grab it! It’s not like there’s another option.”

“Fine.”

“You’re the best love you babe!” Kyoko pumped her fist in the air.

Sayaka crawled down to her hands and knees, and slowly moved to the janitor. “Ick, it’s so dirty here.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll book a spa when we’re out.”

“Here we go.” Sayaka whispered, as she drew close. Sayaka didn’t hesitate, and swiped the keys. She put them in her pocket, and crawled to Kyoko. “Ya know you didn’t have to crawl all the way, right?” Kyoko lectured as Sayaka got up.

“I know, but it’s fun! Made me feel like a secret agent.”

“You’re so weird.”

“You not rockin’ with the roleplay?!”

“Whatever. Give me the keys.” Sayaka reached into her pockets, and gave Kyoko the keys. “Thanks.” She said and quickly unlocked the door.

“You can come out, I’ll put the keys back.”

“How will we get back in?”

“We don’t need too.”

“What about our stuff?”

“I’ll text Madoka to pick it up.”

“Alright, I’ll wait.”

Sayaka walked out, and leaned against the wall.

“Ugh, why’d it have to be against the garbage can…”

Kyoko ignored her protests, and snuck back into the room. She carefully put the keys back around the janitor, and walked out and closed the door.

“We’re good now. The mall’s a short walk through town.” Kyoko grabbed Sayaka’s hand, which she immediately pulled away from.

“I don’t wanna get the crap on you!”

“Don’t worry, I still want to hold you.”

“Even when I’m dirty?”

“Always.”

Kyoko leaned and gave a kiss on Sayaka’s forehead, causing her to cheeks to become rose colored. “We got to go, now.”

“Understood.”

Kyoko held Sayaka’s hand again, and they started walking out from the dumpster. “How long do we have to walk?” Sayaka asked. “Around 10 minutes. So if there’s anything you wanna talk about, say it. It’s not like we have anything better to do.”

“So, do you think Madoka and Homura would make a good couple?” Sayaka pondered.

“What?!”

“You heard me. Ever since we started dating, it started a Domino effect.”

“I guess you could say that.”

“Madoka came out as pan, after I said I was bi specifically. And you said you were-”

“Lesbian.”

“Yeah, and Homura hasn’t said anything, but we all kinda know.”

“Gay as hell.” Kyoko snickered.

“Exactly, have you ever SEEN her talk to a man? I don’t think she’s even looked at one.”

“And it’s SO obvious she likes Madoka. Bet she’s overjoyed she has a chance.”

“I wouldn’t be so sure. She is my best friend after all.”

“Are you being possessive again?” Kyoko questioned.

“No! I just… don't want her to get hurt.”

“Understandable. So what are you worried about?”

Sayaka took a deep breath, and exhaled. “Homura’s already very Madoka minded. Like obsessive. I’m worried it’s gonna get even worse if they get together. Homura fixates on her the absolute most. Notice how she’s always so happy with her but not like that for ANYONE else?”

“Could be BPD. But her pining would be over, wouldn’t she finally be satisfied with having Madoka all to herself?”

“I don’t know. That girl- seems to be a more, more, more, type.”

“I kinda get we’re you’re coming from.”

Sayaka looked right into her eyes. “Really?”

“Yeah, and you just want to protect her. I get that.”

“Thanks, Kyoko.” Sayaka said, as she squeezed her hand a little tighter.

“Anyway, we’re here! Mitakihara Mall.”

The mall wasn’t grand, but it might as well have been an oasis for the girls. Long, boring school days wear any girl out, even more so to the magical ones. “Finally. How long have we been walking?” Sayaka pondered.

“It was only a 15 minute walk. Don’t overthink it.”

The girls walked into the mall, and plopped onto a bench. “That was long… Kyoko, can you play with my hair?” “Not before we get some wash, at least.”

Kyoko gestured to a hand sanitizer, and gave herself some. Sayaka followed suit, then both girls went back on the bench.
“So about my question…”

Kyoko flashed a thumbs up, and Sayaka leaned back so her head was resting on Kyoko’s lap.

“I don’t know why you love this so much, there’s barely anything!” Kyoko pouted, but started playing anyway. “You know you love my blue hair and pronouns!”

“Yes, babe.” Kyoko sighed “So anyway, where do you wanna go first?”

Sayaka pulled out her phone from her skirt pocket, then started browsing the web. “There’s a spa, bookstore, arcade, cafe, several courts of food, and many clothes stores…”

“Clothes first.” Kyoko said, without missing a beat.

“Why?”

“If you didn’t notice, we’re still in our schoolgirl uniforms. I can already FEEL people giving us shady looks.”

“Then where first?”

“Have you ever heard of Hot Topic?”

“Isn’t that where the emos go?!” Sayaka retorted.

“Surprised you’re dissing your own emo-tional kind.”

“Doesn’t matter, let’s go!”

Sayaka leaned her head back up, and jumped into readiness. “Just when your head was getting comfy…” Kyoko whined.

“No time to waste, you said it first!” Sayaka laughed, then took off running.

“It’s on, bitch!”

Kyoko took off, chasing her. (“Wait… does she even know where the store is?”) Kyoko wondered to herself. She didn’t allow any more thinking as she increased her speed.

“You’re gonna have to catch me, Kyoko-chan!” Sayaka giggled, as she ran right by the store. Kyoko smiled to herself, then went right in without saying anything.

“Kyok-OOOOO!” She squealed, and took a quick look behind her.

“Kyoko?” Sayaka questioned the void. (“Now where could she have gone?” Sayaka wondered, and trailed back a little. “Hot topic?!” She glared at a sign of the store, and stomped her way in.

“Kyoko!” She growled, and walked in.

“YAA!”

Only to be hug ambushed from Kyoko.

“Kyoko! That was so stupid!”

“I pranked my girlfriend, I pranked my giirrrllfriend!” She sang, swinging herself and her wife side to side. “So what do they have in here?”

“Something you’ll look hot in, obviously.”

Sayaka blushed. “I’ve never been called-

“You did now. Time to get dripped out!”

Kyoko walked off again, and went right to the graphic shirts.

“Ouu, they got so many cool shirts here!”

“Like what?” Sayaka wondered, then walked to her. She stood in front of a display full of video game inspired clothing: including Mario, GTA,

“I love this game! Sonic Adventure?! Goated.”

“What’s that?” Sayaka asked.

“ONLY THE BEST GAME OF THE WONDERFUL YEAR, 2001.”

Sayaka examined what she was gawking at, and picked up one of the shirts.

“Oh, Sonic. That little blue guy. But who’s that other guy?”

Sayaka gestured to the shirt beside it, another shirt with Sonic Adventure logo on it. “That’s SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG!”

Kyoko picked up the shirt, unfolded it, and held it in front of her.

“He understands me.”

“What?”

“Oh, you wouldn’t get it.” Kyoko shrugged, and folded the shirt back, still holding it.

“Ok-” Sayaka raised an eyebrow.

“HE JUST LIKE ME FOR REAL!”

“Okay?”

“Sayakaaa! Let’s match these shirts! You be Sonic, I’ll be Shadow!”

“Cute!” Sayaka said, and grabbed the Sonic shirt.

“We can’t be wearing our school clothes out here! Now… what for bottoms?”

Kyoko eyed a pair of dark black denim short shorts.

“Easy peasy!” She exclaimed, as she grabbed the shorts. “Now what about you…” Kyoko said, as she eyed the rest of the store.

“Oh! That denim skirt would look so great on you!”

Kyoko then picked up a blue denim skirt, and plopped it in Sayaka’s hands.

(“I can barely keep up with her. But I’m glad to see her in such high spirits, despite everything.”) Sayaka thought to herself, and giggled lightly. “So, are we good for checkout now?” Sayaka said.

“Wait…” Kyoko dashed to another side of the store. “What’s that?” Sayaka said, as she eyed the rack.

“Oh, you want me to wear thigh highs?” Sayaka spoke, as she smugly grinned.

“Obviously! It’s not my fault you have such great legs!”

Kyoko's face burned bright red, as she handed the pair to Sayaka. “Why are you so flustered, Kyoko? These are pretty standard blue leggings.”

“You… pretty…” Kyoko mindlessly gazed at Sayaka. She then shook her head quickly to snap out of it, and walked to the cash register, and Sayaka followed suit. She plopped her goods down on the counter, and Sayaka followed.

“That’d be $85, total.” A female cashier explained.

Kyoko smiled, and pulled out some cash. She gave it to the employee, while Sayaka’s eyes gaped open. “Thank you for your business!”

“Can we change?”

“Sure, ladies. Now, aren’t you supposed to be in school?”

Sayaka froze, while Kyoko winked at the lady.

“We’re actually doing a social experiment.”

“Sure, buddy.” The cashier sighed, and put the rest of the clothes in a bag before handing them to the girls. “Me first!” Sayaka shouted excitedly, grabbing her clothes from the bag and running to the changing room.

“Glad you got your enthusiasm back.” Kyoko smiled, and pulled out a GameBoy advance to pass the time.

After a few minutes, Sayaka burst out the door.

“Allll DONE!”

“Looking hot.”

Sayaka grinned, “takes one to know one!” She held onto her old clothes as Kyoko grabbed her new clothes out of the bag.

“You can put your old ones in the bag. Gimme a few.” Kyoko said, as Sayaka put her uniform in the bag. Kyoko went back into the fitting room, and started changing while Sayaka waited. After a few minutes, she emerged and put the old clothes in.

“All done! Look at how we match!”

Kyoko did Shadow’s pose, while Sayaka just stared.

“What are you doing?”

“Doing the shirt pose, duh!”

Sayaka looked down at her shirt.

“Oh yeah.”

“Hey, lady!”

The cashier looked up, and stared into Kyoko. “What.”

“Take a picture of us!”

“Will it make you leave? You’ve been in here for 20 minutes. And frankly, I think you’re scaring the new customers.”

A group of aggressively straight looking girls side eyed the couple for a brief second. “You look at us like you don’t kiss each other at sleepovers.” Sayaka dropped on them.

“WHAT WAS THAT?” One loudly questioned. “Easy, babe!” Kyoko retorted, and placed a hand on her girl’s shoulder.

“I will take one picture and you leave. Deal?” “Sure! Kyoko said immediately and gave her disposable camera to the cashier. They posed, and the picture came out of the camera.

“Thanks!” She said, took the camera and picture, and shoved the clothes bag into Sayaka’s hands. “We’re going. Now.” Kyoko firmly stated, and grabbed Sayaka’s hand in an iron grip and left the store. She kept walking as Sayaka protested.

“Lemme at 'em!”

“Save it for the witches! Plus… uh what else to buy?”

The girls kept walking, until Kyoko noticed another sign.

“Shoes! Let’s go!”

“Remind me, why?”

“Because look at these crappy steps we have! We must acquire s w a g.”

“I really don’t need any…”

“Whatever.” Kyoko walked into the shoe store, and Sayaka followed again. Kyoko wasted no time, and grabbed a pair of red Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG’s. Sayaka caught up, and stared at the shoes.

“How much?”

“$200.”

“200 DOLLARS FOR SHOES?”

“Uh, yeah? These are Micheal Jordan’s own brand, y’know.”

“I KNOW! WHAT’D YOU EXPECT?”

“I dunno, I feel you’d be too 🎵classical music🎵f to know about that. And calm down, Sai. We don’t want any more trouble.”

“It’s so bad you’re the one saying that. Considering how we met, and all.” Sayaka sighed, and browsed the offered shoes.”

“These are way too expensive.”

“You don’t get it.” Kyoko put the Jordans back in the box, then headed for the cashier.

“Wait!” Sayaka exclaimed. Kyoko stopped walking, and turned her head to look back while standing still.

“What is it, babe?”

Sayaka’s eyes were hypnotized on a specific shoe. “I want those.” Sayaka pointed at the Air Jordan 1 Gatorade “Blue Lagoon” shoe.

“Ayyyee! Glad you’re giving it a chance. I’ll get it, too. It isn’t that expensive.” Kyoko retorted while Sayaka grabbed the pair.

“How’d you get all this money, anyway? Or do I not even want to know.”

“A witch dropped lots of money. Surprised you didn’t ask sooner, honestly.”

“Sure.”

The girls walked to the register, and paid for the shoes. They then sat down on a bench in the store, and changed into their new shoes. They put the old dress school shoes in the same bag as their old clothes, and Sayaka carried it.

“They’re kinda stiff, Kyoko.”

“You just have to break them in. Anyway, we are on POINT!” Kyoko grinned, and stood up. Sayaka followed suit, and they held hands again.

“So, is there anywhere else you wanna stop by?” Kyoko asked.

“Barnes and Noble.”

“Yeah! Literature!” Kyoko enthusiastically said.

The couple then walked into Barnes and Noble, and stopped at the children’s books section.

“I want that one.” Kyoko said, and grabbed a copy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.”

“I can’t stand reading that series. Everyone in that family is insane.” Sayaka groaned, and browsed towards the poetry section. “Don’t I remind you of Rodrick?” Kyoko asked. “A little? I mean, you’re both queer coded older siblings.” “That’s the biggest compliment I’ve gotten from you. I am SO getting played by Devon Bostick.”

Sayaka picked up a single book, and flipped through it. Instinctively, Kyoko hovered over to her.

“Whatcha reading?” Sayaka closed the book, and showed Kyoko the cover. “Way to live up to the stereotype.” Kyoko giggled, as the book was “The Complete Poems of Sappho.” “Don’t act like you wouldn’t get SO turnt on to me reading that.” Kyoko burst out laughing. “Now we’re ‘artsy lesbians.’ And it’s all on you.” “You’re welcome.”

The girls continued browsing, until they stopped at the self-help section. “I think this one would be helpful for you.” Sayaka said, and handed Kyoko a PTSD workbook. The air grew heavier, as Kyoko fidgeted her hands. “Did I do something wrong?” Sayaka spoke. “No. It’s just… a lot to remember.” “You can do this, darling. You’re the strongest and prettiest girl I know, magical or otherwise. You fight witches, you will destroy your demons. I love you.”

Kyoko dropped her bag, and leaped into a hug with Sayaka. “Sayaka-chan… you’re the best.” Kyoko then rapidly fired kisses onto her girlfriend’s cheeks, as Sayaka wrapped her leg around Kyoko’s. Both girl’s hearts pumped with passion, as Kyoko then picked up her girlfriend. One arm below her thighs, and one around her chest. They then went into a full kiss, as Sayaka felt truly adored for the first time in her life. It was only them, two girls. Nobody or nothing else mattered, just each other’s lips.

After a few minutes, the girls released their kiss, and Kyoko let Sayaka down. “That was… magical.” Sayaka smiled sheepishly. Kyoko grinned ear to ear, as she dizzily shaked around, drunk on Sayaka’s love.

“Anyway babe, uh…” Kyoko stared back at the shelf. She quickly scanned through the shelf, and pulled out one book. “This one.” “Codependent no More? You think I’m…”

Kyoko fell back down to Earth, as her sass returned. “Clearly. You depended so much on Kyosuke, and even on me and Madoka to an extent. I just… don’t want you to fall into the same patterns.” Kyoko fidgeted with her hands again, before Sayaka grabbed them.

“I appreciate it. I don’t know if I am, but… we fight together, we cry together, we heal together. We live together, we love together, we breathe together. Our tether of together is forever.”

“Damn! You didn’t even read the book and you are already a straight POET!”

“Did you just call me straight?”

“Straight up gay!” The girls shared a brief laugh, before Kyoko looked at a clock in the store. “2:50? We gotta go!” Kyoko grabbed the books, and went to checkout. “Can you call Madoka?”

“Got it! Let’s hope Homura isn’t holding her on TOO tight of a leash…”

Sayaka checked out, and the girls walked out the mall. “She says she’s got our stuff, and we’ll meet up at Mami’s place for a sleepover.” “Do you think it’ll be awkward if we'd be the only couple there?” Sayaka asked. “Not if Homura’s rizzed up Madoka by now. Successfully.”

“Anyways, wanna listen to something?” Kyoko asked her girlfriend. “Sure!” She enthusiastically responded. “It’s by this new rapper, Kid Cudi. It’s called “Man on the Moon” which is supposed to be about depression, drugs, and overcoming pain. So basically us minus the magical girl part.

“YOU DO DRUGS?!” Sayaka yelled at her.

“Watch the volume!” Kyoko responded, and pulled out her ear buds. “They’re wired, so…” Sayaka grabbed her hand with her free hand, and walked close enough to lean her shoulder on Kyoko. “Of course I’ll get close to you! Why wouldn’t I?”

Kyoko smiled, as she put the earbuds into each other’s ears, and pressed play as they walked to Mami's house of lesbians.
